Charizard's entrance didn't draw much attention from the Rocket Team grunts.

Everyone, including Hiroki, only saw Sabrina as a serious threat.

They viewed Luo Yuan as merely her sidekick.

But they quickly paid the price for their underestimation.

"Charizard, Flamethrower!" Luo Yuan commanded.

Charizard unleashed a powerful Flamethrower toward Rocket Team's Pokémon. The blazing fire struck a Weezing that had just started releasing poison gas.

The flames ignited the gas, setting off a violent explosion.

Boom!

The blast engulfed not only Weezing but also a handful of nearby Pokémon.

The shockwave rippled outward, forcing everyone—Rocket Team grunts and Silph guards alike—to shield their faces instinctively. Several smaller Pokémon, or floating ones like Magneton, were thrown off balance by the blast.

With a flap of its wings, Charizard countered the incoming shockwave and sent a flurry of Air Slash blades toward an Ursaring standing across the battlefield.

"Air Slash!"

Compressed wind blades flew toward Ursaring.

Rocket Team may not have had the strength of Kanto's division, but they weren't helpless either.

Their response was quick: "Ursaring, Protect!"

The air blades hammered against Ursaring's shield, creating a series of dull thuds.

Though Ursaring managed to absorb most of the damage, a few stray slashes left minor cuts, but it pushed through the attack with its thick hide.

Charizard, however, had no intention of simply standing back.

Since the confined space didn't allow for large-scale moves like Blast Burn, Charizard instead launched forward, skimming the ground as it charged at Ursaring.

"Dragon Claw!"

Charizard's claws glowed red as it swiped at Ursaring's exposed belly.

Slash!

Three deep gashes appeared on Ursaring's body.

"Roar!" Ursaring howled in pain, its eyes bloodshot as it entered a berserk state.

In the world of Pokémon, bear species were notoriously fierce.

A frenzied Ursaring was a terrifying opponent.

But… it was facing Luo Yuan's Charizard.

Though restricted by the battlefield, Charizard was still a force to be reckoned with—even without using its most powerful moves.

With a snort, Charizard flew up to avoid Ursaring's swipe, only to dive down and land behind it.

Flames ignited on Charizard's fangs.

"Fire Fang!"

Its burning fangs bit down on Ursaring's shoulder.

Ursaring bellowed in pain and swung a Hammer Arm, attempting to hit Charizard.

But Charizard's wing swept down hard, slamming into Ursaring's back and knocking it off balance.

A Dragon Breath followed by another Flamethrower scorched Ursaring's back, leaving its fur charred.

Charizard finished it off with a final Dragon Claw, sending Ursaring crashing to the ground.

Thud!

Ursaring's massive body hit the floor with a resounding thump.

The Rocket Team grunts watched in shock as their once-formidable Ursaring was taken down in seconds.

"Damn it!"

Hiroki was quick to react.

Realizing his initial assessment had been wrong, he saw that the Trainer beside Sabrina was not to be underestimated.

Quickly, he released all his remaining Pokémon.

"Weezing, Toxic!"

"Nidoking, Brick Break!"

"Muk, Sludge Bomb!"

All of Hiroki's Pokémon were Poison-types, each fitting Rocket Team's signature style.

Luo Yuan glanced at Sabrina and signaled for Slowbro to join the fray.

Sabrina caught his look, her eyes flashing as she directed her Alakazam to immobilize the Weezing about to unleash its Toxic. At the same time, her psychic powers held back a group of grunts who were trying to join the attack on Luo Yuan.

This left Luo Yuan in a straightforward 2-on-2 match.

Charizard unleashed a Flamethrower to intercept Nidoking's Brick Break.

As for Muk…

"Broooh~!"

Slowbro appeared, using its psychic power to stop Muk's Sludge Bomb, keeping it from getting anywhere near Luo Yuan.

Seeing Muk, Slowbro's normally lazy eyes sharpened.

Usually uninterested in fighting, Slowbro found itself unusually focused. Even it couldn't ignore the overwhelming stench coming off Muk, forcing it to push its psychic abilities to the limit to keep Muk at bay.

"Roar!"

Nidoking, seeing its ally in trouble, charged forward, claws raised to strike at Slowbro.

But Charizard wasn't pleased by this attempted interference.

It snorted, then flew toward Nidoking, delivering a powerful tail swipe to its leg mid-charge.

Nidoking's leg buckled under the impact, throwing it off balance.

Thud! The thirteenth floor trembled slightly as Nidoking crashed to the ground, wincing in pain.

"Damn it! Come on, Nidoking, get up!" Hiroki shouted in frustration.

He desperately wanted to put Luo Yuan in his place.

But with all his Pokémon engaged and most of his grunts occupied, he had no backup.

On the other hand, Silph Co.'s security staff were rallying.

They'd just witnessed the power of Luo Yuan and Sabrina firsthand—between the two of them, they had singlehandedly held off almost all of Rocket Team's forces, taking complete control of the battlefield.

Inspired, the security guards pressed forward with renewed vigor, coordinating with Sabrina and Luo Yuan to push back the Rocket Team members.

Sabrina singlehandedly restrained multiple grunts, her psychic power picking off Rocket Team Pokémon one by one.

Meanwhile, Slowbro and Charizard worked together seamlessly.

One controlled the field with precise psychic attacks, while the other launched an unrelenting frontal assault.

With Officer Jenny and the Saffron Gym's reinforcements on the way, the situation was turning dire for Rocket Team.

Under Luo Yuan and Sabrina's guidance, everything was falling perfectly into place.

Then—

Boom!

With the cover fire from his squad, one of Rocket Team's demolition experts finally blew open the vault door behind them.
