Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas

Athena's POV

"A whore who tried to seduce the alpha successors?."

That's so petty and low of them to take pictures of me leaving the restroom after the Alpha mates and my ex, and tagging it as seduction.

The internet was on fire; do they think they can cyberbully me? Just wow. First, they were eavesdropping and pulling nasty stunts. Now this?.

I was very furious at them, maybe these three have not learnt what it means to mess with me. I took a deep breath and walked up to them.

They are the queens of bullying. I guess no one has stood up to them before; that's why they keep moving around like stuck-up chickens.

But today, I'm going to show them that they have crossed the line." What is the meaning of this, you three?".

"Why do you act like this isn't what you have been doing all along to get their attention?" Tracy said, staring at me and raising her voice as if she were addressing or calling for the attention of the already gathered crowd in the hallway.

I swear I was about to knock somebody out, like, what did she just say to me?. 

"Let me take over and teach these girls a lesson", Athena said, stirring agitated inside me. She is as furious as I am, if not more.

"No, let me do this myself." 

No vampire senses and no wolf intervention, they are small fry left to gloat, because no one dared to stand up to them.

I took two steps forward, staring down at Tracy.

"Did you just say that to make yourself feel better that you aren't getting noticed by the Alpha successors?. So you think slandering and defaming me will make you three…" I turned to look at the three of them with my index fingers pointing at them. "Get noticed by the alpha successors, how pathetic."

The crowd booed. I guess this is the reaction they wanted, but trying to humiliate me won't work.

Tracy raised her hand to slap me, and I caught it. "Struck a nerve and now you resort to violence, how low can you be?"

The audience jeered and cheered as if this were some sort of entertainment.

"Too low, trust me, but not as low as a dick sucking slut like you, Aria", Tricia said. "A lowly newbie wolf trying to familiarize herself with people out of her league."

Athena was boiling over at this point and threatening to lose control.

Tricia and Alexa were already at my back, getting ready to attack me if I made the first move. So I turned to them.

"Well, see how you are gathered around me like Tracy's little puppets, humph." I guess my words got to them, because they were cracking their knuckles, ready to fight me.

"Get my picture out of the media or else…" I turned to face Tracy, who was the architect of all these.

"Or else what?" Tracy sneered, moving closer till we bumped as if daring me.

"Or else you have us to contend with", Aven cut in.

Oh yes, and the Alpha successors, the sole reason for this altercation, save the day. 

Athena danced within me, the excitement filling her, but I wouldn't let them see it; they are also another problem, just like the jealous trio.

I could picture the shock on their faces. "But she is…"

"If I were you, I would keep my mouth shut", Tristan added, taking my spot in front of Tracy. 

"You know you crossed the line when you didn't just defame our mate but also defamed us," Damon said with a sinister look.

"Mate?" Everyone watching the scene gasped, each wondering how it was possible.

Alexa and Tricia were already cowering in fear at that point; the aura emanating from the alpha successors was so possessive, dark, and dangerous. 

"What are you waiting for, Tracy?". Tristan barked at her.

And as if on autopilot, she picked up her phone and started deleting all the hideous pictures they had posted.

"And what are y'all looking at ?" Aven said, addressing the audience that seemed captivated by the whole scene.

They all dispersed, some towards the cafeteria and some towards the dormitory area. 

Tracy and co fled too, I guess they got what they deserved after all. However, I don't enjoy people fighting my battles.

"You don't have to fight for me, I could have handled the situation. What part of stay out of my business, I'm not a damsel in distress is hard for y'all to understand." I didn't want to appear weak, not in front of Tristan, Aven, Damon or Zade.

"Well, you are our mate, and even though we don't like your sharp mouth, we must protect what's ours."

Athena was excited to hear them claim ownership of her.

"Humph," I walked out from their middle. 

I missed lunch yesterday, and the events of today are threatening to steal my lunch again. But today I've chosen to eat my lunch no matter what. 

As I stepped into the cafeteria, all eyes were directed towards me. This attention was so unnecessary. When did things escalate this fast?

Well, they can gossip all they want, I'm just here to eat, and that's what I'll do.

Mel beckoned to me to join them at their table. I guess I would take it. Zade had occupied the opposite seat, and I didn't want to have awkward conversations with him.

I'd rather familiarise myself with my roomies than my ex-turned-mate.

"Aria, you are getting so popular, you are on everyone's lips", Mel said, as I sat down. "So you are mated to the alpha successors? How did this happen and when?"

"Well, it's not like I'm thrilled to be mated to all of them," I replied to Mel with a shrug.

"Do you know how many people are looking for a mate, and here you are, blessed by the moon goddess," Larissa added, with an exaggerated, sarcastic expression, pointing towards the Trio. 

Mel laughed out first, and that provoked laughter from Larissa and I, making Tracy and co turn towards us.

"I'm so exhausted, I think I should retire to the dormitory for a nap"

"Wait a little, let's join you since we are headed in the same direction," Mel said, making a pouty face, and pulling my hands, gesturing for me to sit down because I had already stood up to leave.

With that face, I just had to sit down since she was almost done with her food. Mel enjoyed eating and most especially. Finishing her meals was most important.

"Look, your mates just entered the cafeteria." Larissa gestured to me teasingly. They walked into the cafeteria as if they owned the people inside. I was pissed, but my wolf betrayed me. She felt the mate pull so much that she couldn't control her heat.

"I guess it's time to learn some control, the scent of your heat is all over the place."
