Chapter 499: Chapter 500: The Water Capital (Part 1)

The power of Hashirama Senju's cells is unmistakable. In the original story, during the Fourth Shinobi War, Obito demonstrated this strength. Even after becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki and losing that power, he used the Samsara of Heavenly Life technique to revive Madara Uchiha—and yet, Obito survived and continued to fight until finally falling to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's All-Killing Ash Bones. If Obito could endure so much, Nagato, with his Uzumaki lineage, would fare even better. The Uzumaki clan was renowned for their longevity.

For Yahiko's resurrection, Daniel hadn't summoned Madara or Hashirama. Only he, Nagato, Konan, and Sasuke were present. Sasuke was there to witness the effects of the Samsara of Heavenly Life technique firsthand. Although Sasuke possessed the original Rinnegan, he hadn't fully mastered it yet, making him eager to observe Nagato's expertise.

"Samsara of Heavenly Life," Nagato intoned. He took a deep breath and formed the necessary hand seals. A coffin rose from the ground, and as its lid opened, a familiar figure stepped out.

"Konan, Nagato…what is this?" Yahiko looked around in astonishment, examining his hands, still vividly recalling his own death.

"Welcome back, Yahiko." Seeing Nagato and Yahiko overcome with emotion, Daniel stepped forward and briefly explained the situation.

"I see. Thank you for all your hardships, Konan, Nagato," Yahiko said, understanding the years of struggles his friends had endured. Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko had always been a close trio, with Yahiko serving as their strategist. His honesty and insight into the dangers of Obito and Black Zetsu had once led to his tragic fate. His integrity, combined with his lack of strength, prevented him from escaping that trap.

"We'll leave you three to catch up." Daniel nodded and left the underground base with Sasuke, leaving Konan and Yahiko alone, locked in an affectionate gaze.

Nagato, aware of Konan's love for Yahiko, had never made his own feelings known. Once, he had even caught them nearly kissing, fueling the anger and grief he felt over Yahiko's death. He had wished he could trade places to spare Konan the pain.

"Now that our agreement is fulfilled, these eyes are yours," Nagato said, offering Daniel his Rinnegan. Although Nagato had wielded the Rinnegan for years, he had never wanted it after learning its origin. Perhaps without it, Yahiko's tragedy would never have occurred.

"Very well." Although Daniel hadn't intended to take the Rinnegan from Nagato just yet, since Nagato was offering, he saw no reason to decline. Using the powers of the Op-Op Fruit, Daniel painlessly removed the Rinnegan from Nagato's eye sockets and then used a Twin All-Healing technique to restore Nagato's natural eyes.

"Your eyes will take some time to heal, so it's best to rest for a while," Daniel said, carefully covering Nagato's eyes.

"Thank you very much."

Three days later, Yahiko, accompanied by Nagato and Konan, expressed deep gratitude to Daniel. Though Daniel had originally agreed to help Nagato revive Yahiko in exchange for the Rinnegan, Yahiko was grateful for Daniel's influence on Rain Village. The village's transformation, and the potential peace in the entire Shinobi World, moved him deeply.

Over those three days, Yahiko had learned all that had transpired since his death. Nagato had even proposed that Yahiko resume leadership of Akatsuki, but Yahiko refused. Everyone knew Nagato as the leader, and changing leaders now would cause too much upheaval. Instead, Yahiko offered to support Akatsuki as an advisor.

Following this decision, Akatsuki's upper ranks were expanded to include figures from the remaining four major ninja villages: Tsunade, Kakashi, Mei Terumī, Kurotsuchi, Gaara, and Temari. Minato and Kushina, having left Leaf Village, were busy rebuilding the Village of Whirlpools.

The unification of the Shinobi World was inevitable, and including these leaders would help reduce resistance and accelerate peace.

Daniel had little to say about governance, as his experience was limited to theory.

"Minato truly is a genius. This Flying Thunder Formation technique he developed is incredible," Daniel said. The Flying Thunder Formation, unlike the Flying Thunder God, had the advantage of being much easier to learn. While Flying Thunder God required a special spatial talent that even Madara and Hashirama lacked, the Flying Thunder Formation could be used by any skilled jōnin.

Though not suited for combat, it was highly effective for transporting supplies and traversing long distances, even surpassing the Heavenly Transfer Technique in some ways. Inspired by Minato's technique, Daniel found a way to cast it solo, using Shadow Clones to divide the task among three bodies, significantly easing the chakra requirements.

The Flying Thunder Formation's only drawback was its high chakra cost. Even so, its versatility made it invaluable, especially for future Akatsuki operations, where its applications in logistics and transport would be unparalleled.

"Apologies, Tenten. It seems I stole your fortune." Holding the Six Paths' treasured tools, Daniel chuckled. He had collected the Six Paths tools from both the Kinkaku Force and the ones held by Cloud Village. However, after testing them, he realized why Madara Uchiha had never sought them out: their power was limited. While they were potent against Kage-level shinobi, they proved ineffective against super-Kage-level foes. Even the Kohaku no Jōhei, the Amber Purifying Pot, couldn't capture a tailed beast like Gyūki in a single stroke.

Moreover, items like the Seven-Star Sword, Golden Rope, and Crimson Gourd had overly specific conditions, limiting their practicality. Only the Bashō Fan and the Amber Purifying Pot held some appeal.

The Bashō Fan, for instance, was ideal for non-jutsu users, such as Guy, Rock Lee, Tenten, or members of the Hyūga clan. It allowed them to wield all five chakra elements freely. Tenten had even taken down three of Kakuzu's hearts using it.

"This fan might suit Chelsea. She dislikes combat, so it would be perfect for her." Although Daniel could also wield the fan, its usefulness to him was minimal.

"After all this, I'm finally ready to go." Before leaving, Daniel relocated Angkor Fortress to the former Hidden Waterfall Village and left a Wood Clone to oversee it. Wood Clones could endure indefinitely if not used in combat.

"Welcome back, Grandmaster." Daniel's first stop was the Qin's Moon world, where he intended to handle some alchemy business. Previously, he had been too occupied to oversee the production of the Elixir of Immortality, but now, with a Wood Clone, he could manage it.

The Yin-Yang Clan lacked the materials for the elixir, but Daniel had ample resources. Though Yunzhong Jun could refine the elixir, Daniel didn't trust him entirely and didn't want to monitor the process for the entire three years it took to complete. Even with Ying Zheng's order, Yunzhong Jun might find ways to take a share for himself.

Now that Daniel could refine it himself, he would produce not only the Elixir of Immortality but also plenty of Lesser Immortality Pills.

After setting up alchemy in the Qin's Moon world, Daniel turned to the larger political landscape. With Qin's strength and Ying Zheng's rule, there was little chance that Prince Changping could disrupt the state's stability.

Leaving another Wood Clone behind, Daniel visited several other worlds: Attack on Titan, Harry Potter, and others. Only in the Harry Potter world did he leave a clone, to cultivate medicinal herbs and stockpile supplies. The house-elves there used magic to aid farming, and Harry Potter's abundance of food made it the best-supplied world he had encountered.

Most worlds, other than modern ones, struggled with food shortages. Even the Shinobi World faced famine, and the One Piece and Qin's Moon worlds were often in need. Though he didn't urgently need provisions, stockpiling now could prevent issues later.

In Ready Player One, food had become a valuable commodity due to resource depletion.

"What are you doing here? Is the Dark Continent expedition over?" In the Hunter x Hunter world, Daniel was surprised to find both Aida and Robin waiting for him at his villa in Saba City.

"It's over, we're back," Aida and Robin explained. Their team, V6, had reaped immense rewards from the Dark Continent, collecting four of the Five Desires, though the Longevity Rice eluded them. Many lives were lost fighting the Hell Bell Double-Tailed Snake, leaving the officials, Beyond's team, and the Hunter Association in disarray.

The chaos had been sparked by Daniel's prior actions, ultimately leading to countless casualties. Even the team most eager for the Longevity Rice abandoned their pursuit, unable to bear further losses.

The V6 delegation had aimed for more than the Five Desires. Their ultimate goal was to gather intelligence on the Dark Continent and possibly find a sixth treasure.

One of the teams, likely Beyond's or the government's, ventured into the area where Daniel had previously obtained the Bee King's Honey, only to be relentlessly attacked by swarms of bees. They unknowingly bore the brunt of Daniel's prior actions, becoming the bees' new target.

With the overwhelming bee assault came larger nen beasts that forced the

expedition to retreat. Even Daniel would have found it challenging to face such overwhelming forces.

Following these disasters, Chairman Netero captured Beyond's faction, and the official team also retreated. But as they left the Dark Continent, a strange calamity struck: shadows began attacking their human counterparts.

By the time they escaped, their original 200,000-strong group had dwindled to less than 5,000.

Luckily, these shadow creatures couldn't cross water, and thorough checks ensured none had entered the six continents.

With over 200,000 casualties, the expedition ended in tragedy, and V6 reverted to V5, expelling the newly-formed Kakin Empire, which disintegrated after Daniel's intervention.

"Those creatures are terrifying," Daniel muttered, watching the video of the Dark Continent footage Aida and Robin had recorded. Now he understood why Netero and the others had chosen to retreat.

Endless bee swarms and nen beasts made even the thought of returning daunting. V5's only focus now was preventing the shadow monsters from reaching the six continents, lest they bring ruin to the world.

"Well, with things settled here, it's time for some overdue business." Robin's true enemies were the World Government and Spandam's father, Spandine, who had led the Buster Call on her home island of Ohara. Both were out of reach for now, but Daniel could still target Spandam on Enies Lobby.

"I agree. Plus, I'd like to see them." Aida smiled slyly, eyeing Daniel with a hint of mischief.
