Chapter 253
"Is this... Red?" Blaze Qistina's eyes flickered with surprise and doubt. This didn't quite look like the Fire Cat, yet she felt a familiar aura from this fire Cat.
"Yes, this is Red. But how did you end up here, and who are these people?" Blaze Regret asked with a frown.
"They are all members of the Stun Family."
Mentioning this brought a mistiness to Blaze Qistina's eyes again. "At noon, I was with the Great Elder escorting supplies when we encountered a rare Grass Crystal Flower. Just as I was about to successfully form a contract with it, Stun kiu from the Stun Family suddenly showed up with people, demanding I break the spirit contract and hand over the Grass Crystal Flower to him.
The Great Elder was outraged and fought them, which led to this mess."
"You mean the Great Elder is still fighting with the Stun Family?" Blaze Regret's eyes suddenly turned sharp, a chilling intent flashing quickly within them.
"Cousin, one of them is an eighth level spirit Imperial master. We should hurry back to Velorian City to get reinforcements!" Blaze Qistina said anxiously.
"It's too late," Blaze Regret replied, glancing at Red. Understanding the clue, Red's body expanded to the size of a Three Tail Sun Blaze Cat and crouched in front of the two.
"Cousin, are you going to..." Before Blaze Qistina could finish her sentence, she found herself lifted onto Red's back, the cold wind howling past as they sped forward.
"Don't worry, I've got this," Blaze Regret reassured her softly when he noticed her tense expression.
Hearing this, Blaze Qistina could only purse her lips. Although she wasn't sure what Blaze Regret had up his sleeve to face an eighth level spirit Imperial master, she had no choice but to trust him at this moment.
As ancient trees whizzed by, Blaze Regret followed the direction Blaze Qistina indicated and soon saw a forest. At the forest's edge stood nearly ten figures clad in blood red robes, seemingly guarding something.
"People from the Blood Seal Sect. What are they doing here?" Blaze Regret frowned slightly as he looked ahead. It seemed today's situation was more complicated than he had initially thought.
"Cousin, the one at the front is Ken Aishi from the Blood seal Sect. He's quite well known at Bloodstone Pass, but he wasn't here before," Blaze Qistina said quickly, slightly taken aback.
"The Blood Seal Sect is conducting business here. No unauthorized personnel allowed!" Ken Aishi barked, his eyes darkening.
"My friend, I have an urgent matter, please make an exception," Blaze Regret said, holding back his impatience as he cupped his hands in a gesture of respect.
In the past, he wouldn't have been so accommodating, but with Blaze Peter in danger, wasting any time could lead to unimaginable consequences.
"There are plenty of people who want favors; why should I care about you?" Ken Aishi sneered and turned away, unwilling to pay Blaze Regret any more attention.
A cold gleam flashed in Blaze Regret's eyes as he suppressed his anger. With a flick of his hand, he sent a gold card containing a hundred thousand gold coins flying toward Ken Aishi's position.
"Oh?" Ken Aishi caught it with a backhand, and upon detecting the large amount of gold stored within, his eyes lit up. Even he couldn't help but be tempted by such a substantial sum.
"So you're rich?" Ken Aishi looked at Blaze Regret with a peculiar expression.
"My friend, please grant me this favor," Blaze Regret repeated, cupping his hands again, his voice urgent.
"Granting a favor isn't impossible, but you'll need to give me another million gold coins," Ken Aishi said with a grin, looking at Blaze Regret as if he were a lamb ready for slaughter.
Blaze Regret's fist clenched tightly, and his pent up anger finally erupted overwhelmingly.
"Screw you!"
"I'll take you on, you old hag!"
Hearing this voice filled with murderous intent, Ken Aishi and his fellow disciples from the Blood Seal Sect were momentarily stunned. With their status, they were accustomed to acting arrogantly within the Blood Stone Pass, and had never been scolded to their faces like this before.
Regaining his composure, Ken Aishi looked at Blaze Regret, his face instantly darkening.
"Swish!"
Before he could get angry, a fierce gust of wind tore through the air from the front. The sharp claws of the Threr Tail Sun Blaze Cat glistened with a lethal gleam, striking menacingly at Ken Aishi's vital points.
"Courting death!" Ken Aishi's face suddenly turned grim. His hands quickly formed seals, and tiny, cold snowflakes scattered before him. A heavy shadow appeared out of thin air, striking the Three Tail Sun Blaze Cat's body and sending it flying.
It was a massive snow tortoise, about a approx. 3.3 meters in size. Its crystalline shell covered its body, and as the snowflakes drifted around it, even the air seemed to freeze.
"A seventh level high rank Imperial grade Snow Crystal Giant Tortoise." Blaze Regret's expression changed slightly. This was the kind of spirit beast he feared encountering the most. Its attack power wasn't strong, but its defense was terrifyingly high. He couldn't afford to be delayed any longer.
"Though I don't know what urgent matter you have, as long as I'm here, you'll never get past," Ken Aishi sneered maliciously. Just thinking about how this kid might regret it for the rest of his life because of him gave Ken Aishi a sense of vengeful satisfaction.
Seeing this, the other disciples of the Blood Seal Sect also released their spirit beasts, looking at Blaze Regret as if he were just a toy.
"Bang!"
The Three Tail Sun Blaze Cat, repelled by the Snow Crystal Giant Tortoise, traced a parabolic path and landed stumbling on the ground. Just as it was about to charge again, a silver figure stomped onto the ground, with such force that the very ground seemed to tremble.
Upon seeing the sudden appearance of the Rock Horned Dragon Rhinoceros, Ken Aishi and the others' pupils contracted. A slightly ominous feeling surged in their hearts; they might have bitten off more than they could chew this time.
