As Xu Fan had predicted, by the dawn of the following day, it was Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage himself, who visited the Senju Clan compound.

The master of the Cloud Ninja Village was after the Byakugan of the Hyuga Clan, so naturally, they would not touch Hinata.

"I've already learned to extract chakra," Xu Fan said, getting straight to the point after greeting him. "I'd like to attend the Ninja Academy."

Five years ago, Xu Fan had said so, but because his chakra was weak and his body so frail, it had been denied.

Sarutobi Hiruzen's heart tightened.

Could it actually have been Senju Xu who defeated the Cloud Ninja yesterday?

He may not enroll himself to Ninja Academy today, considering it recently ended admission but this is not a concern with what was he taught inside.

Of all importance was how high his expectation became over the future of Xu Fan.

After all, his own age was catching up to him, and he needed someone to inherit the Will of Fire.

"This might be the right time to strip Danzo of his advisory role and disband Root altogether."

Such thoughts, which Sarutobi had considered before, now grew firmer with Xu Fan's emergence.

Meanwhile, Root had also received news of Xu Fan, and this information was quickly delivered to Danzo.

"Senju Xu," Danzo said, muttering the name, his hand crumpling his teacup without even being aware of it.

"Are you sure?" Danzo raised his bandaged arm. He looked perfectly calm, though inside, he was in the last stages of convulsion.

All the pieces of evidence collected pointed to the fact that Senju Xu was the one who murdered the Cloud Ninja and brought the devastation in the border forest.

"I am absolutely certain," the Root operative replied firmly, kneeling on one knee. As a sensory ninja, he wouldn't have made such a mistake.

The chakra levels of that boy far surpassed anyone he had ever known.

"I see… stand up for me, Dazziel"

Danzo clenched his fist.

If this boy only possessed immense chakra, it would be one thing.

But if he could also use Wood Release…

"I understand. You're dismissed," Danzo said expressionlessly, though his mind was already devising numerous plans.
