Chapter 28: The Motion Of The Plan

The next day went by like clockwork. Just as planned, Nasiah went to deliver food for the prisoners, sending out messages to them under the noses of everyone that was stationed there.

It was a simple message that they would soon be saved and have hope. That they should act as if everything was normal, as well to look out for the moving day, as that was when they would strike.

They were told to eat the messages as well, ensuring that no traces of what was to come were left for anyone to see.

It was an additional safety measure, of course, as the notes were set to decay very quickly once exposed to air.

Nasiah would be the one to collect information for them from the outside. He was naturally inquisitive, so his nature won't be questioned.

This all began to culminate when Forenus called for him alongside Forcas, Musa, and many of his men to finally ensure that the House of Yuseff had next to no power within these lands.

His mother did not come with them. She did not want to be revealed out into the public eye. This was respected by Forenus as if he were to show Myrym around, this might provoke a much greater counterattack than he would have planned for.

Myrym, however, dressed her son up in his disguise. Once more ensuring that no one outside of her purview would see him and believe that he's the enemy.

They met by the borders of the base, Forcas giving Nasiah a piggyback ride as she was in a rather good mood these past few days. The boy enjoyed this, playing with her ears as she laughed.

Musa sat alone, having returned from his travels; he seemed to stare off into the distance. Forenus, meanwhile, stood tall, surrounded by many of his soldiers.

He turned around to face the group, giving them a nod. "We now march ahead to find as many bases that were taken in the first few months of the campaign. We shall raise this banner to signify that they have lost."

Forenus raised up a flat that had the shattered cleaver of Jossel into the air; its pieces still glittered under the sunlight.

It was clear, a show of power and strength. The announcement of the knight's disappearance should have reached them, thanks to those who fled. This shall confirm, in their eyes, that he was defeated.

He then offered it to Nasiah. "This is yours to bear; wave it proudly."

The boy raised it into the sky with a wonder in his eyes. To parade this around would definitely strike fear into the hearts of many.

Forcas grinned and poked Nasiah's cheeks. "Heh? You ready little man? Well all you have to do is just wave this around and ride pretty."

Nasiah gave her a little nod. "Of course! I'll make sure to wave it with all I got!"

The she-wolf laughed. "Haha, that's the spirit~ alright then. I'll be by your side then."

While they were talking, Forenus turned to Musa. "Any signs you could see in the future."

"I saw a great number of the men of House Yuseff leave the region of Nahar, returning to their land."

Forenus smiled. That was a good sign; he would have finally driven them off and secured Nahar to prepare for their counter-offensive.

"Did you see what we needed to do to ensure this would happen?" Any steps towards the goal would help immensely.

Musa walked a little further away. "We simply need to do as you planned. This is our path to the goal you seek. To head forth and parade the remnants of our enemies."

Forenus gave a slight chuckle. "That's good; we're on the right track."

He turned to face Nasiah. "Now come, let us commence our glorious campaign."

With that, he waved his hand as one of the soldiers procured several horses by their sides. "We have to be as quick and as loud as possible. These horses have been specially bred and trained for speed."

He gestured to a black stallion in front of Nasiah. The little boy looked at it with wonder in his sparkling eyes. He noticed that there were multiple threads surrounding and coming from their body with Names such as "Momentum", and "Acceleration."

They were exceptionally fast, made to travel and bring supplies across the vast world after all. However, they consume vast amounts of energy due to that. It was highly encouraged only to use them for one way trips.

Luckily, Forenus managed to procure enough food and drink for the horses. This was not for speed alone, but a show of strength, that they had enough for something as flashy as this.

Forcas hugged Nasiah by the stomach and placed him on the horse. She wanted to be on it with him, but it was best that they were on separate horses.

She would get her time with him sooner or later. It was only inevitable, after all. Forcas then got on top of a gray horse.

Musa himself got on a tan horse while Forenus disguised himself as one of his many soldiers and got on a brown horse just like the rest.

The Marquis then turned to Nasiah. "I shall tell you where to go, but you must act as if you're leading us."

Nasiah nodded. "I will not act here. I am the one leading you all."

He raised the flag up into the sky, reining his horse in. It did not take long for him at all to adapt to controlling a horse. As he was a born leader, he could obviously handle horseback riding.

With his new skills in hand. He raised his banner high up into the air with a smile on his masked face and a sparkling glimmer in his eyes.

"Warriors! Let us march!"

Then, without a moment of hesitation, the rest of his men cheered, and they all rushed forward to their journey.
