Soul Land:The Dragon King's God of Nature

Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Soul Bone Skills and the Taiyi Treasure Jade!

Under Leng Yaozhu's guidance and assistance, Jing Shaoyu began the fusion process with the Nightmare Demon Eye Beast's left arm bone.

Fusing a soul bone is a highly risky endeavor. The higher the quality of the soul bone, the greater the difficulty and danger involved. This challenge stems from both the soul master's condition and the nature of the soul bone itself.

In the era of Peerless Tang Sect, Xiao Xiao encountered significant danger while fusing a 2,000-year Darkgold Terrorclaw left palm bone. It was only thanks to Huo Yuhao's intervention and his ability to transplant the bone into himself that she was saved. Even Huo Yuhao had to rely on numerous advantages to complete the fusion.

The Nightmare Demon Eye Beast's left arm bone, being a 200,000-year soul bone from a fierce beast, was undoubtedly of the highest quality. Coupled with the Nightmare Demon Eye Beast's extraordinary bloodline and talent, the difficulty of this fusion was immense.

However, for Jing Shaoyu, the process was relatively smooth. Having already absorbed the beast's soul ring, he had inherited its aura and abilities, significantly reducing resistance during the fusion. Although some challenges remained, they were minimal.

After half a day, the fusion was complete.

Jing Shaoyu stood up and flexed his left arm experimentally. He could feel a noticeable difference—his strength and muscle resilience had greatly improved. And this was only the surface-level benefit.

"Not bad. Your soul power has reached the peak of Rank 45," Leng Yaozhu noted approvingly, nodding slightly. "You should spend the next six to nine months consolidating your foundation before advancing further."

"Yes, Teacher, I understand!" Jing Shaoyu agreed wholeheartedly.

Indeed, his soul power had increased too rapidly—nearly seven ranks in under twenty days. Without proper digestion and stabilization, this sudden growth could lead to instability in his soul power, even if it didn't directly harm his foundation. Such matters couldn't be taken lightly.

"You're only thirteen now. Even if you spend half a year consolidating, you'll still only be fourteen. With your talent, you're guaranteed to become a Soul King by fifteen," Leng Yaozhu calculated aloud. "A fifteen-year-old Soul King—while not unprecedented, it would certainly rank among the top three."

Jing Shaoyu's eyes flickered slightly. A fifteen-year-old Soul King? That didn't seem like such an impressive milestone to him.

"Alright, let's talk about the soul skills granted by the soul bone," Leng Yaozhu continued.

"Of course," Jing Shaoyu replied. "The Nightmare Demon Eye Beast's left arm bone grants two soul skills. The first is Nightmare Calamity Moon Break, and the second is Calamity Devour Transformation."

Nightmare Calamity Moon Break is a powerful area-of-effect attack. It unleashes a black crescent moon that blankets the targeted area in destructive force. Calamity Devour Transformation, on the other hand, is a self-enhancement skill. It summons a fragment of the legendary beast Qiongqi's soul to merge with the user, boosting strength and speed by 500%.

The combination of these two skills significantly elevates the value of the soul bone. An amplification skill paired with an area-of-effect attack makes it highly versatile and practical—a true gem in the realm of soul bones.

"These skills are quite intriguing," Leng Yaozhu remarked with a light laugh. "One's a mass-destruction ability, and the other's a self-enhancement skill. This soul bone is exceptionally aggressive."

"Yes, it's excellent," Jing Shaoyu agreed.

"Now that everything's settled, it's time for us to return," Leng Yaozhu declared.

As the two prepared to leave the desert oasis, Jing Shaoyu took a moment to look around. "This oasis is such a nice place. If I get the chance, I'd love to come here for a vacation."

"You sure know how to enjoy life," Leng Yaozhu teased with a chuckle. "At your age, thinking about vacations and leisure time? When you reach my level, you'll find that every day feels idle, and you won't be thinking about vacations anymore."

"Haha," Jing Shaoyu laughed. "Teacher, I was just thinking aloud. Once I become a Limit Douluo, maybe I won't even find this oasis impressive anymore."

The two chatted idly as they prepared to leave, but suddenly Jing Shaoyu froze in his tracks. A moment later, Anya emerged from within him, calling out, "My Lord, please wait!"

"What now?" Leng Yaozhu frowned slightly, her voice tinged with impatience.

"Yes, what is it now?" Jing Shaoyu echoed, his tone similarly exasperated as he looked at Anya.

"My Lord, please wait for me. I'll be back shortly." Without further explanation, Anya turned and dashed toward the lake in the center of the oasis. To their surprise, she leaped directly into the water.

Both Jing Shaoyu and Leng Yaozhu were left dumbfounded by her actions.

"Shaoyu, it seems you'll need to spend more time training this unicorn," Leng Yaozhu said dryly. "Acting on her own like this is a bit too unruly."

"Yes, Teacher," Jing Shaoyu replied with a stern expression. He was growing increasingly dissatisfied with Anya's behavior. A spirit soul should consult its master before taking action, yet Anya consistently acted on her own. While her initiative might be useful, it also demonstrated a lack of respect for him as her master.

It seemed he had been too lenient recently. Jing Shaoyu's gaze sharpened as he resolved to assert his authority.

Moments later, Anya leaped out of the lake, landing in front of Jing Shaoyu. In her mouth, she held a black-and-white jade pendant. The pendant was circular, about the size of Jing Shaoyu's palm. The moment Jing Shaoyu saw it, a strange sensation washed over him. Both his martial spirits—the Origin Sprite and the End Godslayer Spear—manifested simultaneously.

Anya released the pendant, which floated gently into Jing Shaoyu's hand.

The jade pendant's design captivated Jing Shaoyu. Its surface was evenly divided into black and white in the shape of a Taiji diagram, with a black dot within the white section and a white dot within the black section, resembling two intertwining fish.

As Jing Shaoyu held the pendant, a flood of information surged into his mind. It felt as though he had always known what this was, but had forgotten until now.

This was the Taiyi Treasure Jade, also known as the Polar Sun and Moon Jade. According to the knowledge that surfaced in his mind, this jade was deeply connected to him. It was said to be a vital artifact for balancing yin and yang, fortune and calamity.

In Daoist terms, "Taiyi" represented the primordial state before yin and yang differentiated—a void of infinite potential. Simply put, the treasure jade was essential to Jing Shaoyu's path to godhood.

As Jing Shaoyu traced the smooth, polished surface of the jade, understanding dawned upon him. From the divine unicorn Anya to the Nightmare Demon Eye Beast Perseia Sanctum Nox, and now this Taiyi Treasure Jade, it was clear that everything was orchestrated by the will of nature itself.

A mix of helplessness and urgency filled his heart. The feeling of being manipulated by fate was deeply unsettling. The so-called "will of nature" was likely the planetary consciousness of Douluo Star.

Recalling the theory he had once heard, Jing Shaoyu's thoughts grew heavy. In the current timeline, the plane master of Douluo World was Tang Hao, with the Blue Silver Emperor Ah Yin as the planetary consciousness. The original will of Douluo Star might already be in decline, hanging on by a thread.

It made sense. His existence as the "Child of Nature" was likely the final struggle of Douluo Star's consciousness.

"Shaoyu, what's that jade pendant?" Leng Yaozhu's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. She gave him a light push, her curiosity evident.

"Oh!" Jing Shaoyu quickly collected himself. "This is the Taiyi Treasure Jade, some sort of artifact that seems to resonate well with my martial spirits. In fact, it might even integrate perfectly into my battle armor."

"Is that so?" Leng Yaozhu's eyes flickered with interest. "Speaking of which, you're already a Soul Ancestor. It's time to start considering your battle armor. With your twin martial spirits, the design will need to account for both their traits and abilities."
