SIX PATH SAGE OF THE ROCKS PIRATES

Chapter 21: CHAPTER 21

Kaito gripped his blade tightly, its polished steel glinting menacingly in the sunlight. His aura surged, an overwhelming pressure emanating from him much like the legendary Conqueror's Haki of the great pirates. As he raised the blade, the air around him crackled and distorted, reminiscent of the space-warping abilities of the legendary Yoru, wielded by Dracule Mihawk.

With a swift, decisive motion, Kaito swung his blade. The steel tore through the atmosphere with a piercing whistle, a sound akin to a Wind Release: Vacuum Blade technique from the shinobi world. The force of the strike unleashed a devastating wave of sword energy, its sheer momentum carving through the ground, splitting trees, and slicing through the air as if it were paper.

"Boom!!!"

The destructive energy surged forward, a torrent of power that bore resemblance to Zoro's Santoryu attack, 1080 Pound Phoenix. The earth trembled as a deep fissure formed, stretching far beyond the horizon. Trees collapsed in succession, dirt and debris scattered like a storm, and the very fabric of the air seemed to roar under the pressure.

Standing amidst the destruction, Kaito surveyed his handiwork. "The quality of the blade certainly amplifies the swordsmanship," he muttered, his tone measured but laced with ambition. He glanced down at the weapon in his hand. Though formidable, it wasn't a blade of legend like the Supreme Grade swords—Yoru, Murakumogiri, or Shusui.

"If I wielded one of the Supreme Grade swords, the power of this strike would rival the gods themselves," he mused, recalling the lore of the Great Pirate Era. Determination burned in his eyes as he resolved to seek a weapon worthy of his potential.

Meanwhile, Elsewhere

The deafening sound of Kaito's attack echoed across the island, catching the attention of a Marine squad stationed nearby. Among them was Colonel Monkey D. Garp, crouching behind a ridge, his ever-present grin replaced by a curious smirk.

"What in the world was that racket?" Garp asked, casually cracking his knuckles. His imposing figure, famous across the seas, loomed over the Marine scout who had just returned.

"Sir! That was caused by a pirate named Kaito. He's reportedly a member of the infamous Rocks Pirates, with a bounty of 100 million berries," the scout reported, his voice steady despite the pressure of speaking to the legendary Marine.

"A member of the Rocks Pirates, eh?" Garp's grin widened. "Things just got interesting."

"Colonel Garp," another Marine interjected nervously, "Shouldn't we inform Colonel Sengoku and strategize? If he's here, the rest of the Rocks crew might not be far behind."

Garp waved him off dismissively. "Relax. That kid's just swinging his sword around like a young Zoro trying to figure out his style. If he knew we were here, he'd have called his crew already."

"But sir—"

"No 'buts,'" Garp interrupted. "Our mission is to gather intel on the Rocks Pirates. If we can grab this Kaito fellow, we'll have the perfect chance to dig up some dirt."

The Marines exchanged uneasy glances, but none dared argue further. Garp's confidence and strength were legendary—after all, this was the man known for cornering the Pirate King himself.

As Garp stood and began stretching, preparing to confront Kaito, he grinned once more. "Let's see what kind of swordsmanship this kid's got."

Although Sengoku had instructed Garp not to act recklessly when heading to the back mountain, urging him to report anything unusual immediately, Garp—ever the maverick—was not one to blindly follow orders. Sengoku's cautious nature often clashed with Garp's brash and instinct-driven personality.

To Garp, reporting the sighting of Kaito, a member of the Rocks Pirates, was unnecessary. Sengoku would almost certainly order a retreat, but Garp saw no need for such a cautious approach. He had already confirmed that Kaito was alone and hadn't noticed their presence. Besides, Kaito's bounty was only 100 million berries—hardly intimidating to Garp, a Marine who had taken down pirates with bounties exceeding hundreds of millions in the past.

Recalling his past exploits, Garp thought back to his glory days in the Grand Line, where he captured some of the most fearsome pirates with his sheer strength and willpower. He chuckled at the thought of being punished for disobeying orders—such reprimands had been commonplace for him. But his successes had always overshadowed his recklessness. Had it not been for his unorthodox methods, he might have already risen to the rank of Rear Admiral or higher.

Now, with Kaito in his sights, Garp decided to act.

"Colonel Garp, are you sure we shouldn't inform Colonel Sengoku?" one Marine hesitated. "If something goes wrong, we'll all be reprimanded!"

"Yeah, Sengoku said we're supposed to report all findings, especially if they involve members of the Rocks Pirates," another added nervously.

Garp shrugged, a grin spreading across his face. "What's the big deal? A scolding is just words. If we capture Kaito and gather critical information on the Rocks Pirates, Sengoku will forget all about it."

The Marines exchanged uneasy glances. Garp's carefree attitude was as infectious as it was nerve-wracking.

Garp continued, his voice brimming with determination. "If we pull this off, the Marine higher-ups will finally have what they need to dismantle the Rocks Pirates. And you lot? You'll be heroes, promoted faster than you can imagine!"

Though still hesitant, Garp's words sparked a fire among the Marines. They looked at one another, resolve solidifying in their eyes.

"You're right, Colonel Garp!" one Marine shouted. "If we capture Kaito and help take down the Rocks Pirates, it'll be worth any risk!"

"Exactly!" another chimed in. "Even if we put our lives on the line, it's our duty as Marines to protect the future!"

One by one, the Marines rallied behind Garp, their voices rising in unison.

"Let's do this!"

Garp's grin widened. "Now that's the spirit! Let's show Kaito what we're made of!"

With their determination bolstered, Garp and his squad moved forward, embodying the fiery resolve and camaraderie reminiscent of Naruto and his allies. The mission wasn't just about duty—it was about proving themselves and taking a bold step toward dismantling the Rocks Pirates once and for all.
