Shin Megami Tensei: New Domain

( Ena's POV )

When my friends saw me and they recovered from the initial shock they started bombarding me with questions like, Why did I have a demon with me? How did I defeat all those demons? Why did I have a bag full of guns and coffee cans? to answer all those good questions, I had to explain from the beginning, so I told them to sit down, and I started telling my story.

First, I told you about what happened between Aigis and me the first time we met and my theory of the black smoke making me stronger, then I told them how I found the weapons in a patrol car while I was escaping.

Io: And you didn't find any police officers or other people?

Ena: No, I didn't even find the bodies.

Then I talked about my encounter with Pixie and the contract we signed.

Ann: How do you know how to form a contract with a demon?

Ena: I don't know, this app did all that, if it weren't for this, I wouldn't have been able to come back.

Ryuji: Man, that app can do all that, too bad it disappeared from my pho-oh it's back.

While we were talking, Ryuji lamented the fact that he used to have the same app as me, but when he took out his phone and said that it had appeared again, the rest of us surrounded him to check it out and see if it was true.

Ryuji: Sweet, now I can form some contracts too.

Ann: Why are you being so casual about this, that could be dangerous.

Ena: If we cannot rule that out, but if we are going to get out of this situation we need that power.

I gave Ryuji a look, and he stood up after giving me a nod, I knew I could count on him.

Ena: There is so much we don't know, but I assure you I will find a way to get us back home.

I'm not really sure if there's a home to go back to, but there was no point in thinking like that.

Ryuji grabbed a piece of pipe and walked to the edge of the roof with me, he put a hand on my shoulder and I jumped off the roof, Pixie stayed on the roof protecting the girls and when I landed I summoned a kobold to patrol the perimeter, I checked my map and headed to the nearest group of enemies.

Ryuji: Ena, I know you have a plan, but could you tell me what the plan is just to be sure?

Ena: Relax, I have part of a plan, first we need to collect more allies, that will make things simpler.

Ryuji: You plan to look for your mother, right?

Ena: Your family too, but the quickest route will be full of enemies.

Ryuji: Thanks, buddy.

We found a couple of Kobolds, and I passed the gun to Ryuji.

Ena: You have better aim than me, don't you?

Ryuji: That's in video games, dude, I've never used a real gun.

Ena: That has no bullets, that's just for intimidation, follow my lead.

I put the shotgun on my back and whistled to get the demons' attention, they immediately ran towards me, but I dodged their clubs and hit both of them in the snout, then kicked the backs of their legs to bring them to their knees.

With all the enemies I had defeated, I was much stronger than before, so these demons were no problem, I pointed my shotgun at them and gave a signal to Ryuji to do the same.

Ena: Listen carefully, we are currently recruiting and you can accept the offer and become an experience for us.

With my threat, we received the message to form a pact on our phones, and with those two on our side, we went for larger groups of demons, but the first thing we found was a handful of slimes.

They weren't much use as allies, so I used magic to wipe out the entire group, the black smoke that entered my body made me stronger, like an experience in a video game, so I started calling it that.

That experience entered my body but a part of it also went towards Ryuji, and then I saw a black mark similar to mine appear on the right side of his neck.

He immediately felt stronger, and we checked his status on the phone to confirm that, this was something worth discussing, but we left that for later and continued with our intensive recruitment.

There was a limit of six demons, so we together could only recruit ten demons, which were the two Kobolds, three cat-like demons with a hat and a sword named Cait Sith, three ghost-like creatures called poltergeists, and lastly, two small flying creatures that were like a cross between a dragon and a rooster called Aitvaras.

After collecting experience and demons, we returned to school, and on the way, Ryuji was swinging his pipe energetically.

Ryuji: Damn, I feel amazing, do you think I should wear a mask too?

Ena: what for?

Ryuji: you are covering your face and it will serve as an intimidation tactic against other demons.

Ena: I guess that's not a bad idea.

We returned to school without any more problems, but when we jumped on the roof, besides the girls, the red-haired president, Mitsuru, was present.

Ena: Ah President, what an absolute honor, what brings you to our humble secret base?

Mitsuru: Just doing my duty, some students were missing from their classrooms and I had to investigate it.

Ann: You guys could leave your drama for later, Ena listen to this, this demon says he knows a way to return to our world.

Pixie: Call me Pixie, that's one of many paths demons use to enter the human world, I don't know if that will work for you.

Mitsuru: Still, we can't ignore it, I'll inform the teachers.

Ena: No, don't do that.

Mitsuru: Why is that? The safety of the students is the most important thing.

Ena: That's why I say you should keep this a secret.
