Chapter 669: Land Ahead
That day in the ocean also passed in a similar manner as the day before.
During the day, Ariel spent her time with the Royals. They gathered together and had food, talked, fought, and also took a dive in the ocean.
And during the night, Ariel had a conversation with Damien. They both shared their stories, what the other had missed, and tried to catch up with each other's lives.
And the next day, Ariel busied herself with the reading materials that her mother had given to her before she set off on this journey.
She didn't want to embarrass herself or her kingdom so, she was went through the materials again.
She was even having a long conversation with Kenneth. She was trying her best to gather as much information as she could about the economic, demographical, and social aspects of Brenalia as well as Romania through Kenneth.
"Argh! Why are you getting lessons even when we are on vacation?" Zach gave a displeased expression to Ariel for ruining the fun mood and also trapping the others.
Ariel wasn't listening to Kenneth alone but she had also made Ramon and Nylah listen to him. Zach had denied sitting together with them for the boring lesson. But he was getting bored either way because he had no one to accompany him.
So he came to the living room where everyone was currently in to disturb them.
Ariel gestured at Zach to come to her and asked, "Come and sit down. You should also listen to Kenneth. Learning more about the kingdoms where we will be staying as the guests won't do you any harm."
Zach snickered and mumbled, "It will definitely harm my brain. So I'm going to pass."
Ariel rolled her eyes at him and said in a stern voice, "Then go back to your room. Don't disturb us."
"Ahhhh!" Zach drooped his shoulder and asked in a lousy voice, "Come on! Stop it already! It has already been hours since you all have been discussing all those boring things."
Kenneth glanced at Zach and then asked him, "Then what do you want to talk about? Do you have anything specific that you want to hear?"
Zach grinned at Kenneth. He trotted towards the sofa where Ariel was sitting. And after making himself comfortable by Ariel's side, he asked Kenneth, "Don't you have any cousins who are of marriageable age?"
"Marriageable age?" Kenneth knitted his brows together and gave a skeptical laugh.
Ariel frowned at Zach and gave a smack at the back of his head. And she scolded him, "Why do you ask that when you're just fourteen?"
"Tsk!" Zach rubbed the back of his head and gave a side glare to Ariel. "I'm not asking it for me, genius! And you're not the only one who has crossed the marriageable age, remember?" He pointed his brows at the twins and said, "I'm asking it for them."
Ramon instantly showed his fist to Zach and scolded him, "Hey! Mind your own business, Zach! Stay within your boundary or else I will beat you to a pulp in our next duel."
Zach challengingly folded his arms and said, "I was just trying to help you out since you are incapable of looking for a potential bride yourself."
Ramon instantly got up from his seat with an intention of smacking Zach's head. Read exclusive chapters at empire
However, Niylah instantly grabbed Ramon by his wrist. "Ramon! Sit back down."
And when everyone settled back down, Kenneth glanced at the twins and said with a slight smile on his lips, "I actually do have a second cousin who is a year younger than Ramon and Niylah."
"Oh, really?" Ramon gave a side glare to Kenneth and asked in a mocking tone.
Zach enthusiastically turned his head towards Kenneth and then asked, "Is it a he or a she?"
Kenneth looked at Ramon and smiled. "You might like her. Her name is Grace. And like her name, she is quite a graceful one."
"Oooooh!" Ariel and Zach glanced at Ramon and simultaneously teased him.
"Oh, shut up!" Ramon frowned and looked away from them.
Niylah turned to look at her brother and she also teased him, "Don't be shy, Ray. Who knows, you might actually like her? And I might get a sister-in-law?"
"Oooooh!" Ariel and Zach merrily hooted again after hearing Niylah.
"Not you too, Ny!" Ramon glared at his sister.
But Niylah playfully grinned and further added, "I will help you talk with her if you like her. I mean, Ariel and I will help you."
Ariel winked at Ramon and shouted while pointing at Ramon, "Anything for you, brother. All of us will help you out."
They spent the rest of the day teasing Ramon and running around the ship.
And when dusk finally arrived, Kenneth gathered everyone on the deck of the ship to show what lay ahead.
He proudly gazed ahead at his land and informed all the others, "We will step on the land of Brenalia soon. What you are seeing right now is the Gliding Town."
Everyone was gazing at the land ahead with a great sense of relief and happiness. More than seeing the bustling town ahead of them, they were excited by the thought of stepping on land after three days.
When they closed in to the Gliding Town, Ariel scanned her eyes around the ships, houses, and people of that town and said, "It looks so beautiful… and different."
It was giving off a completely different vibe than what she was used to. Precisely saying, the town looked like an old civilization but advanced at the same time.
Kenneth smiled while his eyes were fixated on his dear land. And he confidently said to Ariel, "Once you roam around the towns, the villages, and the castle, you will definitely fall in love with Brenalia."
Ariel looked up at Kenneth. She could tell from the look in his eyes that he loved his motherland greatly. She smiled and softly said, "I am looking forward to it."
