Chapter 182: Wu Tan City

Now, she looks like a little girl, but her actual age is 25 years old, older than El physically.

As a beyonder, El cannot age physically. Semi-immortal Beyonders, will not die from age, even if their soul is damaged and exhausted, they can still live, although it will be weakened.

Even so, as said, Beyonders are semi-immortal. that means, a Beyonder can still die, if killed or intentionally ending his life.

If at their first meeting, Yuri wore a cute Gothic Lolita dress, now Yuri appears in a hanfu.

The hanfu is white with a beautiful ice blue flower pattern, exuding an elegant aura. Apparently, this outfit was her sect's uniform, or at least that's what El thought.

"The point is, let's go to the market in Wu Tan City. We need to buy some items and materials to start the special training," Yuri said as he walked cheerfully towards the exit of the room.

El let out a long sigh, nodded slowly, and followed Yuri, his master, behind.

Under the bright sun, El and Yuri walked down the main market street of Wu Tan City. The atmosphere that afternoon was lively, with noisy voices from various directions calling out to each other.

The market was filled with people who were busy doing their activities, some were just walking leisurely, some were seen shopping with full intention.

The fragrant smell of grilled food at the small stalls filled the air, mixing with the fresh scent of freshly picked fruits.

Along the road, fruit stands on the outskirts of the market are crowded with shoppers. Locals can be seen haggling with the sellers, picking out perfectly ripe, brightly colored fruits that beckon.

Next to them, there were a few people selecting cultivation materials, such as herbs or raw matrials, elixirs sold in small shops.

Not far away, there were sounds of laughter and small talk from people who had just come out of a weapon shop, their hands full of sharp weapons or martial arts tools.

Meanwhile, from the other side of the market, several visitors had just come out of the bookstore, elixir shop, and herbal stall, carrying items that seemed to be related to the art of cultivation or perhaps personal power enhancement.

Not to forget, there are people who have just enjoyed a meal from a local bar or restaurant, with satisfied smiles on their faces.

The hustle and bustle of the market comes alive when the sound of haggling is heard everywhere. Sellers nimbly offer their wares, while buyers try to bargain for the best price possible.

Laughter, shouts of bargaining, and the sound of people talking in unison fill the air, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.

The buildings surrounding the market are made of sturdy stone walls, the roofs are made of roof tiles adorned with distinctive carvings, while the foundations of the buildings use neatly polished wood.

The architectural design is thick with oriental nuances that give the impression that this market has existed since ancient times, resisting the traces of time with its sturdiness.

Each building is side by side, with doors and windows wide open, giving direct access to the shops offering all sorts of goods.

In the crowd, El and Yuri walked slowly, with El occasionally gazing at this colorful market.

Despite the boisterous atmosphere, El looked calm, as usual, with a gaze that scanned the surroundings without getting carried away by the crowd.

Meanwhile, Yuri walked beside him, her eyes twinkling curiously, enjoying the sight of the busy market, while occasionally glancing at El with a faint smile.

"In a market like this, finding indispensable items is very easy!" said Yuri with a cheerful smile, her eyes shining as he looked at the goods displayed in the shops.

"What do you need to buy?" asked El, watching Yuri's every move with curiosity. "From earlier, we were just walking around."

Yuri just smiled, then nimbly pulled El's hand to lead him to the women's clothing store.

The store full of colorful clothes greeted them with the scent of new fabrics.

El could only surrender, feeling as if she was being carried away by the wind, following Yuri who seemed to be enjoying her shopping.

Without giving his a chance to ask questions, Yuri led El to an accessories shop, buying powder, perfume and lip rouge, as well as several herbal shops for plants that were said to improve body health.

El was speechless, just thinking to herself, 'Women's clothing store, accessories, make-up, perfume... Does Master just want to go shopping?'

Finally, without realizing it, all the shopping cost 500,000 gold coins, an amount far greater than what El actually needed for cultivation or even for daily meals.

At that moment, El felt truly shocked as the gold coins stored in the Sky Pearl Poison drained away quickly, buying high-quality items.

All the goods in Wu Tan's town shop were almost bought up by Yuri.

'Money is running out so fast,' he thought, his face getting serious. 'Apparently, I have to find a way to make money. Master bought a lot of very high quality goods.'

El sighed, as if taking in a deep breath of air, trying to dispel the anxiety that had begun to emerge. They continued walking, as if El was accompanying a girl on a shopping trip.

El couldn't ignore the fact that even though her money was being drained so quickly, she couldn't do much about it.

As they walked, El began to mutter in his mind. 'There's no way I can constantly rely on Ya Fei to auction off my invented Dou Qi Technique.'

'Although there are still many Breathing Techniques I have that I haven't adapted and matched with Dou Qi.' El thought as, unaware of the surroundings, Yuri had brought her in the musical instrument shop.

For a moment, a wild thought flashed through El's mind. 'Should I rob bandits instead? There should be plenty of bandits to target in this world.'

They continued to browse the market from end to end with no clear direction. El began to wonder what exactly was on his master's mind.

Before he knew it, the sun was already leaning west, and an orange color covered the sky. The streets were still filled with people who were busy doing their activities, but finally Yuri decided to end the shopping program.

The decision was not only because it was getting dark and all the necessities had been purchased, but also because El's money now only had 500,000 silver coins left in Sky Pearl Poison. All the items that Yuri thought were useful had been neatly stored inside.

El and Yuri started their journey back to their home located outside Wu Tan City. The journey took about 20 minutes.

They passed through a densely populated area for a while before reaching the city gate. After passing through the gate, they followed a path surrounded by trees until they finally arrived at their home.

After opening the gate, El looked up at the dark, unlit house. They quickly entered, with El lighting a torch in the front garden to illuminate the path to the terrace.

Yuri, who had memorized the layout of the house, lit the lantern on the terrace before they entered the house.

Inside, a cold and quiet atmosphere greeted them. El took candles from the small table in the living room, one by one lighting them to illuminate the entire room.

The soft glow of the candles made the house feel warmer, even though they were still tired from the day's activities.

Now, they were both in the room. El sat on the bed in a cross-legged position. Meanwhile, Yuri sat on a chair facing the window.

The window was wide open, revealing a serene night sky, dotted with softly twinkling stars.

The cool night breeze blew gently, shaking the thin curtains on the sides of the window, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
