Reborn in Type-Moon, My Sister is Aoko Aozaki

Chapter 48: Volume 1: Chapter 049 — “Morgan: Now It’s Payback Time”

"...No. I don't."

"Huh?"

Rin aozaki blinked in confusion, finding Morgan's question odd — but still answered honestly, shaking his head.

And that, in turn, left Morgan completely stunned.

"W-What?! That concoction took me ages to brew! How could it have no effect?!"

Judging from Rin's face, he clearly wasn't lying — he hadn't reacted at all. Morgan staggered back, clearly shaken.

Then suddenly, as if a thought occurred to her, she began mumbling to herself.

"Could it be... his constitution? But even that idiot Artoria was knocked out by it. Why him, of all people...? Unless—"

"Morgan, can you wake my sister up now?" Rin took a step forward, cutting off her thoughts. His tone was serious. "I don't want to fight you if I can help it."

That expression — earnest and direct — brought Morgan back to the first time they met, when she'd been pinned to the ground by this same boy. The humiliation still burned.

But she had waited so long for this moment. There was no way she'd give up now.

"Wake her up? Sure... but only if you behave and do exactly as I say."

With part of her plan now ruined, Morgan was forced to improvise. She pulled a dagger from her waist — and lunged straight for Rin's arm.

Instinctively sensing danger, Rin raised his sword to deflect the blade—

But just as his sword was about to meet hers, Morgan suddenly let go of her weapon and threw herself forward — straight into the path of Durandal.

—Shkkt.

There was no time to react — or rather, no reason to expect something like this.

Rin stood frozen, feeling the warmth of blood soaking through his tunic as Durandal pierced her chest.

For a few stunned seconds, he couldn't move. Then, panic rising, he reached out to support the now-limp woman slumping against him.

"M-Miss Morgan! Please hold on! I'll get help — my sister's sheath, Avalon, it can heal you—!"

But Morgan only leaned into him tighter, her breathing shallow, blood trailing from the corner of her lips.

She rested her sorrowful face beside his ear...

And then her lips curled into a sly smile.

"You really are too easy, you little fool~."

—What?

Rin blinked, utterly lost.

Then, out of nowhere, a second figure materialized behind him — a veiled, elegant silhouette.

Another Morgan.

Before Rin could react, she pressed a cloth soaked in magical potion over his mouth and nose from behind.

"Ugh—!"

Rin tried to struggle — but the wounded Morgan in front of him wrapped her arms around him tightly, preventing escape, while her lips chanted a rapid incantation designed to lull him to sleep.

Finally, after nearly thirty seconds of writhing, Rin's movements slowed. His legs dangled in the air for a moment before falling still, his breathing soft and even — his sleeping face resting gently against Morgan's shoulder.

"Whew... good thing I had a backup plan. Didn't think I'd have to use the maximum dosage," muttered the veiled Morgan.

At that moment, the stabbed Morgan in Rin's arms dissolved into shimmering strands of platinum hair — an illusion all along. The real Morgan stepped forward and caught the boy in her arms.

Gazing down at his sleeping face, then back at Artoria, still unconscious at her desk, Morgan's lips curled into a sweet — and slightly wicked — smile.

"Now... it's payback time~"

With a small, disdainful push, she shoved Artoria's head off the edge of the desk.

Then, with a casual sweep of her arm, she brushed all the official documents from the surface, clearing the desk entirely. She then gently laid the boy on top.

Raising one delicate, pale finger to her lips, Morgan's smile deepened. She tilted Rin's chin up as if admiring a work of art.

Her gaze slowly moved from his fair cheeks, to his neck, his collarbone... finally settling on the topmost button of his shirt.

"Don't worry... big sister will be gentle."

She slowly undid the first button. Even Morgan herself didn't notice — her breathing had grown shallow, and her emotions were running high.

But as her hand reached toward the second button, her eyes caught sight of his face.

Peaceful. Innocent. His long lashes fluttered gently with each breath. His lips — soft, slightly pursed — carried the faintest of smiles.

Her hand froze.

And in that moment, Morgan recalled how worried Rin had looked when he thought he'd stabbed her — how frantic, how sincere.

To be honest... she couldn't remember the last time someone had worried about her like that.

Still... this was the moment she had prepared two full years for.

Her expression twisted — torn between emotions. Her brow furrowed. Her pale lips pressed tightly together until they whitened.

After a long moment, she finally stepped back — as if angry with herself for hesitating.

With a sharp sigh, she clenched her teeth and glared at the sleeping Artoria.

"Why is it always you who gets the lucky breaks?! Why couldn't I have met him first?!"

As if venting her frustrations, she pulled out a pair of scissors, and without hesitation, snipped off a corner of Artoria's distinctive ahoge (that signature strand of hair sticking up from her head).

Next, she drew a dagger, rather roughly slashed Artoria's palm, and collected some of her blood into a magic vial.

She repeated the process on Rin — collecting a strand of hair and some blood — though her actions this time were noticeably gentler.

Scoffing, Morgan tucked the vials away. She turned to leave.

But after a few steps, she suddenly stopped... then turned back.

"Hmph. Since I'm already here, I may as well take a bit more..."

Muttering under her breath, she picked up Rin's unconscious body once more.

But just as she reached the door again, another idea struck her.

"No, this is still too kind to her..."

A gleam of mischief lit up her sapphire-blue eyes.

Moments later, Morgan placed a recording crystal on the corner of the desk.

She adjusted the angle carefully — then sat gracefully on the floor, cradling Rin's head in her chest.

Undoing a few more buttons from his shirt, she slid off the shoulders of her black magic gown, revealing smooth, pale skin.

With the look of a "victorious queen," she gently stroked Rin's cheek and smiled at the crystal — immortalizing the scene.

Only then did she finally feel satisfied.

"Hehehe... I hope you enjoy this little gift, Artoria..."

With a final smirk, Morgan vanished from the office, carrying Rin in her arms.

Leaving behind: a sleeping King, a desk in disarray, and a single crystal sphere glowing faintly in the moonlight.
