Chapter 8: EPISODE 8: GRAVITY WRATH
The eerie silence was deafening. The gunshots had stopped, but the memories of the bloodbath lingered. I couldn't shake off the feeling that this was no friendly game, but a twisted nightmare with no end in sight.
My mind flashed back to Section 1, where a single misstep had led to a gruesome explosion, claiming the lives of several players. It dawned on me that each section came with its own unique consequences, and death lurked around every corner.
The gunshots in Section 2 still echoed in my mind. Another bloodbath, another group of players eliminated. We had narrowly escaped, but the relief was short-lived. The pain of leaving others behind lingered, a constant reminder of the brutal game we were trapped in.
As I looked up, the door slid open, revealing a sign that made my heart sink: "SECTION 3: EVACUATION". What new horrors awaited us in this next stage?
EPISODE 8: GRAVITY WRATH
*
Whisky's group hadn't faced any casualties. Mike and Fay were still hanging in the game. For a time Sarah felt a huge relief that everyone was okay.
Kacey and Crystal and another girl having lost one boy. While Linda and Travis were the only two left out of the four. There was another group with red emblems which were the Rubies, they were four without any casualties. And last but not least the Rosas with pink emblem they were three left.
Other groups had been wide off completely.
The door had slid open a few seconds ago students still standing not going. They were meditating what had happened back there and what challenge was next.
"Get in you kids," a soldier ordered, they were forced to get in before behind them the door slid as it closed.
And the timer on the wall hit 29:59.
This meant the game had started it was now underway in this very small room upahead there was a small passage.
The whole of last survivors entered in the room. The turned back as they the the sound of the door sliding to close slowly
Whisky left shoulder was touched and he turned out to see who was it. It was Kacey
"Whisky,.... We are in this, together." he said with confidence and his tone serious.
Whisky couldn't help but smile and nodded. Crystal was already next to Sarah with Linda. With other one girl members of Kacey, joined the group with other one boy members from Linda and Travis joined the group too. The group was now huge, sharing ideas with them.
Just ten metres away there was a door in the middle.
There were other two groups which went right Whisky's now the giant group. The walked right away with no intentions of joining other groups. They knew forming alliances would increase their chances of surviving on the other hand it would increase chances of betrayal.
The went to the door and they were standing.
Whisky started walking
"Wait, Whisky," Sarah called out
He had finally reached at door two groups were at.
There was a red big button on the wall aside the steel which read, 'Push to Open,' in bold white.
Whisky saw a boy who had his finger engaged trying to push the button
"Wait my friend." Whisky said, "Can you please think rationally before pushing that button."
The boy's finger stood in mid air,The two groups Rubies(the red) and Rosas( the pinks) they turned to see who was it. Well it was that kid from earlier who was doing the standup comedy at Musical Chairs.
Sarah, Fay, and Crystal and others had followed closely behind, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.
"What does that supposed to mean," the boy said. He had white hair then a scar across his eyebrow.
"Im saying, what if you are releasing danger in there," Whisky replied his voice cool.
"Yeah, you are right but time is ticking,"
Whisky looked up and it was '21:17'
"You see my guy, maybe there is freedom behind this door." Then the boy pressed the button in a instant.
"Waait!!," Whisky shouted.
Immediately the door opened up by itself.
"See, nothing deadly as you thought
Whisky walked to the door to snatch a pick, tit was a room bigger than there were in rightnow, it was empty like that one but what caught Whisky eye was it had....
"What is this place?" Sarah whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
"I don't know," Whisky replied, "but I think we should check it out."
Before Whisky can process everything in his head he was sucked indide with the Rosas and Rubies who were happened to be nearby. Travis was sucked too along with Crystal.
They found themselves in a large, cylindrical room. The walls, floor, and ceiling were made of a sleek, metallic material that seemed to blend together seamlessly.
But it was what happened next that made their blood run cold. The room began to spin, and the gravitational forces shifted. The group stumbled and fell, their flashlights flying out of their hands.
Whisky scrambled to get back to her feet, but it was no use. The gravitational waves were too intense, and she was tossed around the room like a rag doll.
"Guys, we need to find a way out of here!" Mike yelled, his voice strained from the effort of trying to stand.
Kacey, ever the quick thinker, spotted a small panel with a button on the wall. "I think I see a way to stop this thing!" she shouted.
Travis, with his athletic build, managed to stumble towards the panel. He pressed the button, and the room stopped spinning. The gravitational forces returned to normal, and the group collapsed to the floor, exhausted.
As they caught their breath, Fay spoke up, "What was this place? Some kind of test chamber?"
Crystal nodded, "I think you're right. But what kind of sick person would design something like this?"
Whisky's eyes narrowed, "We'll find out soon enough. Let's keep moving."
The group slowly got back to their feet, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead
Whisky had suffered a few blows with Travis and Crystal just fine. Others students couldn't get up having been affected their ribs, spines and others were still in it. They had leave their loved ones behind.
Whisky struggled to get on the ground ashim, "Argg."
He saw that the room was filled with fear others were crying a few had die, having being affected the ribs, spine for Whisky it was his heard it was heavy as he raised his hand to touch it, he scanned looking for someone and he had found it, the boy who had pressed the button. He was kneeling to the ground crying to his fellow comrade a girl dead body lied in front of the boy. Tears were active in him. Both having the same red emblems.
Here's a possible description:
As the reality of the situation crashed down on him, he felt his legs turn to lead, his vision blurring at the edges. A cold sweat broke out across his forehead, trickling down his spine like icy fingers. His heart, racing only moments before, now faltered, skipping beats as his body succumbed to the weight of his emotions.
A wave of dizziness washed over him, threatening to pull him under. He stumbled, his knees buckling as the room spun around him. The air seemed to thicken, becoming heavy and unbreathable. His lungs burned, his chest constricting.
The world constricted to a single point, then burst apart in a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds. Whisky's vision blurred as he gazed at the boy, his voice barely above a whisper: "Youuu..." He felt weightless, suspended in mid-air, before the floor surged up to meet him, and everything went black.
