Lysandre and Daisy came over, and after confirmation from both the human and Pokémon, they verified that Cole wasn't seeing things—there really was a barely noticeable pink glow in Carbink's pupils.

Cole excitedly said, "Looks like my efforts these past two years haven't been in vain. Carbink might really have a chance to evolve into Diancie!"

Lysandre, who knew about Cole's agreement to raise Carbink into Diancie, offered his congratulations.

"Congratulations! You've taken another step toward your goal."

"It's still just a small step. We're still far from true success!"

With the anklets on, it felt its body become heavy, losing its previous agility. To adapt to this new feeling, it hopped around the VIP room.

At the same time, Cole removed the packaging from the Ability Patch and stuck it on Heliolisk's forehead, which would take some time to take effect.

"Heliolisk, be careful these next few days. Don't rub off the patch on your forehead—it cost several million!"

Meanwhile, Cole secretly sighed with relief: Luckily I got away with it!

"Pretty, right? Here, let me put it on you." As he spoke, he placed the Mystic Water necklace around Brionne's neck.

The blue water droplet gem complemented its blue skin beautifully.

After putting on the Mystic Water necklace, Brionne quickly ran to the mirror to admire itself from all angles, being incredibly vain.

"Yes, yes!" James said as he squeezed through the door gap.

"James!" Kiara wanted to tell him to be more polite, but he was already playing happily with Chikorita, Larvitar, and Pidove.

At this moment, Lysandre walked over, greeted the two girls, and then excused himself to leave. He told Cole to return to the villa area after hanging out with them.

After Lysandre left, Cole invited Sara and Kiara into the suite. The three chatted for a while and then decided to go somewhere else to have fun.

By now, James had completely bonded with the Pokémon, especially Chikorita.

Just as Cole and the others were about to leave, Chikorita suddenly began shaking its head frantically. With a "crack," the leaf on its head fell off…

He said this with childlike innocence.

As he spoke, James carefully folded the large leaf twice, then solemnly took out a silk handkerchief to wrap it in, and finally placed it carefully into his pocket.

Seeing this, Sara giggled, "Your Chikorita still loves giving gifts to others."

Cole shook his head helplessly.

Afterward, he went out with Sara, Kiara, and James for a while. The whole time, James held onto Chikorita, refusing to let go, and it was equally affectionate with him, making Cole almost jealous.
