One Piece: Take the Uchiha Clan to the Grand Line

Chapter 202: Jinbe Joins the Uchiha Company

-----

It was after much deliberation that Jinbe decided to invite Uchiha Kitaro to Fishman Island.

Could he really be the one?

Perhaps he could. To be honest, Uchiha Kitaro himself harbored such ambitions.

It was similar to the Shinobi World—why was it always plagued with conflict? Since the emergence of ninja clans thousands of years ago, the world had never truly known peace.

Even now, the Five Great Nations were at odds, each striving to eliminate the others.

Was it hatred?

That played a role, but it wasn't the core reason. Every ninja understood that differing nations meant differing perspectives. Survival depended on one's skill, and death was simply a matter of fate.

The real driving force behind the conflicts of the Five Great Nations was Greed.

Uchiha Kitaro had his own ambitions—bold and lofty ones. He wanted to unite the entire world, just as he wanted to unite the Shinobi World.

After all, if you have the power, why not aim to conquer the world?

But, of course, sometimes one had to play the part of the reluctant hero.

"You have the strength! The influence! Even Whitebeard himself held you in high regard," Jinbe said earnestly.

"Ah, you're making me blush with all this flattery," Kitaro replied, scratching his head.

Jinbe continued, "Lord Kitaro, we've tried to keep this secret, but there were too many witnesses back then. The rumors about Poseidon—the Sea King—have spread far and wide."

"If certain factions learn of this, it could spell disaster. Powerful forces worldwide, from the government to pirates, will covet Princess Shirahoshi's abilities."

"We, the Ryugu Kingdom, don't have the power to protect her. Rather than letting her fall into the wrong hands, I'd prefer to entrust her to you, Lord Kitaro. At least I can tell you truly care for her and not just her power."

Kitaro hesitated internally. Was it true that he didn't covet Shirahoshi's power? He wasn't so sure. He had a deep appreciation for power, constantly seeking out techniques to enhance himself.

However, his pursuit was always directed inward. External power like Shirahoshi's held less appeal.

Suddenly, Jinbe knelt before Kitaro, bowing so low that his forehead touched the ground.

"Lord Kitaro, if you'll have me, I wish to join the Uchiha Security Company. From now on, your friends will be my friends, your enemies will be my enemies. I pledge to be both your shield and your spear!"

When Whitebeard's crew joined the Uchiha Security Company, Jinbe had been present but hesitant to follow suit. His priority was Fishman Island, and he wasn't sure what kind of organization the company truly was.

But after a year of observation, he now understood.

The Uchiha Security Company was unlike any other. Its strict discipline and moral values set it apart. Even former pirates like Marco and his comrades were no longer feared outlaws but celebrated heroes across numerous nations.

Kitaro pricked his finger, letting a single drop of blood fall into a sake cup.

The Empress understood his intention and handed the cup to Jinbe.

Looking serious, Kitaro said, "Before you drink, know this: once you take that sip, there's no turning back. From this moment on, you'll bear the mark of the Uchiha Security Company for life."

"Alive, you'll be one of us. Dead, you'll be one of our honored fallen."

Without hesitation, Jinbe took the cup and downed it.

"Ugh…" Jinbe's face contorted in pain.

"Jinbe-san! What's happening to him, Kitaro-sama?!" Shirahoshi cried out in alarm.

"Relax," Kitaro reassured. "It's just an enhancement process. He'll be fine shortly."

True to his word, Jinbe's strained expression soon softened.

Jinbe clenched his fists. "This power…"

He felt an overwhelming surge of strength coursing through him. His physical abilities had multiplied several times over, and he felt unstoppable.

"This is the basic benefit of joining the Uchiha Security Company. Now, look into my eyes," Kitaro commanded.

When Jinbe looked up, Kitaro activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. In an instant, Jinbe fell into a genjutsu.

To the others, only a few breaths passed before Jinbe returned to normal. His eyes, however, were filled with awe.

"That was the Water Breathing Technique," Kitaro explained. "Practice it diligently. Once your breathing aligns completely with the water element, your strength will soar to new heights."

"From today onward, you are the captain of the Sixth Division of the Uchiha Security Company."

"Yes, President!" Jinbe declared, his eyes burning with resolve.

Turning to Neptune, Kitaro added, "I'll take Princess Shirahoshi with me. I won't let anyone harm her. Also, I can fulfill Queen Otohime's dream."

"What?!"

"Really, Kitaro-sama?!" Shirahoshi's eyes sparkled with hope. Neptune, the princes, and even Jinbe were equally stunned.

Kitaro smiled. "Of course. In fact, half a year ago, I began construction on a continent for the Uchiha Security Company—a future Uchiha Empire."

"Wait… What?!"

"Construction started six months ago," Kitaro explained. "It includes a main island and ten large subsidiary islands, thirty-six medium islands, and 108 smaller islands."

"The main island spans 100,000 square kilometers, the large ones 30,000 each, the medium islands 10,000, and the small ones 3,000 each. In total, the landmass will exceed 108,000 square kilometers."

"That's… enormous!"

Everyone was stunned. Even the Empress and Shisui had been unaware of this massive undertaking.

"Kitaro, how could you keep something this huge a secret?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise," he replied with a grin.

Jinbe suddenly remembered something. "Wait… Does this have anything to do with the Red Line that was mysteriously breached half a year ago between the North and East Blue?"
