One Piece : Kaido Brother

Chapter 65: Chapter 65

Wholecake Island, Cake Tower.

A little girl dressed in adult clothes sneaked around the various rooms inside the towering structure.

This core building of Whole Cake Island currently housed only a select few individuals of high status.

Caesar, Kaido, Linlin, Katakuri, King, Yamato, Queen and the recently elevated Pudding.

Their living quarters were arranged by rank, descending from the top floors.

The highest levels belonged exclusively to Caesar and Linlin.

The tower's staff, aside from chefs and maids, consisted mostly of low-level Homies—creatures brought to life by Linlin's soul powers.

Unlike special Homies such as Zeus or Napoleon, these lesser Homies lacked significant intelligence but possessed absolute loyalty.

Whenever she accidentally encountered patrolling Homies and couldn't avoid them, the little girl would deliberately pretend to trip, luring them closer before touching and disassembling them.

This girl was Ain, a student of Zephyr and her ability was the Modo Modo no Mi.

This fruit power allows her to produce an energy orb that makes anyone or anything it touches 12 years younger.

And what were Linlin's Homies 12 years ago? Nothing more than scattered fragments and parts.

Thus, an innate counter was formed.

It had to be said—the way Devil Fruit abilities countered each other was truly fascinating.

With the Modo Modo no Mi help, Ain smoothly scouted the tower from bottom to top, until she reached a small room midway up.

Peering inside, she saw a girl sitting primly by the bed, carefully embroidering a handkerchief.

Perhaps because Ain hadn't concealed her footsteps, the girl inside noticed and looked up at her.

Ain's heart skipped a beat—the girl had three eyes.

Two were normal, while the third sat squarely in the center of her forehead.

Under the gaze of those three eyes, Ain's small frame stiffened slightly, her discomfort obvious.

"Um... I-I'm lost. Could you tell me where the exit is?" Ain deliberately stammered, feigning nervousness.

Inside the room, Pudding frowned slightly.

As a rare Three-Eyed Tribeswoman, her natural third eye granted her the ability to detect lies—and she had never seen this girl before.

Moreover, Cake Tower was a restricted area of Whole Cake Island, something even ordinary residents knew well and warned their children about.

Most importantly, the tower's entrance was guarded by tireless, ever-vigilant Homie soldiers who never took breaks.

'Something's off.' Pudding's expression smoothed into a gentle smile as she walked towards the little girl.

When it came to acting, Pudding was Whole Cake Island's greatest actress.

Combined with her Memo-Memo Fruit, her performances were flawless.

After all, a certain perverted guy had once fallen victim to her masterful acting.

Seeing the strange three-eyed girl's warm smile and graceful movements, Ain felt a sense of ease and returned a faint smile of her own.

As she smiled, Ain subtly raised her right hand.

'What is she planning to do with that hand?' Pudding continued forward, her mind racing.

A girl around ten years old, dressed in oversized clothes and pants, with shoes clearly too big for her feet.

How had she managed to pass through the layers of Homie guards and reach the middle of this tower?

There was something wrong with her right hand!

Pudding noticed instantly, yet she maintained her gentle smile, warm as a spring breeze.

"Lost your way? Don't worry, big sister will help you. Whose child are you? How did you end up here?"

Pudding smiled and reached out, her hand moving towards the little girl head as if to pat her.

The gesture was perfectly natural.

As a woman playing the role of a kind older sister, Pudding executed it flawlessly, without the slightest hint of awkwardness.

Even the motion of her outstretched hand seemed effortless.

Meanwhile, Ain, who had used her Modo-Modo no Mi ability on herself to reduce her age, couldn't speed up her own movements.

She could only smile nervously, pretending to reach for Pudding hand like a slightly timid child.

Two women of similar age, both stunningly beautiful, both harboring ulterior motives—but when it came to acting, Pudding had the upper hand.

As Pudding hand gently touched Ain's head, Ain's body suddenly shuddered.

A buzzing sounds filled her mind, goosebumps rising all over her skin.

This is bad!

Her small hand shot forward to grab Pudding—but then—

Swish!

Pudding right hand made a grasping motion over Ain's forehead and pulled.

A long, glowing ribbon stretched out from Ain's head, like a reel of film, scenes playing continuously across its surface.

Ain's body froze instantly.

Her memories were being extracted, her mind wiped blank.

"Let's see who you really are."

Pudding's smile vanished as if it had never existed, her expression now like a doll with a painted grin.

The film reel showed Ain entering, knocking out two Homie soldiers, then sneaking upstairs, peeking into rooms, dodging patrols, pretending to trip—all while disassembling guards one by one.

Pudding shuddered, exhaling in relief, her eyes narrowing warily at Ain's right hand.

"What a bizarre ability. What's its nature? Disassembly? Hmm? Ah—the Modo-Modo no Mi!"

Pudding continued sifting through Ain's memories.

Ain was laid bare before her, stripped of all secrets.

When Pudding saw Aokiji standing before Ain, declaring his intent to kill Caesar and annihilate the Beast God Pirates, her body trembled and her pupils dilating in shock.

"So it's two former Marine Admirals, seeking revenge for Sengoku, infiltrating Whole Cake Island to ambush Caesar... Father. Thank goodness I found out. Haa... Two Admirals—that's too dangerous. I have to warn Father immediately."

Pudding sprang to her feet, rushing toward the upper floors.

As she passed the unresponsive Ain, she suddenly stopped, staring at her for a long moment.

Then, a chilling smile crept across Pudding face.

"I've got a wonderful idea."

Minutes later, Pudding walked ahead, followed by a cheerful, bouncing little Ain.

"Sister Pudding, Sister Pudding, wait for me! Are we going to see Uncle Kaido? That's great, I haven't seen him in so long! By the way, where's Daddy? I kinda miss him..."

Ain spun her big black eyes mischievously, looking around playfully.

Pudding smiled and said. "Ain, wait for my signal. Then do exactly as I told you - use your Den Den Mushi to call that bad man who tried to deceive you and harm Daddy's safety. Remember, don't slip up."

Pouting her little lips, Ain said unhappily.

"Hmph! Sister Pudding, don't underestimate me. I'm already ten years old this year!"
