One Piece: I Reincarnated as Ace with a system

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

It's been a few years since I awakened the system and went to pick up Sabo. Sabo and I train every day, well, almost every day, and most of the time we just go to Gray Terminal to fight the thugs that live there instead.

Believe me when I tell you the entire Goa Kingdom doesn't know what to do with us people from Edge Town, and gray terminal calls us problem twins. Teen Titans, we cause mischief for everybody, well, we rarely go to High Town.

During those few years, I haven't been messing around; you could say I got a lot stronger, about twice as strong as I was when I first met Sabo. [Open]

I now have six skills, and it wouldn't be too much for me to improve some of these skills, but I'm holding on to those points for a rainy day. The One Piece world is vast, so big that there's no comparison between Earth and the blue planet of One Piece that we all know and love. You can never be too safe.

After having the system for a while, you pick up a thing or two. As far as I know, there are three ways of copying a skill: the first way is to complete a specific task, for example, defeating the person who possesses said skill in battle or in some sort of challenge. The second is to simply use points from the system to target a specific skill, but if you do that, the cost of improvement for that skill will be even steeper than it already is. Talk about a dilemma.

The third is only a theory. I've never actually done it well, at least not yet, but I'm pretty sure you can simply copy a skill from someone by killing them well; well, technically, that would just be like stealing that skill, not copying it.

I never killed anyone in my previous life, and even now in this life as well, I don't plan on doing that for a skill. Still, I do wonder when I'll be able to test that theory, not soon, I hope, taking a life as a child is not something I want to do. I hope I never have to do that in my life, just like in my past life. Still, I doubt it because I'll eventually be a pirate, so not everything goes as you hope.

Now it is around that time that Shanks and his crew dropped anchor at Foosha Village. I've been wondering whether I should go there to meet him. I'm sure if I were to tell him that Roger was my father, he would let me join his crew as an apprentice.

After thinking about it for a while, I changed my mind. I decided to wait it out like the original Ace, and I didn't feel like the time was right to meet Shanks now. Besides, even if I need some time to learn, not being captain of my ship is not my style, and joining Shank's crew would make the world government aware of my existence sooner than I want.

So, as much fun as it would be to join Shanks' crew, I chose not to do that. Besides, I feel like Luffy, being the main character, should have many talents for me to copy. So I decided to stick to my original plan of gathering as many skills and points as I could get and set sail at the age of seventeen, just like the original Ace did.
