Chapter 192: Chapter 193: Rebecca's Choice
[Patreon.com/GodOfReader]With the power of the Shiny White Spider Jozu's String-String Fruit, Jack the Drought was wrapped up tightly, resembling a rice dumpling, and placed before Chiba.
Chiba looked at the stubborn Jack and asked, "Are you convinced now?"
Jack stiffened his neck, squinting at Chiba with a cold glare. "I won't accept it. I just won't. If you dare, kill me."
Jozu snorted in response, saying, "Captain Chiba, this guy is so stubborn. Let me take care of him."
Though terrified by Jozu's words, Jack, as one of the Beasts Pirates' Three Calamities, refused to show any fear, maintaining his defiance. "I don't accept it. I just won't. If you've got the guts, kill me."
Chiba shook his head and said, "Jozu, let him go."
Jozu snorted, "You're lucky today, big guy. Our captain is in a good mood. Get out of here."
As Jozu released his String-String Fruit powers, Jack stretched his limbs, looking at Chiba defiantly. "Just wait. I'll train and come back to take my revenge."
Jozu chuckled, "You? You couldn't even handle my Shiny White Spider. Next time, I'll wrap you up again."
Jack retorted, "I was just caught off guard. Shiny White Spider, right? I remember you, Jozu. Next time, I'll deal with you first, then come for Chiba."
Jozu replied confidently, "Big talk for someone with little strength. We'll see what you can do."
With those words, Jack left, still defiant but wary.
Rebecca approached Chiba, expressing her gratitude. "Master Chiba, thank you. Without you, I couldn't have saved Dressrosa."
Chiba smiled, "Helping you helps me too. I wanted to boost the value of my artificial Devil Fruits."
"Still, thank you, Master Chiba. Now that my revenge is complete, I should return the Sword of the Four Souls to you."
Rebecca offered the sword to Chiba, but he gently pushed it back. "You also contributed to forging the Sword of the Four Souls, alongside the two master blacksmiths. This sword should be yours. Besides, no one else can wield its power like you can."
Rebecca was touched, knowing the sword's power. Yet, he hesitated. "Others must achieve great deeds to earn your rewards. I haven't done anything."
Chiba shook his head, smiling. "You've done plenty. You defeated and beheaded Doflamingo, helping increase the reputation of my Devil Fruit. Thanks to you, someone just offered 500,000 Berries for one of my artificial Devil Fruits."
"So hold onto the Sword of the Four Souls proudly. You've earned it."
Hina chimed in, "Chiba is right. You deserve this sword."
The others echoed, "Rebecca, you're the only one worthy of wielding the Sword of the Four Souls."
"Yes, Rebecca. If you don't take it, we wouldn't dare wield other great swords."
Encouraged by their words, Rebecca accepted the sword again, expressing gratitude. "Thank you, Master Chiba. I will carry the Sword of the Four Souls with honor."
Chiba smiled, "Now that Dressrosa is free, do you wish to stay and become its queen, or join us on the seas?"
Rebecca felt a surge of excitement at Chiba's invitation but glanced at Cyrus, Kyros, and the Tontatta Tribe members.
After a moment's thought, she said, "Dressrosa needs me. I want to restore its former glory and make it a prosperous kingdom. I'm sorry, Master Chiba, but I can't join you."
Chiba nodded understandingly, "No need to apologize. Follow your heart."
Cyrus added, "Rebecca, Dressrosa is in good hands with me. Pursue your dreams."
Rebecca was moved but remained resolute. "Restoring Dressrosa's prosperity is my greatest wish."
Cyrus smiled, "Rebecca, you've truly grown up."
Chiba then turned to Leo of the Tontatta Tribe. "Leo, would you like to join my crew?"
Chiba had a fondness for the Tontatta Tribe, and Hina and Peacock enjoyed their company, often letting them ride on their shoulders.
Chiba extended his invitation to Leo and Princess Mansherry.
Leo looked at Mansherry. "I await the princess's decision."
Hina spoke warmly, "Princess Mansherry, join us. We'll explore every corner of the world and witness its beauty together."
Peacock added, "Princess, my hair can be your home. Join our crew."
"Your hair smells," Mansherry teased. "But I will weave a lovely home from my golden hair. Join us on our adventures."
Hina and Peacock's invitations were warm and sincere, and Mansherry looked at Leo. "Leo, what should we do?"
The decision rested with Leo.
