Chapter 62: The End Of The Sea

Black and red lightning flashed continuously in the void. Huge waves suddenly rose up on the sea as clouds in the high sky quickly gathered, forming a massive black vortex that obscured the sky and sun. A majestic gust of wind swept up amidst the flickering thunder, causing everyone on the Moby Dick to turn pale. The weaker ones couldn't bear the pressure on their souls and spirits and knelt on one knee, gasping for breath.

Marco and the others stared in amazement at Roger, who was surrounded by clusters of black and red lightning. They gritted their teeth as a chill ran down their spines. This overwhelming aura of superiority never ceased to shock them.

"Hey, hey, it's not a good habit to unleash your Haki so recklessly when we first meet!" Whitebeard, from his main seat, remarked with dissatisfaction. As soon as the words fell, his golden eyes widened, and a majestic momentum that could be seen exploded from his burly body.

Crackling black lightning erupted simultaneously, roaring with ferocity. Two powerful, abyss-like auras collided heavily in the void between Roger and Whitebeard. Thousands of black lightning bolts suddenly emerged, and a massive, impacting air column pierced into the clouds above. The sea of clouds continuously disintegrated, condensed, and collapsed, changing the world's colors.

In the horrified eyes of the members of the two pirate groups, it seemed as if the world turned upside down, and all colors faded to black and white. A tremendous tremor, like the earth shaking, emanated from the Moby Dick and the Oro Jackson. A monstrous tsunami, tens of meters high, formed and rose, spreading from the two pirate ships in all directions and sweeping a radius of tens of nautical miles.

At that moment, the two legendary pirates, with their shocking momentum, moved simultaneously. Bang! The instant their supreme sharp knives were unsheathed, Whitebeard and Roger leaped from their spots and swung their weapons. A profound silence descended immediately.

Bunches of black and red lightning compressed into an energy ball between their unparalleled famous knives, and the gust of wind blew off their captain's hats. Roger's and Whitebeard's black and blond hair fluttered. The flickering thunder illuminated their faces, each filled with fighting spirit and hearty laughter.

"Hahahaha, Newgate!! Other than Garp, only you can make my blood boil!!" Roger grinned, an innocent smile of a child meeting a long-awaited toy on his face. "I haven't seen you for so long. When we met, we waved our knives at each other... Is this your greeting, Roger?" Whitebeard's eyes ignited with a burning fighting spirit, and the white captain's cape behind him fluttered in the wind.

Just then—

"Roger, that's enough!! Don't forget about business!!" Rayleigh shouted loudly as he appeared on the deck of the Moby Dick. "Father, our ship will sink if we continue to fight!" Marco shouted anxiously. As they spoke, the energy ball compressed between the two supreme sharp knives finally exploded with a resounding boom!

A dazzling white light suddenly occupied the entire world, making the sky look like daylight. More violent winds and waves blew up, and the sea seemed to surrender to the domineering spirit of the two kings, howling at the bottom of their lungs. I don't know how long it took, but the world eventually returned to calm.

The waves calmed down, and the water became clear and blue. Seeing Roger and Whitebeard slowly putting away their weapons, everyone in the two pirate groups breathed a long sigh of relief, turning a blind eye to the huge cracks that opened in the sky above their heads. Things like the sky being torn apart were something they had long been used to.

"Tch!! It's so boring!" Roger sheathed his knife and muttered angrily but was frightened by Rayleigh's fierce glare and shrank his head. Whitebeard also looked at his son with dissatisfaction but was choked by Marco's words. "We don't have money to repair the pirate ship." He swallowed his words hard. Seeing the unconvinced looks on their faces, Marco and Rayleigh twitched their mouths. 'What a troublesome dad/captain...' This thought came to mind at the same time, and they immediately gave the other party an apologetic smile empathetically.

"Tell me, Roger, why did you come to me this time?" Whitebeard took out a jar of wine. The huge jar was half as tall as a man. After pouring a large bowl for Roger, he sat on the ground and took a sip impatiently. Roger smiled when he saw the wine. He picked up the wine bowl, drank it all in one go, then licked his face and pushed the wine bowl toward Whitebeard.

"Don't worry about that. We haven't seen each other for so long. Let's have a drink first." Looking at Roger's empty bowl and his impatient look, Whitebeard couldn't help but wonder if this guy didn't have money to buy wine and came here just to drink with him. He helplessly filled Roger's glass with wine and then said with a hint of direction, "We don't have much time. Those two guys, Garp and Sengoku, have already led the elite to the New World. It's hard for me to get rid of them."

Whitebeard thinks that he is not afraid of Garp and Sengoku, but he still doesn't want to start a war with Marine's main force unless necessary. On the one hand, because of Marine's strong strength and the support of the World Government, the fight would be endless and meaningless; on the other hand, he did not want to see his "family members" on the ship injured or killed in battle. Even as powerful as he is, once a full-scale war breaks out with Marine, he will not be able to take care of and protect every crew member.

He is not like the thick-lined guy in front of him, who can run freely all over the sea. As one becomes more powerful and has more territories and crews under his command, it is a heavy responsibility and an invisible constraint. "What are you afraid of? In the worst case, I'll have a hearty fight with them..." Roger smiled nonchalantly.

Bang! Rayleigh struck him on the head with a hand knife, and a big smoking bump suddenly appeared. "Let's get down to business!" Rayleigh gritted his teeth. Roger grinned in pain and rubbed the bump on his head, his face gradually becoming serious. "Newgate, you know I have been looking for the end of this sea..."
