Naruto: The Medical Shinobi

A few minutes had already passed, and everyone was still laughing at Ryu's earlier outburst about his secretary. The leader, Kaminari, was rolling on the ground, laughing so hard he was almost crying. Kaminari stopped for a second to catch his breath, wiping a tear from his eye.

"This brat," Kaminari gasped for words within his laughter, "is more of a comedian than a healer!"

Kaminari again took a long, ragged breath and finally calmed down, pushing himself to his feet. He looked at his subordinates, his cruel smile returning, though a hint of annoyance flickered in his eyes.

"Okay, okay," he said, regaining control. "Let's get him now and get this over with." His eyes flickered to Ryu, then to the wounded duo behind him. "But don't hurt the boy too much, if you can. Before that, kill the other two first. They're weak now."

Ryu, ignoring the order and the laughter, started walking slowly toward the enemy ranks, passing his exhausted allies. He then performed a few fake hand seals and then put his hands into his ninja bag and took something out. The leader of the enemy, Kaminari, watched him, curiosity replacing some of his amusement.

"What's that…cards ??" Kaminari exclaimed in surprise when he saw the small deck in Ryu's hand. Indeed, it was a deck of cards. It was an unusual item, unlike anything typically found in a ninja's arsenal.

Ryu shuffled the cards in front of the enemy, creating a subtle rustling sound and causing them to blur in his hands, showcasing his dexterity. As he continued to shuffle, Ryu's eyes locked with Kaminari's, a mischievous glint reflecting in his gaze.

"This kid," one of the enemies said, shaking his head. "is really a joker."

Ryu smiled at the insults, a genuine and relaxed expression that appeared to unsettle the ninjas even more.

Ryu wasn't acting scared or even particularly serious. He was enjoying the moment as if this were his ninja debut.

Ryu thumbed a card through his left hand with practised ease, and it jumped off the deck and into the air. It spun through the air in a perfect arc, a feat typically seen in performances by card dealers, gamblers, or circus performers.

Ryu, without even looking, his eyes still fixed on Kaminari, grabbed the card from the air using his right hand, a seemingly impossible catch. He displayed the card to the enemy leader, holding it delicately between his fingertips.

"Would you like to see a magic trick?" Ryu asked, a playful challenge in his voice.

Before Kaminari could reply, Ryu smoothly slid the card between his fingers, revealing one more card held between his fingertips. 

With a sharp, powerful flick of his hand, the two cards flew like shuriken, impossibly fast and accurate, whistling through the air towards Kohinata and the secretary who were behind him. Both cards attached themselves to them, sticking to their clothing near their wounds.

The cards then glowed with a soft green aura, visible even from a distance. It was a carbon card embedded with a [Healing Seal] in the front and a [Magnetising Seal] in the back so that he could subtly control the card using the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal] on his body.

Both the cards, now attached to Kohinata and the secretary, started healing them, the green aura a visible sign of the regenerative process.

After Ryu found out that long-chain carbon structures are chakra compatible and can be used to write seals, he thought of using cards as a conduit for fuinjutsu. The experiments indicated that the efficiency was more than a normal fuinjutsu paper, and he need not worry about buying them from the market. And he also found out that he could write fuinjutsu seals using chakra rather than blood or fuinjutsu ink. With chakra writing finally within his grasp, he could also speed-write the fuinjutsu seal on the spot on carbon cards like experienced grandmasters can. The material's advantages made it an ideal choice for fuinjutsu use.

The enemy ninjas, witnesses to the sudden healing aura surrounding Kaori and Kohinata, were surprised by Ryu's cards. 

Kaminari was surprised too; he looked at the duo, now visibly recovering, covered in a green healing aura.

"That must be that healing seal that is the talk of the town," Kaminari thought, recognising the rumoured effect. This was the seal that finally made the other village recognise the danger of the Hamura Clan.

"But how can an academy brat know how to use fuinjutsu this way?" His mind raced. "And what are those cards?"

The enemy leader Kaminari turned to his ninjas and said, "Our orders were to capture the boy, dead or alive." Kaminari paused with his attention fixated on Ryu. Kaminari had already made up his mind. Kaminari commented, "This kid must know something about those seals. If we were successful in capturing him alive, we would be rewarded significantly.

The enemy ninjas nodded, affirming their new mission to capture Ryu alive for significant rewards.

Ryu, seemingly unfazed by their shift in intent, again jumped a card from the deck he held into a perfect arc with effortless skill, catching it from the air. He showed it to Kaminari. "Gentlemen," he said, a smile playing on his lips, "how about we play another card game?"

Ryu then used a quick, practiced sleight of hand, and one card in his hand seemed to multiply, turning into four right before their eyes.

Ryu fanned the cards slightly. "Pick a card," he said, gesturing towards the four cards in his hand. "Any card."

"How about you pick them all?" Ryu said with a grin and challenge, and with a throw of his hand using his full arm, like a knife throw, he sent all four cards towards the enemy.

As the cards flew from Ryu's hand, the world seemed to slow down for Ryu. His [Fast Thinking] ability processed the instant into an extended sequence in slow motion. The four cards flew in multiple directions, yet Ryu could see and process everything simultaneously in slow motion.

Ryu's [Parallel Thinking], coupled with his [Improved Eyesight] and [Peripheral Awareness], allowed him to track each card's trajectory and the movements of every single enemy ninja at the same time, even those on the fringes of his vision. He saw their startled reactions, their split-second decisions to dodge, and their potential escape vectors marked by orange lines in his mental heads-up display, a result of his [Hyperphantasia] ability.

The enemy ninjas, wary of the strange cards, jumped back to avoid them. Ryu smiled and moved his finger subtly and the cards changed their flight path in midair, arcing and curving, and started following the enemy ninjas, refusing to be dodged easily.

The battlefield descended into chaos as everyone scrambled to dodge the relentless cards that Ryu was controlling, which were repeatedly following the enemy ninjas. Despite realising the danger, they found it challenging to evade the persistent cards that kept returning and chasing them.

"This fighting style... using manipulated seals and flying objects... it's wonderful,"  Ryu thought, observing the chaos his controlled cards were causing. "Too bad I cannot use [Chakra Fusion Seals] to the fullest yet. Grandfather forbade it."

Kekkei Genkai are sensitive topics in the ninja world, attracting unwanted attention from strong ninjas seeking power or wanting to suppress threats, so Ryu made the decision to not use other complex variants of [Chakra Fusion Seal].

Ryu was using his other inherent abilities and the Magno-Telekinesis enabled by seals because they didn't scream Kekkei Genkai, unlike other variants of [Chakra Fusion Seal].

Ryu thought, "I think this much is enough for them for now. One day, I will be powerful enough to wield that power without any worry."

Everyone was surprised that flying cards were following the enemy ninjas, guided by an unseen force. Even Ryu's allies in the back, Kaori and Kohinata, watched in astonishment as the cards harassed their attackers.

"What the hell?"  they thought, a shared disbelief in their minds.

Kaori watched, a new understanding settling on her as she realised the true extent of Ryu's capabilities and the depth of his preparations.

"Those cards… They must be the result of Boss Ryu's secret projects during the time he gave me off from work," she thought, " the ANBU stationed sensed something very strange during those days. What an unusual and wonderful weapon."

Kaminari also watched his men scramble, dodging the relentless cards. "How can he make these cards fly and control them like this?" His mind searched for explanations. "Wind jutsu? But there's no wind... Those hand seals earlier – were those hand seals a wind jutsu...? But It doesn't make sense; any outside chakra should have interfered and disabled the fuinjutsu seal..." 

Nothing was making sense for Kaminari.

Kohinata looked down at the carbon card currently attached to his chest, a faint green aura still emanating from it as his wounds were healing.

"I haven't seen anything like this," Kohinata thought. "What is it?"

Kohinata's earlier exhaustion and pain were being replaced by a profound sense of surprise and admiration.
