Chapter 53: Chapter 53: The Yellow Flash Unleashed!

Chapter 53: The Yellow Flash Unleashed!

The forest battlefield had become a symphony of desperation and death. Team 15 fought with everything they had, but the crushing weight of their opponents' superior levels was slowly grinding them down. Blood stained the forest floor beneath their feet, and their ragged breathing echoed through the trees like a countdown to their doom.

Minato's jaw clenched as he parried another strike from the level 30 jōnin, his enhanced hearing picking up every grunt of pain, every desperate cry from his students. Kōzaru's ribs were cracked as he fought hard with his ninken. Tatsuma was down to his last reserves of chakra, having used multiple shadow clones in his battle to the death, and Aotaka's lightning-enhanced blade flickered weakly as exhaustion took its toll, having been locked in a ferrous dance of blades.

"Your precious students are dying," the enemy jōnin said with cold satisfaction, his blade work forcing Minato to give ground. "The famous Yellow Flash, helpless to save his own team. How does it feel to watch them suffer?"

A kunai whistled past Minato's ear, followed by Kōzaru's agonized scream as another bone-crushing blow connected with his already damaged ribs. The sound hit Minato like a physical blow, and something cold and deadly settled in his chest.

"Sensei!" Tatsuma's voice cracked as two more Stone ninja closed in on his position, their weapons gleaming with murderous intent.

The jōnin's lips curved into a cruel smile. "Perhaps if you surrender now, I'll make their deaths quick."

"No."

The single word cut through the air like a blade, carrying such finality that even the jōnin faltered mid-sentence. Minato's blue eyes had gone ice-cold, and when he spoke again, his voice carried the promise of absolute annihilation.

"I've been holding back because I hoped to take some of you alive for interrogation." His hands moved to his weapon pouch with fluid precision, withdrawing a collection of distinctive three-pronged kunai. "But you've made a critical error."

The jōnin's eyes narrowed as he studied the unusual weapons. "What kind of trick is this—"

"You threatened my students."

Without another word, Minato launched into motion. The three-pronged kunai left his hands in a blur of steel and deadly intent, each one following a carefully calculated trajectory that would place them at strategic points throughout the battlefield. One kunai embedded itself in a tree near Kōzaru's desperate struggle. Another struck the ground beside Tatsuma's position. A third punched deep into the earth where Aotaka was barely holding his own.

The remaining kunai spread out in a deadly constellation around the entire combat zone, each one marked with seals that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy.

"Throwing weapons?" The jōnin scoffed, though there was uncertainty in his voice. "What's next, are you going to juggle for our entertainment?"

"Flying Thunder God Technique," Minato said quietly, his words carrying the weight of a death sentence.

One of the kunai came directly at the jōnin, its three-pronged design spinning through the air with lethal precision. The enemy leader moved with fluid grace, tilting his head just enough to let the weapon pass harmlessly by. The kunai struck the tree behind him with a solid thunk, embedding itself in the bark.

"Pathetic," the jōnin said, though his voice lacked its earlier confidence. "The legendary Yellow Flash, reduced to—"

However, he never finished the sentence.

In a flash of golden light that lasted less than a heartbeat, Minato vanished from his position. The jōnin's eyes widened in shock and dawning horror as he tried to make sense of what had just happened.

FLASH

Minato materialized beside the kunai embedded near Kōzaru's position, his movement so swift that reality seemed to bend around him. The young Inuzuka was locked in desperate combat with his opponent, the enemy's fist rushing toward his face with bone-crushing force. Time seemed frozen as Kōzaru's enhanced reflexes screamed that he couldn't dodge in time.

The Stone ninja never even saw death coming.

Minato's kunai found the gap between the enemy's ribs with surgical precision, the blade sliding through flesh and vital organs like butter as it found his heart. The chunin's eyes widened in shock before the light faded from them entirely, his body crumpling to the forest floor like a discarded puppet.

"Sensei... how did you..." Kōzaru whispered, his senses still trying to process what had just happened. His eyes were wide with amazement and something approaching reverence. "You moved faster than I could even smell!"

But Minato was already gone.

FLASH

Golden light exploded near Tatsuma's position as Minato appeared beside another marked kunai. Two Stone ninja had been closing in on the exhausted young shinobi, their weapons raised for the killing blow. They spun toward the new threat, their enhanced reflexes allowing them to detect the impossibly fast movement.

It didn't matter.

Minato's first kunai opened one ninja's throat before the man could even begin to form a defensive jutsu. The second enemy managed to raise his weapon in a desperate parry, but Minato's speed was beyond anything he had ever encountered. A second blade found its mark between the chunin's shoulder blades, and he collapsed without a sound.

"That's impossible," Tatsuma breathed, his mind struggling to process what he was witnessing. "The speed... the precision..."

FLASH

The third burst of golden light came as Aotaka was pressed against a tree, his lightning-enhanced blade barely keeping his opponent's strikes at bay. The level 13 chunin had recognized the weakness in Aotaka's defense and was preparing to exploit it with a devastating thrust toward the young Senju's heart.

However, Minato appeared in the space between attacker and defender, his movement so swift that it seemed to bend the very air around him. The enemy's blade, aimed at Aotaka's chest, instead met Minato's perfectly positioned kunai. The impact sent a shockwave through the chunin's arm, leaving him momentarily stunned and off-balance.

"W-What in the!"

But, that moment was all Minato needed.

A second kunai found its mark in the enemy's chest, punching through his heart with lethal precision. The chunin's expression froze in shock before he crumpled to the forest floor, his weapon clattering uselessly beside him.

"This is what the stories meant," Aotaka whispered, his lightning-enhanced blade flickering weakly as he stared at his sensei with newfound understanding. "This is why they call him the Yellow Flash. I've never seen anything like it." Aotaka said, almost mesmerized by the elegance of the jutsu.

But the Yellow Flash wasn't finished. The remaining Stone ninja had barely begun to process what was happening when the golden light began to dance through the forest like a deadly spirit. Each flash marked another life ended, another enemy eliminated with nothing left behind but a yellow flash in the dim moonlight.

FLASH

A level 14 chunin spun toward the burst of light, his enhanced reflexes allowing him to track the movement. He raised his weapon in a desperate defense, but Minato appeared behind him, having used the marked kunai as a feint. The blade found the gap in the man's armour, and he collapsed without a sound, dead before he could even react.

FLASH

Two enemies tried to coordinate their defence, positioning themselves back-to-back to cover all angles. It was a sound tactical decision that would have worked against any normal opponent. But Minato wasn't normal. He appeared above them, gravity adding momentum to his descending strike, slashing with not one but two kunai, taking both of them down at once in an instant, not even touching the ground before he vanished again.

FLASH

A level 17 chunin—the strongest of the subordinates—managed to actually track one of Minato's movements, his superior speed allowing him to begin forming hand seals for a desperate jutsu. But even his enhanced reflexes meant nothing against the Flying Thunder God technique. Minato appeared beside him, his kunai finding the enemy's throat before the hand seals could be completed, causing the Stone shinobi's eyes to widen in horror as he realized too late what was about to happen.

FLASH

FLASH

FLASH

The golden light danced through the battlefield like a deadly aurora, each burst marking another life ended. The remaining Stone ninja tried to run, tried to form defensive positions, tried to launch counterattacks, but Minato's speed was absolute. He was everywhere at once, his marked kunai creating a web of death that no one could escape from.

In less than ten seconds, 6 chunin-level opponents had been eliminated with surgical precision. The forest fell silent except for the gentle rustling of leaves and the shocked breathing of Team 15.

The enemy jōnin stood alone now, his confident demeanor shattered by the display of overwhelming skill he had just witnessed. His hands trembled as he struggled to maintain his grip on his weapon, his mind reeling from the impossibility of what had just occurred.

Team 15 stood frozen in stunned silence, their faces pale with shock and awe. They had known their sensei was skilled, their own knowledge and memories of the Yellow Flash from the real world knowing he was amazing. But to have witnessed it first-hand was beyond anything they could have imagined.

"Sensei..." Kōzaru's voice was barely a whisper, his senses still trying to process the afterimages burned into his vision. "You eliminated all of them in... in seconds. How is that even possible?"

"The kunai," Tatsuma said, his mind finally beginning to piece together the technique. "Each one was marked with seals, and you can teleport to any of them instantly. But the speed, the precision... it's like you were fighting multiple battles simultaneously." He said, knowing how the jutsu worked, but not knowing how it worked at the same time.

Aotaka's grip tightened on his blade, his eyes filled with a mixture of admiration and determination. "This is what we're striving for. This is the power of a Kage level shinobi..."

"No," the jōnin whispered, his voice barely audible. "No one can move that fast. No one!"

The terror in his voice was palpable. In all his years of combat, through countless battles and missions, he had never encountered anything like this. The Yellow Flash wasn't just fast—he was beyond the realm of normal human capability.

Minato turned to face him, his youthful features set in an expression of cold determination. At only eighteen years old, he had just demonstrated why entire villages had issued run-on-sight orders for him. The three-pronged kunai in his hand gleamed in the filtered moonlight, and his blue eyes held the absolute certainty of a someone who had cornered his prey.

"You were saying something about my students?" Minato asked, his voice carrying a dangerous edge that made the jōnin's blood run cold.

The jōnin's chakra flared as he prepared for a final, desperate assault. Level 30 power coursed through his body, but even that considerable strength felt inadequate against the legend standing before him. The Flying Thunder God technique had turned the battlefield into Minato's personal domain, and every kunai embedded in the surrounding area was a potential death sentence.

"You think your fancy jutsu makes you invincible?" the jōnin snarled, his fear transforming into desperate rage. "I'll show you what real power looks like!"

Minato's expression didn't change, but his grip on his kunai tightened almost imperceptibly. Around the battlefield, his specially marked weapons caught the moonlight like beacons, each one a reminder of the inescapable net he had woven around his opponent.

"You had your chance to end this honorably," Minato said quietly, his voice carrying the finality of a death sentence. "But you chose to threaten my students instead."

The forest held its breath, waiting for the final flash of yellow light that would end the battle once and for all. Team 15 stood in stunned silence, finally understanding why their sensei was already being whispered about in the same breath as the legendary Sannin.

This was the Yellow Flash of the Leaf. This was why enemies fled at the mere mention of his name.

And this jōnin was about to discover exactly what that meant.
