Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Bloodline Fusion Genjutsu

The three of them spread out across a hundred paces, searching separately. Akaba casually wandered around until he eventually reached a small riverbank.

The Land of Whirlpools was rich in water sources and filled with rivers. Missing-nin from the Mist often used these rivers to escape while operating within this country.

Akaba arrived at the riverside, looking for any traces left behind.

However,

just not far downstream, the bushes rustled with a *sississi* sound.

An animal? Or…?

Doubt flickered in his mind, but he carefully approached anyway, trying not to startle whoever—or whatever—was there.

Drawing closer, Akaba peeked through gaps between the leaves and saw a flash of blue.

A missing-nin's uniform!

Internally alert, he also felt puzzled—who would sneak around like this?

Quietly stepping down from the tree to the ground, Akaba sealed his hands into hand signs and vanished into the earth.

[Earth Release: Decapitation Jutsu!]

As he crept closer, sounds from above became increasingly clear.

Just as Akaba neared the Mist ninja, he heard a strange cry, followed by the sound of someone hurriedly packing things up.

Without waiting for him to act, the jutsu activated immediately.

Boom!

The ground cracked open, and a hand shot out, yanking the rogue ninja downward sharply.

"Ahh!"

In the quiet forest, a bloodcurdling scream shattered the stillness.

"Enemy!"

Orochimaru and Tsunade both instantly recognized the unfamiliar voice and immediately shunshined toward it.

Arriving at the riverbank, they encountered an unusual scene—Lin's shadow clone held a kunai against the Mist rogue's throat while the real Akaba stood aside, clearly disgusted, washing his hands in the river.

"What happened?"

Orochimaru had been faster than Tsunade and arrived first.

Akaba scrubbed his hands hard, then sighed slightly before saying, "It's a long story. Look over there."

Upon hearing that, Orochimaru turned to look at the captured rogue.

On the ground, a puddle of murky white substance gradually soaked into the earth. If they'd arrived even a little later, it might have disappeared completely.

"You—you're Leaf ninjas!"

Red-faced with shame yet trembling under the threat of a blade held at his throat, the rogue stuttered nervously.

"Captured a Mist ninja alive? How did you do that?"

Tsunade's first sight was of the Mist ninja trapped in the Decapitation Technique beneath the earth, which shocked her deeply.

"He was dozing off — Akaba took his chance."

Orochimaru calmly stepped onto the patch of earth and spoke without emotion.

"It's thanks to Jiraiya."

Akaba added, vigorously rinsing his arm with river water.

His hands hadn't actually touched *it,* but just thinking about it made him uneasy. If he weren't on a mission, he'd want a full bath.

What annoyed him most was how rough that stuff was. Yet those primitive fools remained obsessed with it.

Absurd! Ridiculous!

It was an outright insult to drawing skills!

"What do you mean?"

Tsunade looked confused, unable to understand what he meant.

"What, has anyone in your little rebel group spotted a white-haired kid?"

Unwilling to explain such abstract matters to Tsunade, Akaba shifted focus and questioned the captured rogue instead.

"N-no, we're looking for him too."

The rogue stammered.

"Second question: where is the gathering point for your rebel group?"

Akaba asked again.

"I won't tell you! The Leader will kill me if I do!"

The rogue answered fearfully.

"You're in our hands now. If your leader wants to kill you, he'll at least have to ask us first. But if we decide to kill you—"

Orochimaru licked his lips.

This sentence at least indicated that the enemy was part of an organized group, with a leader directing them.

"Don't talk and we'll castrate you."

Akaba threatened emotionlessly.

Castrate?

Terror flashed across the rogue ninja's face. If he really got castrated, it would be worse than death itself. But remembering how terrifying his leader could be, that fleeting hope vanished immediately.

"It seems there's no other way then."

As soon as the words finished, the rogue ninja felt dizzy. He saw a Shadow Clone yank him out of the ground from behind before slashing at him with a blade.

Endless pain!

After screaming, he came to his senses again — only to find Akaba standing before him while he was back underground.

Genjutsu?

"Will you talk or not?"

Akaba's voice echoed in his ear.

"I—"

"It looks like you don't want to talk."

Still confused within, the man didn't even get time to reply when another illusion struck.

It was the same illusion again. But what terrified him was—

Even after breaking free from the genjutsu, his body still ached terribly, as if those tortures had been real.

"What kind of genjutsu is this!?"

Back in Kirigakure, we were specially trained to resist illusions and psychological torture. But such a horrifying technique was something I've never encountered.

"Sakuma clan's Five Senses Manipulation."

Akaba stated calmly. "I'm very young, and my skill isn't perfect yet — I can't completely manifest all five senses. This is the perfect chance to test on you."

"No! No! Kill me, just kill me!"

Upon hearing 'Sakuma,' his pupils shrank in fear, dread flooding his heart.

Young? Lacking experience?

Yeah right!

Only those with ultimate control could truly master genjutsu at this level — this technique clearly resembled [Narakami no Jutsu], yet also contained aspects of sensory manipulation.

Every inheritor of the Sakuma clan's Kekkei Genkai was a nightmare on the battlefield. And in his eyes, Akaba was far scarier than most Sakuma clan members.

"Killing you would be too easy. I calculated it might take at least a hundred cycles through this illusion before any real physical damage occurs. So, will you talk?"

His eyes icy cold, filled with killing intent.

"I'll talk! I'll talk!"

Overcome with terror, his mind shattered, he screamed frantically and spilled everything like a burst dam.

"If you dare deceive me, I promise better control next time — one hundred illusions, maybe even a thousand!"

After saying this, Akaba immediately had his clone strike him with a chop to the neck, knocking him unconscious.

At this moment, he noticed both Orochimaru and Tsunade staring at him in shock.

"What's wrong?"

Now there's a good question.

Orochimaru inwardly grumbled but couldn't quite figure out where to start.

Tsunade took a deep breath and carefully asked, "You really can control it so precisely that only after over a hundred illusions would wounds actually appear?"

"My control does lack precision — it might take hundreds before leaving a wound."

Akaba shook his head.

"If I'm not mistaken, the technique you used was [Narakami no Jutsu]?"

Orochimaru pondered for a while before finally deciding where to start questioning.

[Narakami Technique], combined with Five Senses Manipulation?

"Hmm, it's one of my recent research directions. I've just grasped the basics but not yet fully mastered it."

Mr. Akaba nodded in confirmation. At the same time, he signaled to his Multiple Shadow Clones to take the prisoners back to Uzumaki Village.

In the current situation, live captives were far more valuable than dead enemies.

Orochimaru couldn't help but inhale sharply upon hearing this.

He had specifically asked The Third Hokage about certain aspects of Five Senses Manipulation before, so he knew some of the hidden truths.

The Sakuma clan's Five Senses Manipulation was powerful, but their family awakening rate was very low. Coupled with the complexity of the mental domain, from the First Hokage's time until now, their application of Kekkei Genkai remained quite rudimentary.

Combining ordinary genjutsu with Five Senses Manipulation—no one had achieved that yet. In other words, Mr. Akaba was the first among the Sakuma clan to successfully merge ordinary genjutsu with a Kekkei Genkai.

"This is truly impressive, Mr. Akaba!"

Internally shocked, Orochimaru began contemplating deeper implications—he suspected that Akaba's so-called laziness might have all been just a front. In reality, he might have been continuously researching ninjutsu, genjutsu, and Kekkei Genkai.

Coincidentally, Tsunade also harbored similar suspicions.

Seeing their expressions, Akaba realized both of them seemed to have developed a misunderstanding about him.

Long ago, the ancestors of the Sakuma clan had already tried combining Kekkei Genkai with genjutsu. They discovered that the fusion could only cause pain to the opponent, without being able to transfer injuries sustained within the illusion into reality. Consequently, they abandoned this line of study and instead focused on simplifying the application of Kekkei Genkai.

Therefore, what Akaba used was merely mimicking part of Tsukuyomi's effects using the Sakuma clan's Kekkei Genkai.

Yet seeing their shocked expressions, Akaba decided not to reveal the truth. After all, outsiders could barely access the Sakuma clan's ancient records.
