Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Heavenly Kings

The next day, a messenger could be seen sprinting towards the Fairy Tail guild. His breathing was heavy as he pushed open the large wooden doors and hurried straight to Makarov, who sat at the bar.

"Master Makarov! I have an urgent message for you!" the frog-like creature exclaimed, bowing slightly as he caught his breath. "The Heavenly Kings have summoned your presence, along with Master Rain."

Makarov raised an eyebrow. "The Heavenly Kings, huh? It's rare for them to call upon us." He turned his gaze to Rain, who was seated at a table with Erza and Mirajane. "Rain! Looks like you've got work to do!"

Rain looked up from his drink, his silver eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Guess I'm needed," he said with a smirk as he stood.

"Be careful, Rain," Erza said, her tone laced with concern. "I know how strong you are, but the Heavenly Kings are no ordinary mages."

Mirajane nodded in agreement, her usually gentle demeanor replaced with seriousness.

Rain chuckled softly. "Don't worry, Erza. Unless one of them is secretly a legendary dragon, I'll be fine."

He walked over to Makarov. "How urgent is this?"

"You need to leave immediately," the frog messenger replied.

Rain sighed and rolled his shoulders. "Alright, I'll use my teleportation magic. That should save us some time."

Makarov nodded. In the blink of an eye, Rain activated his magic, and the two vanished from the guild.

The messenger watched them leave before turning to the rest of the guild. "I'll take my leave as well," he said with a polite bow before exiting.

Moments later, Rain and Makarov reappeared in front of the grand Magic Council chambers. The towering marble building loomed above them as they made their way inside.

The three Heavenly Kings awaited them in the main hall. Their presence was imposing: Warrod, the elder with wisdom etched into his face; Wolfheim, the muscular beast of a man; and Cancerion, a pale and elegant mage with crimson eyes and an ominous aura, whose power radiated a dark, unrelenting thirst for control.

"Rain," Wolfheim growled, his voice low and menacing, "we don't care how powerful you think you are. We don't just hand out the title of Heavenly King. If you want to stand among us, you'll have to earn it."

Rain crossed his arms, his expression unreadable. "And how exactly do you expect me to do that?"

"You'll fight us," Warrod said, his tone measured but firm. "All three of us. Here and now."

Rain smirked. "Three against one? Seems a bit unfair... for you."

Wolfheim snarled, his eyes narrowing. "You arrogant brat!"

Warrod raised a hand to calm him. "Let's take this to a proper battlefield. How about a deserted island?"

Rain nodded. "Fine by me."

With a wave of his hand, Rain activated his teleportation magic. The group reappeared on a windswept island surrounded by crashing waves. The ground was barren, with jagged rocks scattered across the landscape.

"This will do nicely," Cancerion said, his voice as cold as ice. "I'll savor every drop of your blood when this is over."

Rain stretched his arms, a cocky grin on his face. "Come at me, then. All three of you, at once."

The Battle Begins

Wolfheim wasted no time. With a deafening roar, he transformed into a massive werewolf, his claws gleaming like blades as he lunged at Rain.

Rain sidestepped the attack effortlessly, his movements calm and deliberate. As Wolfheim's claws tore through the air, Rain raised a single hand and stopped the werewolf mid-strike. The sheer force of Wolfheim's momentum caused the ground beneath Rain's feet to crack, but Rain didn't budge.

"You're strong," Rain said casually, his grip tightening on Wolfheim's wrist. "But you're not the strongest I've faced." With a flick of his arm, he sent Wolfheim crashing into a nearby cliffside.

Cancerion smirked, stepping forward. "Let's see how you handle this."

The ground around Rain began to glow red as Cancerion's blood magic seeped into the earth. Blood tendrils erupted, aiming to ensnare Rain. He dodged them with ease, leaping into the air and summoning his lunar magic.

"Moon Dragon's Wings!" Silver, glowing wings sprouted from his back, propelling him above the battlefield.

Cancerion's eyes gleamed. "You're quick. But not quick enough."

With a burst of speed, Cancerion transformed into his vampiric form. Bat-like wings spread wide, and his claws extended as he intercepted Rain midair. Their clash sent shockwaves rippling across the island.

Rain blocked the attack with one hand, his expression calm. "You're holding back too much," he taunted.

Cancerion grinned, baring his fangs. "So are you." He swiped again, forcing Rain to dodge as Warrod joined the fray.

Massive wooden vines shot up from the ground, wrapping around Rain's legs. He glanced down, unimpressed. "This again?"

With a burst of lunar magic, he shattered the vines.

"Moon Dragon's Claw!" Crescent-shaped blades of energy slashed through Warrod's next attack, forcing the elder mage to retreat.

The Vampiric Assault

Cancerion used the distraction to his advantage. Appearing behind Rain in an instant, he sank his claws into Rain's shoulder, drawing blood.

"Got you," Cancerion whispered, licking the blood from his claws.

Rain smirked. "You really don't understand who you're dealing with, do you?"

His silver aura flared, and Cancerion was blasted backward. Rain turned to face him, his eyes glowing with a pale, ethereal light.

"Moon Dragon's Howl!" A concentrated beam of lunar energy shot toward Cancerion, who barely managed to dodge. The beam carved a deep trench into the island, splitting the ground beneath them.

Wolfheim's Final Stand

Meanwhile, Wolfheim charged again, his werewolf form brimming with fury. This time, he landed a powerful strike, sending Rain skidding backward.

Rain brushed dust off his shoulder. "Not bad. But you're still leagues below me."

"Shut up!" Wolfheim roared, unleashing a flurry of slashes. Rain dodged each one effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise.

Finally, Rain raised his hand. "Moon Dragon's Eclipse Armor." Silver scales enveloped his body, and with a single punch, he sent Wolfheim sprawling.

The Climax

The three Heavenly Kings regrouped, their combined power radiating across the battlefield.

Rain sighed. "If I don't start trying, this will never end."

His aura exploded, the sheer force of his magic causing the island to tremble. The moon above shone brighter as he activated his ultimate technique.

"Moon Dragon's Full Eclipse!"

A massive dragon-shaped aura formed around Rain, its roar shaking the heavens. The Kings launched their strongest attacks, but the lunar dragon consumed everything in its path.

When the light faded, all three were on their knees, battered and exhausted.

"You're a monster," Cancerion muttered, his vampiric form flickering back to normal.

Rain deactivated his magic, the glow fading. "If I'd used even half my power, this fight would've ended in seconds."

With a wave of his hand, he teleported them back to the council chambers. Without another word, Rain turned and vanished, leaving the Heavenly Kings in stunned silence
