Chapter 3: Nothing Worth Mentioning.
"However, before that, I needed to understand this talent bestowed to me by the system first!"
With that thought in mind, Naib immediately shifted his gaze around him, looking for something to appraise, as a thick, green caterpillar, wriggling unceasingly on one of the branches of the tree meters away from him, soon caught his attention.
Noticeably, after focusing on it, Naib immediately noticed that it was in the midst of forming its cocoon.
Its mouth slightly ajar as it keeps spitting out white strands of silk that it molds into translucent shells, clearly readying itself for its inevitable transformation!
However, other than that, the thing that further surprises Naib more is that he could sense a faint energy fluctuating from the small physique of the insect, signifying that it was likely to have already become a beast!
Moreover, a new one on top of that!
"Can this talent show insect-type beast information?"
Without further ado...
Guiding his mental energy into his eyes based on the knowledge he had just gained, Naib's irises suddenly began flickering, slowly being coated by a faint, bizarre aura that couldn't be seen by normal means as the information of the caterpillar soon mysteriously reflected to his eyes.

(The host realm was still weak. It couldn't be seen for now.)
...
"This is simply amazing! Just looking at the beast's overall potential, and I could almost see their future prospects.
"What bloodline bloodline? Checking beast's overall potential is much more reliable than that!"
Unfortunately, although this caterpillar has already become a beast, its overall potential is still far from what the system quest requires. At least half as good as the 25-point potential that the system was looking for.
Sigh...
Shaking his head slightly, Naib then retracted his gaze from the busy insect. Letting it do what it should do, as he continued looking around.
...
"I need to complete the first quest as soon as possible."
With that thought in his mind, wanting to complete the first quest of the system as much as possible, Naib then began his journey within the depths of the forest.
Although traversing this place was extremely dangerous to the current him, Naib can only gamble his luck since he had no choice. Heck, he didn't even know if he was currently at the periphery of this forest or in the depths of it at this moment, he can only pray that the lady luck will grace her with her luck to keep him safe!
"If I could just exit this forest and find a settlement..."
...
Amidst his regret...
Time inevitably passed by; without even noticing it, Naib had already been walking for almost an hour or two.
It could be said that, although this is his first time delving deep within the forest, the knowledge that he gained from his predecessor helps him greatly avoid possible place that could potentially endanger his life or even kill him.
However, unfortunately, despite that, it's unavoidable that a problem would arise.
Gurggle~
As he was walking cautiously, Naib's stomach suddenly released a loud rumbling that echoed within the silent forest, causing his body to tense up instinctively.
His eyes, which were now tainted by faint fear from the sudden sound he created, hurriedly shifted around while silently stepping back, planning to move away from his location as soon as possible.
(Although his speed could be said to be slow, it's actually the right choice so he wouldn't be caught off guard if a beast suddenly lunged toward him, giving him some time to retaliate or evade in return.)
It could be said that, within this silent forest, creating a sound, specifically a loud one, was bound to attract trouble!
In most beasts' ears, sounds often signify the location of prey, making it an easy meal for them!
In addition to the unpredictable means of the beast who had awakened their ability, facing one with his current abilities is bound to be bloody.
Groan~
Sure enough, not even a minute passed by, and a heavy groan gradually sounded tens of meters away from Naib's previous location, followed by a heavy movement that sent tremors to the earth as a boar, with a height reaching 1.5 meters and a weight that almost reached 250 kilograms, could be seen walking at an unhurried speed.
Its hooves, which could be seen glinting with a silver glow, leave a deep mark on its path, while its tusks, perfectly curved like a crescent moon, could be seen releasing a faint white mist, making its appearance appear cold and intimidating at the same time.
Groan!
In an instant, after arriving at the place, the boar immediately halted its movement; its eyes, filled with detachment, scanned the surroundings slowly; while its body was tense, as if ready to attack at any moment.
However, much to its disappointment, after its silver eyes finished looking around, the only thing it could see was the dense, endless vegetation that went beyond its sight.
The prey that created the sound earlier was nowhere to be found!
Snort!

"Fortunately, I climbed the tree on time, or else I would surely have died today.'
Looking below at the agitated boar who clearly hadn't thought that the prey it was looking for was above it, Naib couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief, smiling before starting to manipulate his energy in order to activate the Potential Seeing talent.
Unfortunately, before Naib could guide the energy toward his eyes, an accident suddenly unfolded below him...
Roar!!
