Chapter 12: The New Beginning

These villagers... they needed to be trained. Strengthened.

So I returned to the first village.

I reclaimed the water source and called upon the older villagers to ride the giant spider.

We headed back to the fortress — now our new home.

Water systems were rebuilt.

We began replanting crops.

Grass started to spread again.

Trees slowly returned to life.

I used bone meal to nourish them further.

"...Time to go mining," I muttered.

I dug deep underground.

Summoned the Warden — it quickly sensed the vibrations and found a cave.

Water...

It was a flooded cave.

But unlike my own, this water wasn't infinite.

And yet...

There was something down here.

Something strange.

I dove deeper, following a subtle pull.

Eventually, I stopped at a strange formation.

I started digging into the walls.

"...This place... it's part of The End..."

"An End Portal... I'll need Ender Pearls."

I gazed at the half-formed portal, sitting in its basin of lava.

Then, without hesitation, I built a Nether portal.

It was time to gather what I needed — and reach The End.
