History of Magic was a joint class for Slytherin and Ravenclaw, so shortly after entering the classroom, George spotted Luna with her homemade radish-shaped earrings.

However, perhaps because of Luna's somewhat unconventional behavior and way of speaking, no other students in her year from Ravenclaw were willing to sit with her, including her roommates.

Similarly, George was also sitting alone, owing to his remarks that morning.

Until it was confirmed whether he was truly outstanding or not, no one wanted to sit with him, lest they be dragged into becoming a laughingstock.

As for his three roommates, their faces were still swollen, so it was even more impossible for them to sit next to him.

"Don't worry about what others think. Just be yourself."

Seeing George sitting alone, Luna got up and sat next to him, tucking her wand behind her ear, and spoke in a very steady, comforting voice.

George merely smiled and nodded:

"Thank you."

Although he didn't need comfort, Luna's actions were worthy of his gratitude.

Speaking of which, although Luna was a year younger than Harry and his friends, in terms of psychological maturity, she was sometimes more mature than some adults.

She had her own thoughts and beliefs, and even if others thought she was eccentric, she didn't care.

Facing classmates who often played jokes and pranks, she never got angry, always maintaining a calm demeanor.

Honestly, George felt that at Luna's age, he absolutely couldn't have achieved her level of composure.

The class bell rang, and Professor Binns, the ghost History of Magic teacher, floated through the blackboard, appearing at the lectern.

He was the only ghost teacher at Hogwarts. When he was alive, he was the History of Magic professor at Hogwarts.

One day, he got up to teach a class, accidentally leaving his body in an armchair in front of the common room fireplace, thus becoming a ghost and continuing to teach History of Magic at Hogwarts.

"In the Middle Ages, those without magic greatly feared magic, yet lacked sufficient understanding of it.

Occasionally, they would capture a real witch or wizard. Burning them was utterly useless.

Wizards merely needed to cast a very basic Flame-Freezing Charm, then, while pretending to scream in agony, they would thoroughly enjoy the tingling sensation.

Wendelin the Weird loved the sensation of being burned so much that she intentionally disguised herself in various ways, allowing herself to be caught forty-seven times..."

Without any preamble or self-introduction, Professor Binns, from the moment he stood at the lectern, began lecturing on the history of magic in his distinctive wheezing, droning tone.

It was as if he were casting a hypnotic spell, quickly causing some young wizards to doze off.

After lecturing for half an hour, Professor Binns paused slightly, then, following his rigid teaching rhythm, began to ask a question:

"Can anyone tell me how many times Wendelin the Weird was caught by Muggles in total?"

Although he asked, he didn't expect anyone to actually answer. He knew too well what his class was like.

So this was just a necessary part of the lesson; if no one answered, he would continue lecturing until class ended.

"Forty-seven times, Professor."

However, just as he was about to skip this part and continue, a young wizard raised his hand, stood up, and gave the answer.

"Very good, correct answer."

Professor Binns was somewhat surprised, but didn't think much of it, preparing to continue his lecture.

Very few young wizards could answer his questions. The last time was that Gryffindor student, Grant or was it Granger?

But this was nothing in his millennia of teaching.

"No points given? It seems just answering questions correctly isn't enough."

George subtly raised an eyebrow when Professor Binns didn't award points for his correct answer.

From what he knew, Professor Binns was the only professor who never gave points, not because he was mean, but mainly because his memory was so poor that he couldn't remember to give points.

After becoming a ghost, while he remembered historical knowledge clearly, his other memories deteriorated significantly.

Therefore, merely answering questions correctly wasn't enough to make him give points.

"Professor, I have a question. Since wizards can use various magic to defend against Muggle attacks, why were so many wizards persecuted by Muggles back then?"

"Because at that time, wizards primarily learned magic through family inheritance, and many wizards actually hadn't mastered many spells."

"So the four founders created Hogwarts to allow more wizards to learn magic to protect themselves, is that right?"

"Yes, that's one reason. It seems you have some understanding of magical history."

"I just finished memorizing over forty books on magical history during this time, including A History of Magic, Hogwarts: A History, Important Magical Events of the Twentieth Century, Modern Magical History, Interpretations of Medieval Events, etc."

"You mean you've memorized all those books on magical history?"

Professor Binns's typically unchanging face showed a rare expression of surprise at George's words.

The other drowsy young wizards also woke up, their faces showing gossip-hungry expressions.

"Then I shall test you."

Professor Binns then began to ask various questions from the magical history books George had mentioned, covering dates, locations, and general content of different events.

And George answered every single one flawlessly, without any mistakes.

"Your name is George, isn't it? Very impressive. The school hasn't had a student so interested in magical history in a very long time.

Your understanding of magical history already surpasses that of many fifth and sixth-year students."

A faint, relieved smile appeared on Professor Binns's rigid face.

Other ghosts became ghosts due to their fear of death, while he became one due to his obsession with teaching magical history.

Therefore, nothing made him happier than seeing a student so talented and interested in magical history.

"I have always believed that magical history is a very important and significant subject.

Studying magical history allows us to internalize the experiences of past wizards, inspiring wisdom.

It not only benefits us in learning magic and refining spells, but also helps us find ways for wizards to coexist, and for wizards and Muggles to coexist.

More importantly, one can see the future in history, illuminating our path forward with wisdom!"

George articulated his views on history in a clear, resonant voice. The young Slytherin and Ravenclaw wizards beside him were stunned.

Although they didn't fully understand George's words, they felt that what he said sounded very impressive.

Because Professor Binns's ghostly body was actually trembling with excitement.

"Well said! Exceptionally well said! I shall reward you! I shall reward you!

Oh, right, I can award House Points! I had forgotten! George, you are splendid! I award Slytherin fifty points!"

"Oh, Merlin's beard! Professor Binns actually gave points! Didn't they say he never gives points?"

"Oh, Merlin's pants! George just earned fifty points for Slytherin! It seems what he said this morning wasn't just big talk."

The young wizards erupted in a commotion upon hearing Professor Binns award points.
