George closed the magic book in his hands and looked at the three of them with a hint of amusement.

"Well, that's too bad. I quite like this bed, and I don't want to give it up."

"You still don't seem to understand the situation, do you?"

The three young wizards simultaneously took a step forward, menacing looks on their faces.

"You should know that while the school forbids us from using magic to attack, it says nothing about not being able to use our fists."

In their eyes, George was much thinner than them, both in height and build. Besides, there were three of them and only one George.

If George didn't understand the situation, they wouldn't mind teaching him a lesson.

"As far as I know, the Slytherin tradition is that whoever is superior becomes the leader. If, in our future studies, you prove to be more excellent than me, with better grades, then I'm willing to give up my bed.

What do you think?"

George suggested with a smile.

If possible, he still didn't want to hit children.

After all, he was now a proper wizard.

And for a wizard, the most important thing was elegance. Rolling up one's sleeves to hit people was something warriors did.

"What's he talking about? He means that a half-blood like him will have better grades than us three pure-bloods? That's the funniest joke I've ever heard!"

The leading young wizard burst into laughter at George's words, and the two beside him quickly followed suit.

"I command you now, immediately take your luggage and that stupid pet, and get out to the innermost bed, or you'll regret it."

"Fine, since you don't want to compete with grades, then I, too, am somewhat proficient in hand-to-hand combat."

Seeing his three new roommates so utterly lacking in self-awareness, George placed his magic book on the bedside table, then stood up and stretched his limbs.

Without magic, without his abilities, relying solely on pure physical strength, at his current level, let alone the three in front of him, even if all the first-year wizards came at him, he could make them all cry.

It wasn't that he possessed exceptionally refined combat skills; it was purely that his strength and speed far outstripped those of these young wizards.

"It seems you really do need a lesson."

Seeing George stand up, the three young wizards said no more. They rolled up their wizard robes and lunged at him.

Two minutes later, George elegantly sat back down, picked up his magic book, and, while reading, said:

"I advise you not to think about going to complain to the teachers or prefects. Otherwise, the story of three of you attacking one of me and still getting beaten like this... if that gets out, your next seven years will be..."

"We know, you... you don't get cocky! You're just a bit strong. If you're so good, let's compete with grades, with magic in the future!"

The three young wizards, bruised, swollen, and with tear streaks on their faces, immediately changed expression at his words, then stammered their reply.

Just moments ago, they really had thought about complaining to the teachers and having George severely punished. But now that they thought about it, if they really did that, they might indeed become the laughingstock of the entire school.

So, they could only use the excuse of competing in grades to save a little face.

"I just suggested competing with grades, but you insisted on competing with fists, sigh..."

George shook his head. The three young wizards' faces grew even uglier, clearly regretting their decision deeply.

The next day, early morning.

While the three bruised and swollen young wizards were still sound asleep, George, having had his full seven hours of sleep, opened his eyes precisely on time.

After a simple wash, he went to the common room.

Because the prefect had mentioned yesterday that the week's timetable would be posted in the common room after six in the morning.

It was now 7:20 AM, and the young wizards' normal class time was 9:00 AM, so most of them were not yet awake.

In the common room, only a few exceptionally diligent older students were reviewing their lessons, likely fifth-year wizards, as they were facing the crucial O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level) exams this year.

"Only one class today?"

Finding the posted timetable, George discovered that on the first day of school, Slytherin first-years only had a History of Magic class at 2:00 PM; all other times were free activity.

However, looking further, it wasn't always that relaxed. Tuesday had two Transfiguration classes in the morning, and one Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the afternoon.

Wednesday had two Herbology classes in the morning, and the afternoon was free.

Thursday had Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts in the morning, Charms in the afternoon, and another History of Magic class in the evening.

Friday had two Potions classes in the morning, one Herbology class in the afternoon, and Astronomy in the evening.

It also noted that flying lessons would begin in the second week, scheduled after Charms class on Thursday afternoon.

Furthermore, the timetable indicated which Houses would attend each class together.

Due to limited teaching staff and the small number of students in each House.

So, at Hogwarts, it was generally two Houses attending a class simultaneously, with about twenty-odd students in one classroom.

For instance, Potions and Flying lessons were taken with Gryffindor first-years.

Charms and Transfiguration were with Hufflepuff.

Herbology, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Astronomy were all with Ravenclaw.

The timetable also listed the locations of the classrooms for each subject.

"Too few Charms classes."

After memorizing the entire timetable, George couldn't help but frown.

For him, among all subjects, the most important was Charms, because most magical principles and basic spells were taught in this class.

However, the timetable only showed one class per week, just like Astronomy, which seemed utterly useless.

But thinking about it, it made sense.

This was first year, and many of the children were from Muggle families, completely unfamiliar with magic. There was no need to rush them into mastering too many spells; building a solid foundation was more important.

"It seems I'll still have to rely on myself."

Such a light course load was too little for him. To master more magic, he would need to spend more time studying on his own.

Fortunately, unlike Knockturn Alley, self-study at Hogwarts was significantly more efficient.

Because if he didn't understand something, he could ask teachers at any time, or consult the vast collection of free magic books in the library.

"Since I don't have class until the afternoon, I'll explore properly this morning."

George didn't continue reading but began to wander around Hogwarts Castle.

He would be studying here for the next seven years, so he definitely needed to scout and familiarize himself with every area. This would make things easier later and also allowed him to get to know the classrooms beforehand.

Leaving the Slytherin Common Room, he first explored the entire dungeon.

Don't underestimate the dungeon; the area beneath Hogwarts Castle was vast and winding. Just a rough tour took him nearly an hour.

It included the boathouse, dungeon storerooms, rooms where ghosts frequently gathered for Deathday parties, the Potions classroom, the Head of Slytherin's office, the Fifth Subterranean Classroom, the Hogwarts kitchens, and the Hufflepuff common room.

The kitchen door was closed, but he could hear the clanking and clanging of house-elves magically preparing breakfast inside.

The Hufflepuff common room entrance was hidden behind a stack of wooden barrels, requiring a specific knock to enter, so he didn't go in to explore. Instead, he went up to the Great Hall on the first floor, ready to have breakfast.
