Chapter 199: Chapter 199
"So, we can't underestimate people from other universes. Is this what magic is? Truly terrifying," Sengoku remarked, his expression grim. Even he couldn't imagine countering Strange's magic.
"But this guy's weakness is obvious. He needs to perform specific actions to cast his spells. You can interrupt him during that time," Aokiji pointed out, revealing Strange's critical vulnerability.
Among the strong individuals present, many were fast enough to incapacitate Strange before he could complete his spells.
"I wouldn't count on him not addressing that issue," Sengoku replied, shaking his head.
On the Sunny, near Skull Island
Luffy and Usopp were mimicking Strange's spellcasting gestures, laughing and playing around.
"This is completely different from the Sky Magic I know. Is this what magic from another universe looks like?" Nami asked curiously, her thoughts wandering to the magic in Doraemon's world.
"Magic truly is fascinating," Robin commented with a smile, her own magical tools making her appreciate the display even more.
In the Naruto World
Tsunade and the others were still captivated by Strange's magic, unable to snap out of their awe.
"So, this is magic? The ability to reshape space and terrain, and perform other feats—it surpasses even our forbidden jutsu!" Onoki said, his voice trembling with shock. The very idea of fighting Strange seemed unthinkable; even his prized Dust Release would likely be turned into harmless butterflies.
"What's there to fear? That so-called magician's body is frail. Just destroy it, and he's done!" A cold snort came from A, who refused to admit defeat.
"In any case, it's a good thing someone like him doesn't exist in our world," Mei concluded, and the others nodded in agreement.
Chiyo watched the expressions of the other Kage-level figures and couldn't help but smirk.
Due to their rewards from containment missions, every village except Sunagakure had experienced rapid growth. However, Sunagakure, still reeling from the C-virus monster crisis and the loss of its Kazekage, had fallen further behind. Since the Five Kage Summit, Chiyo had faced constant scorn from her peers.
Looking at the screen, she thought bitterly, If only I could encounter an easier containment mission, our village's strength would finally grow.
In the DC Universe
"Diana, does our Earth also have magic?" Bruce asked. He had long dismissed magic as unscientific, but seeing magic from another universe forced him to reconsider.
Otherwise, how could there be so many legends about magic?
"Yes, but practitioners are incredibly rare in today's world. I don't even know where they might be," Diana replied.
"Tell me everything you know about magic. I need to prepare," Bruce requested firmly, taking a deep breath.
"You're trying to prepare for aliens, ancient civilizations, and now magic? How much more can you handle?" Diana sighed in exasperation.
"If we do nothing, it'll be disastrous when trouble arises!" Bruce retorted.
Seeing his determination, Diana sighed again. "Fine. I'll tell you everything I know."
"Thank you."
"Sir, madam, this endeavor is monumental. You'll need more help. Surely, there are others with extraordinary abilities in this world," Alfred suggested.
Bruce pondered the idea. Forming a team to combat greater threats was a sound plan, but where would he find people with such abilities?
Meanwhile, Diana murmured thoughtfully, "Maybe that photographer who keeps following me knows something..."
In the Saint Seiya LC Universe
Both the Specters and Saints were astonished by Strange's magical feats.
"Interesting magic—much more captivating than ours," Hypnos remarked.
"I see it now. The magic Strange uses draws power from external sources, such as gods, rather than being trained internally," he explained.
"Borrowing power from gods to wield magic? Such blasphemy!" Thanatos exclaimed angrily.
"It's likely a contract. The more Strange uses the gods' magic, the higher the price he'll pay. Eventually, he'll become part of the god he serves. Fascinating magicians who would sell themselves to gods for power," Hypnos said with a cold smile.
The three major deities laughed derisively. Borrowed power was nothing compared to their own innate strength.
In the Sanctuary
Both Asmita and Sasha came to similar conclusions.
"This Strange and his fellow magicians will likely face grim fates in the future," Sage remarked. Borrowing power from gods came with severe costs, often affecting not just the individual but those around them.
"If I can burn until my last moment, I wouldn't mind borrowing a little power. I just wouldn't repay it!" Cardia joked carelessly.
"You fool! Don't spout nonsense!" Degel scolded him angrily.
"Hey Sasha, why don't you lend us your power? That way, we can defeat the Specters. You wouldn't even need repayment, right?" Cardia suggested, his antics provoking varied reactions from the other Gold Saints.
"Cardia!" Degel yelled furiously, delivering a punch to Cardia's head to silence him.
"Apologies, Lady Sasha. This idiot doesn't think before he speaks," Degel said, bowing in apology.
"It's fine. I don't mind," Sasha replied with a soft smile. Yet, her expression turned thoughtful as she wondered how she could even lend her power—it was difficult to control at times.
Sage, seeing Sasha lost in serious contemplation, could only shake his head in exasperation.
