Lucky draw Starting from Fairy tail

Chapter 27: The Path to Power

After Makarov's final words echoed in the room, he stood up with a tired sigh. The storm of emotion that had raged moments earlier now settled into a calm weight. He gave us both a look—part pride, part sorrow—then left the private chamber to return to the guild hall.

The air felt heavier, like a lingering fog refusing to lift. No one said anything for a few moments.

I glanced at Erza. She had composed herself again, but her eyes shimmered with the residue of unspoken emotion. Cana remained beside her, a quiet pillar of support.

Wanting to change the subject, or at least break the tension, I turned to Laxus, who looked visibly uncomfortable, fidgeting with the edges of his sleeves.

"Hey, Laxus," I said with a half-hearted smile. "Want to go on a mission today?"

He met my eyes briefly, then glanced at Erza. His face remained unreadable as he shook his head. "No. Just finished one. I'll go again in a couple of days."

With that, he turned his back and walked away in silence, leaving us behind in the room.

Back in the room, Cana gently squeezed Erza's shoulder. Erza straightened up and gave a small bow.

"I'm sorry for letting everyone worry," she said, her voice quiet but firm.

Cana smiled warmly, brushing a strand of hair from Erza's face. "You don't have to apologize. We're here. We're your friends. Family."

Gray crossed his arms, averting his eyes. "Just don't cry again like that. We're not used to seeing you all mushy."

Erza blinked. Then gave a tiny, almost invisible smile. Gray, tsundere as always, grumbled under his breath, but the concern in his gaze was genuine.

Watching them, something stirred in my chest.

'I'm weak.'

I had potential. Lucky Draw gave me access to abilities beyond imagination. But that wasn't enough. My summons, my magic—they were strong, yes, but I wasn't. Not truly. Not yet.

'What I lack is time. And time... I can cheat.'

The thought came to me like a lightning bolt.

'What if I could multiply myself? Train faster. Grow smarter. Stronger. Smarter.'

A cheat ability that almost all MC if they had the chance will expliot

"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu."

I nearly gasped aloud.

If I could get it, it would be perfect. Train each clone. Share memories. Multiply my gains. My Lucky Draw talent paired with clone training would be game-breaking.

But I needed to try it alone.

A few minutes later, back in the main hall, I stood up and stretched.

"Gonna hit the restroom," I announced casually.

I slipped away down the hall, heart pounding.

Once alone, I took a deep breath and summoned my interface.

Mana: 15,000 / 15,000

A grin tugged at my lips. My mana had climbed again. I opened my core skill.

I winced.

'One draw. Almost half my mana. If it flops, that's 7,000 Mana' worth of energy gone...'

I hesitated. Then steeled myself.

'Let's go.'

Golden energy erupted from my hand, spiraling into the air. The pressure of the drain hit me hard—I felt faint for a moment.

But then... it formed.

The card shimmered before me.

I nearly jumped with joy. My hands trembled with excitement.

'I don't even care what mental strain is. I'll figure it out later.'

But just as I was about to test it—

Knock knock.

"Hey Lucky, what's taking so long?" Gray called from behind the door.

I cleared my throat. "Just finishing. Coming out now."

When I returned, the tension in the guild hall had mostly passed.

I spotted Erza sitting quietly by the table. I opened my mouth to ask her about a quest, but she spoke first.

"Can we train together today?"

I blinked in surprise. Then smiled. "Of course."

We left the guild and made our way through Magnolia and into the surrounding forest. Trees rustled in the breeze. The afternoon sun peeked through leaves.

Once we were deep enough, I turned to her.

"So, how do you want to do this?"

She met my gaze, eye burning with resolve. "I want to fight your summons."

"Which one?"

"All of them."

My eyebrows rose. "You're serious?"

She nodded without hesitation.

I took a few steps back and raised my hand.

"Alright then. Just remember—you asked for it."

Erza's eyebrow twitched.

"I thought you had two or three... not a whole army."

I grinned, taking another step back as my summons formed in flashes of light around me.

"So... One-on-one? Or one-versus-all?"

The clearing fell silent, and I watched her face closely.

Her answer would set the tone for everything that came next.
