Chapter 274: Heroine's Love Fighting 7
Lucan's vision blurred as the cold overwhelmed him. His heart pounded in his chest, his body screaming in protest as the frost bit into his skin. He could feel his strength waning, his mana reserves nearly depleted. It seemed he need to use Evil Magic.
Just as he began to gather the dark energy, a blur of motion appeared out of nowhere.
Before Bing could react, a powerful kick collided with her side, sending her flying through the air. The force of the blow was so immense that even Bing's ice-encased body couldn't withstand it. She crashed into the frozen ground several meters away, the ice beneath her shattering on impact.
Lucan blinked, trying to comprehend what had just happened. Standing above him, her tan skin glowing against the frozen landscape, was Reshmi—the most powerful tribal warrior. Her short, wild hair framed her face, and her body was barely covered by animal skins wrapped around her chest and hips. Despite the bitter cold that had frozen the battlefield, she didn't flinch, her breath steady.
"Reshmi..." Lucan whispered, still catching his breath. He hadn't expected her to show up, but there was no time for questions. He climbed to his feet, Maris's healing magic already working to close his wounds. His eyes shifted to Bing, who was rising from the ground, fury and shock written across her face.
Lucan didn't care much about and told Reshmi that Bing's heart is weak point, "Her speed and precision make her dangerous, but her heart is vulnerable. We'll have to distract her long enough for a direct hit."
Reshmi nodded, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. Without another word, she charged toward Bing, her bare feet pounding against the frozen ground. Lucan steadied himself, preparing his magic. He would back her up with everything he had.
Bing watched the warrior approach, her expression icy but cautious. She had never encountered Reshmi before, but the sheer force behind that initial kick had told her enough—this woman was no ordinary opponent.
"So, another challenger?" Bing said as she summoned her ice blades. "You think brute strength alone will save him?"
Reshmi didn't respond, her eyes locked on Bing. As she closed the distance, Bing hurled a barrage of ice projectiles toward her, but Reshmi didn't slow. Her reflexes were lightning-fast, dodging the shards with nimble precision, her body twisting and turning through the air as if the ice projectiles were mere obstacles in her path.
Bing's eyes widened slightly, impressed despite herself, but she remained composed. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a massive spike of ice shooting from the ground, aiming to impale Reshmi as she closed in. But Reshmi was quicker.
Leaping into the air, she flipped over the spike, her powerful legs propelling her into the sky. She came down hard, aiming a punch directly at Bing's chest. Bing barely managed to sidestep, the force of Reshmi's fist creating a small crater in the ice where she had been standing.
Lucan saw his opportunity. As Reshmi engaged Bing in close combat, he unleashed a torrent of water magic, summoning boiling water that steamed and hissed as it met the freezing air. Bing raised her hand to freeze it again, but Lucan didn't stop. This time, he mixed his light magic with the water, creating blinding bursts of light as the water evaporated around her, disrupting her concentration.
Reshmi seized the moment, delivering a rapid series of blows, each one aimed at Bing's core. Bing was fast, her ice blades parrying many of the strikes, but Reshmi's sheer physical strength was overwhelming. For every block Bing managed, Reshmi landed two more punches, each one cracking the air with its force.
Despite her precision, Bing could feel the pressure mounting. Reshmi was unlike any fighter she had faced—her movements were wild yet controlled, and her strength was monstrous. For the first time, Bing found herself truly on the defensive.
"Who are you?" Bing hissed, frustration creeping into her voice as she deflected another punch. "How do you—"
Before she could finish, Lucan appeared beside her, having used Shadow Step to teleport from Reshmi's shadow. His hand was glowing with light magic, and he thrust it toward Bing's chest, aiming for her heart.
But Bing was too quick. She twisted away at the last moment, sending a blade of ice slashing toward Lucan. He dodged, but the blade grazed his arm, drawing blood. He stumbled back, gritting his teeth, but Reshmi was already moving. She swung a powerful roundhouse kick at Bing's side, forcing her to retreat.
As Bing backed away, her eyes flicked between Lucan and Reshmi, a scowl forming on her face. She had underestimated them. Alone, Lucan had been a challenge, but with Reshmi in the fight, it was becoming clear that she was losing control of the battlefield.
Bing summoned a wall of ice between herself and her attackers, buying herself a moment to regroup. She had never encountered someone like Reshmi before, and that unsettled her. Lucan's magic was formidable, but this woman's physical strength was something else entirely.
Reshmi didn't respond to the taunt. She simply cracked her knuckles, her muscles flexing as she prepared for the next attack. But Bing wasn't done. With a wave of her hand, she sent jagged spikes of ice shooting from the ground in all directions, surrounding Reshmi. One of the spikes was about to pierce her side when Lucan teleported again, using her shadow as his anchor.
He appeared at her side, grabbing her waist and pulling her out of harm's way just in time. The two of them reappeared behind Bing, Lucan still holding Reshmi as they landed.
"Thanks," Reshmi said as she regained her footing. Lucan released her, his eyes already locked on Bing.
Bing spun around to face them, her eyes blazing with fury. "I won't let you win," she snarled, her icy magic intensifying as the air around her grew colder and more hostile. Ice began to form in the air, jagged and sharp, swirling around her like a deadly storm.
Lucan could feel the chill creeping into his bones, but he didn't falter. He and Reshmi exchanged a brief glance, a silent understanding passing between them. They had to end this quickly.
Reshmi charged forward again, her fists raised, while Lucan followed close behind, summoning both light and shadow magic in tandem. As Bing raised her hands to summon another wave of ice, Reshmi ducked low, sliding under the attack with her incredible speed. In a single fluid motion, she brought her fist up toward Bing's chest.
Bing barely had time to block, her ice blade shattering against Reshmi's fist. But the force of the blow sent her staggering back, her defenses momentarily faltering.
Lucan took his chance. He teleported again, appearing behind Bing, his hand glowing with dark energy this time. He thrust his hand forward, his palm slamming into Bing's back, sending a pulse of dark magic directly toward her heart.
Reshmi followed through with her attack, her fist crashing into Bing's chest from the front.
Bing let out a gasp, her eyes wide with shock as the combined force of their attacks struck her heart. The icy storm around her began to dissipate, the cold air growing still as her power faltered.
She fell to her knees, her hand clutching her chest as she struggled to maintain her form. Lucan and Reshmi stood over her, their breaths heavy but triumphant.
"It's over," Lucan said, his voice steady. "You've lost."
Bing looked up at him, her eyes filled with anger.
