Invincible Living A Lowkey Life

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: The Mansion Beyond Realms

The soft breeze over Dead Mountain carried with it an unfamiliar hum of energy. Chen Franz stood at the edge of the courtyard, his golden eyes narrowing slightly as he raised his hand.

Lim Kris and Chinye sat nearby, watching curiously as the worn-down temple trembled beneath their feet.

Without a word, golden energy rippled across the ground, spreading outward like waves in a calm sea.

The cracked stone pillars straightened, their rough surfaces smoothing into gleaming marble. The roof shifted, expanding outward until it stretched across the sky, transforming into a mansion unlike anything the lower realms had ever seen.

The air thickened with divine energy as phoenix motifs and dragon carvings appeared along the mansion's entrance, glowing faintly beneath the sunlight.

A grand spirit tree rose at the center of the courtyard, its silver leaves shimmering softly. Each leaf radiated pure immortal energy, and its roots spread deep into the mountain below, causing Dead Mountain to expand, stretching taller and wider.

Atop the mansion's roof, the ancient dragon curled lazily, its golden eyes flickering with faint amusement. Opposite the dragon, perched on the tallest spire, was a brilliant phoenix, its crimson feathers glowing faintly in the breeze.

Lim Kris's jaw dropped as she stared at the temple's transformation.

Lim Kris (in awe):

"Master… I've never seen anything like this. Is this still a temple?"

Chen Franz smirked, crossing his arms as he admired his handiwork.

Chen Franz (calmly):

"Not anymore. This is a mansion."

Chinye (softly):

"Is this from the immortal realm? Or the upper world?"

Chen Franz chuckled softly.

Chen Franz:

"No. This mansion is from a place called Earth."

Lim Kris and Chinye exchanged glances, confusion flickering across their faces.

Lim Kris (thinking):

"Earth…? I've never heard of a realm like that."

Chinye (whispering):

"Master Franz… is Earth stronger than the immortal realms?"

Chen Franz smiled faintly but said nothing.

Lim Kris (softly, to herself):

"Earth… is that where Master Franz's true power comes from?"

As they marveled at the mansion, the spirit tree in the center of the courtyard trembled. Its silver leaves rustled gently, and with every movement, waves of immortal energy flowed into the surrounding land.

Suddenly, Dead Mountain began to expand, growing wider and taller until it loomed over the surrounding valleys.

Chinye (shocked):

"The mountain… it's growing!"

Lim Kris's eyes narrowed as she stepped toward the tree, placing her hand gently against its trunk.

Lim Kris (softly):

"This tree… it's alive."

Chen Franz nodded.

Chen Franz:

"It's not just any tree. This is a spirit tree. It'll keep the mountain hidden and sustain the immortal energy surrounding the mansion."

The dragon atop the roof let out a low growl, while the phoenix flapped its wings gently, circling the tree before perching again.

Lim Kris (grinning):

"So we have two guards now?"

Chen Franz smirked.

Chen Franz:

"A dragon to watch the skies, and a phoenix to guard the land."

Chinye chuckled softly, brushing her hair back.

Chinye:

"Master Franz, you really aren't subtle, are you?"

Lim Kris (grinning):

"He prefers to make a statement."

As the spirit tree's energy settled, the sky darkened suddenly.

Dark clouds swirled overhead, and lightning crackled ominously.

Lim Kris's smile faded, her gaze snapping toward the sky.

Lim Kris (seriously):

"A tribulation…?"

Chinye stepped forward, her eyes narrowing as she felt the energy intensify.

Chinye (worried):

"The mansion and the dragon… the lower realm wasn't meant to hold this much power."

A massive bolt of lightning streaked down from the heavens, crackling violently.

Chinye (panicked):

"Master! The tribulation will destroy the mansion!"

But Chen Franz remained still, his gaze calm as he watched the lightning descend.

Before it could strike, Chen Franz lifted his gaze, his golden eyes glowing faintly.

The moment their eyes met, the lightning froze mid-air, trembling violently as if it recognized something.

In the next instant, the tribulation retreated, dispersing into the clouds above.

Lim Kris (blinking in disbelief):

"Wait… did the lightning just run away?"

Chinye shook her head, staring at Chen Franz in shock.

Chinye (softly):

"No… it feared him."

Chen Franz chuckled lightly, brushing his sleeve as if nothing had happened.

Chen Franz:

"It knows who created it."

Lim Kris's eyes widened.

Lim Kris (staring):

"Wait… you're telling me you created tribulation lightning?"

Chen Franz (Laughing):

"it is a Joke HAHAHA."

Chinye opened her mouth but couldn't find the words to respond.

Chinye (thinking):

"Just how powerful is Master Franz…?"

As the skies cleared, the dragon let out a soft growl, curling around the mansion's highest tower, while the phoenix soared gracefully above the spirit tree.

Dead Mountain, now larger than ever, radiated with immortal energy, hidden from the eyes of the lower realm.

Lim Kris sighed, placing her hands on her hips.

Lim Kris (grinning):

"Well, if this is our home now, I guess we're living like immortals."

Chinye chuckled softly, gazing at the mansion.

Chinye (smiling faintly):

"I suppose peace feels a little more secure with a dragon and phoenix guarding the front door."

Chen Franz smiled but turned his gaze toward the distant horizon.

Chen Franz (softly, to himself):

"Let's see how long this peace last"
