" I...Damien Bircher... I will wipe you all away from existence "Damien's cry echoed throughout the light barrier. His brown eyes were now fully lit .

"Wooosh " he appeared at the wall of the barrier like a ghost, breaking the Movement Restriction Spell his mom placed on him

" Bang " he punched the light barrier with all his strength but the barrier did not even move in slightest.

"Bang, Bang ,Bang....Bang " Damien was punching the barrier like a mad man .His fists cut open and blood began to flow .Damien felt tired however he still continued hitting the barrier .

An hour passed .

Damien's punches were getting slower .With the lost of so much blood , his vision was blurring.

"Break already....Bang !" Damien punched the barrier with his last strength.

"Thud..." He fell on his knees weakly.

"Crack..." the barrier issued a cracking sound. Damien looked at where he had punched ,cracks had appeared .

"Crac... ck" the crack extended in a web like manner .

"Woosh" The barrier began disintegrating.

Damien attempted to rise up but the pain from the rest of his body shot into his head .

"Aar..um" he let out a muffled scream. He gave up trying to stand up , he crawled outside. Just then he heard a noise to his left. He turned to the source of the sound.

A figure stepped out of the shadow of the forest .It was a golden armoured middle aged man. He had two unconcious figuresf on his shoulders. Damien shook his head, they looked farmiliar. .

"Who..are you ...? " Damien muttered losing consciousness.

"Plop .." He fell down weakly.The last thing he saw was the golden armoured middle aged man appproaching.

In a dimly lit room ,a boy was asleep on a large bed.He had a handsome face with dark and silver hair.It was Damien

"Mom " He woke up with a shout. He sat up on the bed and observed his surroundings. He was in an unfamiliar place . He looked down at his body. His hands and legs were wrapped with bandages.

What happened in the village came to him like a flood.

"Ughh" he groaned in pain as he clutched his head in his arm. When he raised his head there was a stream of tears flowing down his cheeks.

In a large luxurious hall , there were ten seats with elders seated in them . Currently there was an argument going in between the elders . On the largest seat , the golden armoured man Damien saw, was seated quietly.

"Your highness...I think it is unacceptable to have a creature like that boy joining the Academy " an elder said stressing the golden armoured man.

"Yes..yes..yes " several of the elders added in support.

The golden armoured man who had his eyes closed suddenly opened them.

"Don't worry I was the one who brought him here ...I will take responsibility if anything happens but for now he stays " the King said with a note of finality.

The elders were silent for a while .

"We understand, Your highness "they responded.

"What about those two girls " an elder asked.

"They...." the King was interrupted as a black crow flew from one of the windows into the hall .It landed in the centre of the

"Message from the Wizard Tower , the two girls are to be delivered to the tower " the crow could surprisingly talk.

" That man wants them...?"an elder said puzzled.

The King was silent for awhile.

"Ok ....also arrrange for the boy to enter the Academy "

Damien laid on the bed for more than an hour. He removed the bandages on his hands and legs. All the injuries had healed , there wasn't even a scar left.

He got up and staggered towards the door of the room he was in. Just as his hand reached to open the door ..."whoosh ",there was a whooshing sound behind him. Damien turned .He saw a dark shadow perched on the windows .Damien studied the figure, it was a handsome man in black armour.

"Kid ,what's so special about you...." he suddenly asked.

"Huh...what's he talking about" Damien thought in confusion.

"Well....to be able to personally make the King enroll you in the Academy...." the man muttered. "Wooosh"the man jumped appearing before Damien like a phantom.

"Huh.."Damien took a step back in fear.

He had never seen such speed before. The man opened his palm and swept it down casually towards Damien's head.

Damien intuition told him to dodge the casual palm.

"Woosh " he flashed away , putting a safe .

distance between the two of them.

"Booom" the man's palm struck the air creating a blast of air.

"He dodged ...not bad "the man thought.

Suddenly he sensed an ominous feeling from his left.

He was stunned to see Damien's figure in mid air clawing down with his nails

"When did he get here " he thought meanwhile he casually brought his arms together in a defensive posture. Damien's attack was easily blocked. He gently pushed Damien backward.

"Bang..." Damien was sent flying down "Bang " he crashed into a chair.

"This..." the man muttered looking at the claw marks in the sleeves of his armour.

Damien got up from the remains of the chair he rolled into, prepared to launch another attack.

"You haven't entered the Academy but you are able to hold your own against twenty percent of my power...interesting " he remarked casually but Damien could now feel a powerful pressure emanating from the man.

Damien was shocked. He was aware that the black armoured man was using just full power but to think it was only twenty percent of his power left him speechless.

"This kid ... if he joins the Academy I wonder how much he is going to grow...such a monster " the handsome man thought looking at Damien's face.

"I apologize for attacking you earlier, I was just testing you " he aplogized casually.

Damien remained silent.

"You have been selected to join the Monster Slayer Academy ...."

"By monster do you mean the Otherworld monster ?" Damien asked

"Right " the man replied.

"I'm in " Damien replied. The man was not surprised.After all , Damien's village had been destroyed by Otherworld monsters .

The man walked to the window. "Have a good night's sleep, tomorrow we leave for the capital " he leaped on the window again ready to jump out.

" I am Charles ....wooosh " his figure disappeared jumping down.

Damien went to the window and looked around. He saw that he was in a tower, he looked down.

"Did he really jump up and down ?" Damien thought bewildered.

Just then there was a knock at his door and a woman in a maid's uniform walked in.She laid the bundles she was holding on a table, beside his bed.

"Sir ,Master Charles wants you to put these on for tommorow and the other is your supper " she said and before Damien could reply she was already out.

Damien immediately turned to the food and began to eat.
