I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 54: The Divine’s Dark Humor

Chapter 54: The Divine’s Dark Humor

The following scenes that replayed in my memory revolved entirely around this little boy, leaving Aierjisi and Yake bystanders in a fog of confusion.

“Aier, are you sure this is your memory? This kid doesn’t even look like you!”

Yake watched as the boy, from the beginning as a toddler, grew to a height similar to Yake himself.

“I’m not so sure anymore… If this memory exists in my consciousness space, it must belong to me.”

Aierjisi was starting to lose confidence too; this memory showed something completely different from her other recollections, utterly out of style.

“Wait, Aier, look! That looks like you!”

With a shift in the scene, the boy was now sitting in front of a machine, controlling it. Yake squinted at the screen, and the person on it seemed just like the little princess beside him.

“What? It really does look like me! What’s going on?”

Aierjisi leaned in to catch a glimpse of the character on the screen; it couldn’t be said to be similar—it was a perfect match. What in the world was happening?

“You don’t know either?”

Yake had assumed Aierjisi would have some answers.

“No idea. I have no clue about these scenes that this memory is showing.”

Aierjisi could only shake her head and continued watching with Yake.

The next memory showed a man named Guanyu inserting a thing called a “USB stick,” and his body seemed to be consumed by something, rapidly disintegrating and vanishing from the room, leaving nothing behind.

“Did that guy just die?”

“Probably? There’s not a bone left. There’s no way he could still be alive. But what does this memory have to do with me? Why is it in my consciousness space… ugh.”

Suddenly, Aierjisi clutched her head and crouched down. Her head hurt so much… just like when she had woken up.

“Aier? What’s wrong?”

Yake crouched down, concerned.

“Nothing. Just a bit of a headache. Let me rest for a moment; you can go out.”

Aierjisi opened a vortex and shoved Yake out of her consciousness space.

“Hey! Wait!”

Yake reached out to grab Aierjisi, but it was too late—he caught nothing and vanished into the darkness.

“Ugh…”

After sending Yake away, Aierjisi clasped her mouth and knelt on the platform. Ugh, how disgusting! Even though she had no clue who had pulled this stunt, forcibly implanting Aierjisi’s memories into her was practically suicide. How annoying that now, after getting used to acting with Aierjisi’s consciousness, part of Guanyu’s old memories had awakened—what a twisted sense of humor!

“Well, it’s not all bad. After all, the trouble’s already been dealt with.”

Thinking it over, during her time acting as Aierjisi, Harker had been taken care of by Aisi, and she and Yake had acquired quite a fortune. Plus, she gained the Blood Clan’s longevity. It was like she could just sit back and enjoy a decadently lazy life. Not too shabby. Though the lack of computers and phones made it a bit hard to adjust.

“You just woke up after sleeping for barely ten minutes. Were you really asleep?”

On the other side, Yake, having been expelled from Aierjisi’s consciousness space, woke up with nowhere to go. When he came to, Aisi, who had been napping on the table, also sat up.

“No. I entered the princess’s consciousness space due to a contract.”

“Oh, the consciousness space, huh? So you got kicked out by the princess.”

Upon hearing that Yake had entered Aierjisi’s consciousness space, Aisi immediately understood—Yake waking up so soon had to mean he got booted by her.

“Yeah, just a bit concerning…”

“Worried about what?”

“Nothing. I’ll just go back to sleep. I probably won’t enter her consciousness space again, so I can catch some good z’s.”

Yake still didn’t tell Aisi about the memory or Aierjisi’s reaction. His instincts told him that the fewer people who knew about it, the better.

“Fine then, goodnight.”

Aisi lay back down on the table, using the brief moment to restore his spirits.

Meanwhile, Aierjisi sorted through the current information in her consciousness space, discovering a sad truth—she could not just laze around; those Ultimate Life Forms, the Adrian People, would absolutely not let her off the hook and were dead set on making her a sacrificial offering to awaken the God of Chaos.

“Sometimes being too popular isn’t a good thing. I think I understand how those campus beauties feel now.”

With a resigned shrug, Aierjisi contemplated her future strategies. Speaking of which, using that USB was what led to her current predicament. According to the activity’s rules, there were likely others who had also arrived in this world like her.

In this Beautiful Girl Symphony, apart from Aierjisi herself, there were five other characters available for players to control. Perhaps she could team up with other players to fight against those pesky Ultimate Life Forms.

“Hold on, wait a sec—thinking further, is this world really what you’d call a different world?”

Delving deeper, she had initiated that program. So, it was highly likely that this was merely the world of that game. She was simply playing the role of “Aierjisi.” Yes, that must be it. So teaming up with other players to clear the “Ultimate Life Form” main quest should allow her and the others to return to the real world.

“Yes, that must be it.”

Aierjisi nodded; talk about smarts—she had cracked the reality of this world so quickly.

“However… since I’ve finally become Aierjisi herself, not doing anything thrilling seems like a waste. Just right, Yake probably won’t come back here again.”

Aierjisi let loose and started to indulge. After all, this was her consciousness space—there was absolutely no one else here, so she could have a wild time without any worry.

Unfortunately, this space was only a conscious construct; being a mere consciousness meant she couldn’t experience the physical sensations unique to a real body, no matter how much she stirred up chaos.

“Forget it, I’ll just wait until I’m alone to really enjoy myself.”
