Hulk : The Thunderstrike

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Brilliant Record, A Unique Landscape!

Amidst the bustling crowd at the Chicago bus station, seven thieves were apprehended in quick succession, one after another. However, according to Antonia's assessment, there should have been eight.

This discrepancy brought to light a limitation of his olfactory recognition skills. Initially, Antonia identified eight individuals in the crowd who exuded an unusual scent. However, upon using his identification ability, only seven thieves were confirmed. The eighth individual? A ticket inspector.

Antonia quickly deduced that the ticket inspector's daily physical contact with passengers likely resulted in residual scents clinging to him, which explained the confusion. With this realization, Antonia was relieved.

"Catching seven thieves in one go—these aren't just petty criminals but seasoned thieves on the run!"

Jhon, now astonished, looked at Antonia as if he were superhuman. "Sam, your Chicago precinct has struck gold! With a talent like Antonia, earning accolades must be as easy as breathing!"

Sam could barely contain his grin, his pride shining through. "Absolutely a win!"

Originally, the day's patrol was intended as a bonding exercise between mentor and apprentice. Sam never expected it would result in nabbing over a dozen criminals, two of whom were credited directly to his name.

For Marco, a rookie on the job for just a month, Antonia had become a figure of awe. When he first heard Sam boasting about Antonia's past accomplishments, Marco dismissed it as exaggerated storytelling. But witnessing Antonia's actions in person? It silenced every doubt.

"Antonia, you're incredible!" Marco exclaimed, rushing to hand him a cold drink as a gesture of admiration.

Even Marco's mentor, john, didn't seem envious. Instead, he teased Marco, who turned crimson from embarrassment, much to the amusement of those present.

Applause from the Crowd

As the captured thieves were lined up, murmurs and cheers spread throughout the crowd.

"Amazing! Seven thieves caught just like that!"

"The police are incredible!"

"My phone! They stole it!"

"My wallet's been recovered too!"

Loud applause erupted, with passengers expressing their gratitude to the officers. But Antonia wasn't done yet.

"If we're already here, why not catch a few more?" he suggested.

With this motivation, Antonia led his team through the bustling station, identifying and apprehending thieves and other criminals. Over the next two hours, the team managed to capture 27 criminals, including a B-level fugitive wanted for financial fraud involving over $10 million.

The efficiency was astounding. Sam, john ,and Marco were exhilarated, eagerly following Antonia's lead. Their excitement reached the point where even if their commanding officer had appeared, they might have arrested him, trusting Antonia's judgment implicitly.

One criminal attempted to flee despite Antonia's warning. Antonia gave the thief a fifty-meter head start before chasing him down and bringing him back effortlessly. The thief, who sustained two broken ribs during the pursuit, learned the hard way that resisting arrest wasn't an option.

A Unique Scene

At the end of the operation, the arrested criminals were lined up against the wall, hands on their heads. This scene became an unusual spectacle at the bus station, with onlookers gathering to witness the aftermath.

"It's time to wrap this up," Antonia announced. He and Sam decided to conclude their operation for the day, though they were confident they could catch more thieves if they continued.

Yu Yingwei and Marco, though reluctant, agreed. "We've accomplished enough today," Yu said, pulling out his radio to call for reinforcements. Sam did the same, summoning more officers to help transport the criminals.

Of the 27 apprehended, 18 were claimed by the Chicago precinct, while the remaining nine, including the B-level fugitive, were handled by Hedong precinct.

Soon, the distant wail of police sirens signaled the arrival of backup.

A Hero's Welcome

The first to arrive was Matt, a senior officer from the Hedong precinct. As he stepped out of his vehicle, his skeptical expression gave way to amazement when he saw the lineup of arrested criminals.

"You weren't joking, Yu! You actually caught 27, including a B-level fugitive?"

Yu grinned. "You're looking at the result of teamwork, led by none other than Antonia."

Behind Matt, Rex, Ethan, and Stephen joined the scene, their faces filled with admiration.

"What a haul! This is going to make waves back at the precinct!" Marco said, his eyes gleaming with pride.

Sam nodded, patting Antonia on the back. "Today was a good day, thanks to you."

As the criminals were transported away and order was restored to the station, the officers reflected on their accomplishments. It wasn't just the number of arrests that mattered; it was the sense of justice served and the camaraderie shared.

For Antonia, this was another step in his journey—a testament to his skill, determination, and the unwavering support of his team.
