Hp/Marvel: John Wick The Witch King

Chapter 159: Chapter 159: The Lord of Hell and the Wizard King

Agnes and Ariana stood side by side, a twisted mockery of an alliance.

Waist-length golden hair, a coat the color of a summer sky—Ariana, the sister he hadn't seen in years, had grown into a graceful young woman, though faint traces of the little girl she once was still lingered in her features.

John's expression could no longer be described as merely terrifying. The moment his pupils contracted into vertical slits, his eyes blazed with an all-consuming killing intent. The otherworldly beings from Hell that had been poised to follow Ariana out of the portal froze, struck with a primal fear, and retreated back into the darkness.

Centered on John, an arctic cold surged through the passage, encasing everything in a rapidly expanding layer of frost.

Agnes, her hands now free, conjured a shimmering purple shield to ward off the chill.

"An existence that does not belong to this world," John's voice was a low growl, thick with suppressed fury. "You have violated something far more fatal than a taboo."

Ariana's head tilted at an unnatural angle, and a voice that was neither male nor female emanated from her lips. "A wizard?" She glanced at Agnes. "Is this the gift you promised me?"

Finding it impossible to turn hostile towards her new master, Agnes could only say, "He is kin to this vessel."

"I have not yet fully merged with this body," the Hell Lord mused, looking down at Ariana's arm. "The will within still repels me." A glowing bracelet on her wrist, a gift from John, was pulsing with protective energy, fighting the entity's complete possession.

"This is a wizard from an ancient family, possessing a noble bloodline," the Hell Lord continued, its voice indifferent. "Bring him to me. Help me summon a projection of Hell, and I will help you deal with him."

"It would be my honor," Agnes said, bowing respectfully.

With a slight raise of Ariana's hand, the layers of ice that had coated the dimension shattered into a million glittering shards. She stepped forward, her left eye the color of pure ink, her right a familiar blue. The Hell Lord had not yet fully arrived; it had merely projected its consciousness into Ariana, a terrifying foothold in their world.

A lingering fear rose in John's heart. He stared intently at the being controlling his sister. The Ancient One had warned him that many dimensions coveted this world, and this Hell Lord was one of them, using its followers to find a way in. What unholy bargain had Agnes struck, using Ariana as a sacrifice?

The good news was that the entity had not fully merged. This meant John still had a chance.

He revealed a mouthful of chillingly white teeth. "I will let you know the taste of having your soul ground into dust."

With a deafening roar, both raised their hands. Scarlet and dark red energy collided in a blinding explosion.

John held his wand ready, his primary concern keeping Ariana's body from harm. The red lightning of a Disarming Charm shot forth, striking the walls of the Hell-projection and sending sparks flying.

"Why are you holding back?" the entity mocked through Ariana's lips, a wicked grin spreading across her face. Dark red vortexes of energy swirled into existence, surrounding John. Her body levitated, and gnarled, unknown roots erupted from the ground as the scenery twisted and warped around them.

John cast a Shield Charm, the translucent barrier deflecting the initial assault. The entity then split into two, then four, until hundreds of identical Arianas stood before him, magic circles glowing at their feet.

A spike of danger shot through his mind. John gripped his wand in a reverse hold and stabbed it fiercely toward the ground.

"Finite Incantatem!"

A solid wall of golden light erupted from the floor. The entity's attack, a wave of dark red mist, slammed against it, causing ripples to spread through the very fabric of the void.

John didn't stop. He waved his wand, a simple summoning charm for water—a spell learned in the first year at Hogwarts—becoming a surging, unstoppable flood in his hands. The torrent of water began to submerge the entire projection of Hell.

"You want to destroy the projection and interrupt the sacrifice?" the Hell Lord realized, its voice cold with fury. "Agnes, stop him!"

Agnes immediately took action. As a witch powerful enough to be recognized by the Wizard King, she was far from weak. She raised her hands, weaving a barrier of purple magic to compress and contain the flood. But the water was endless, rising from the ground in a continuous torrent. John opened his mouth and exhaled a blast of frigid air.

The water flowing past Agnes's ankles instantly turned to solid ice.

"Confringo!"

A beam of red light shot from John's wand, and the ice layer shattered. Guided by his magic, the razor-sharp fragments transformed into a flock of birds made of ice and rushed towards Agnes. Her expression changed as she pressed her hands downwards, breaking free from the ice's restraint and flying into the air just as the Hell Lord attacked again.

The gnarled roots coiled around John, tightening their grip.

"Serpensortia! Engorgio!"

A puff of black smoke shot from his wand, solidifying into a massive, venomous snake. Its body grew to a monstrous size, and with a guttural roar, it charged towards Agnes.

"Why is everything attacking me?" she shrieked, her face a mask of indignation. She had no time to complain further; the snake spat a stream of corrosive poison, showing no mercy.

The roots binding John contracted. A smile had just begun to form on the Hell Lord's face when it vanished. It spun around just as John, having freed himself, appeared behind it and fired a Stunning Spell. An invisible barrier flared to life, blocking the attack.

"Ferula!"

The clothes on Ariana's body suddenly tightened like bindings, rendering her immobile. John was about to approach when Agnes tore the giant snake apart with her bare hands. She raised a hand, and a ball of purple energy struck John, sending him hurtling downwards.

Having lost his chance, John looked up at Agnes, golden dragon scales flashing beneath his torn sleeve. His wand traced a pattern on the ground, and the flying ice fragments transformed into swords of solid steel.

He raised his wand. "Geminio!"

The swords split into two, then four, continuously multiplying until a dense rain of blades filled the sky above them.

The swords fell. Agnes's expression changed drastically as she threw her hands up, her defensive magic groaning under the relentless assault. The passage around them began to collapse.

The Hell Lord, having broken free from its restraints, saw John's intent. He was using large-scale attacks to shatter the pocket dimension itself. If he succeeded, its consciousness would be severed from this world.

Thinking of this, the dark red energy on Ariana's body flared, enveloping the entire projection and stabilizing it. She raised a hand, and an immense pressure descended upon John, shattering the rain of swords in an instant.

"You cannot stop me, wizard," the entity's voice echoed.

Agnes waved her hands, sending beams of purple magic shooting toward John, submerging him in a relentless barrage and pushing him back. The Hell Lord opened its hands as if plucking flowers from the air, the blackness in its left eye creeping steadily toward the blue of the right.

"An ancient bloodline can draw out my power more effectively," it said, its interest piqued by John's power. "Wizard, I permit you to leave your name."

Under the surging bombardment, a hand sheathed in gleaming silver metal suddenly lifted. With a flick of his wrist, John redirected the beams of energy. He exhaled a breath of cold air, his eyes locking onto his opponents. They were troublesome, and his fear of harming Ariana had made him hesitate.

But now, it was time to counterattack.

He slowly raised his right hand, and the gem on the back of his gauntlet began to glow with an otherworldly light.

John's voice was calm, a stark contrast to the storm around him.

"John Wick."

Snap.

The sound was small, insignificant.

And in an instant, the entire projection of Hell, and everything within it, stopped.
