HP : The Frail-Looking, Iron-Fisted Beauty of Harry Potter

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Welcome to Diagon Alley

Hagrid had, of course, anticipated this.

Unlike Harry's obscurity in the Muggle world, the name Harry Potter was a household name in the magical world.

After all, he was the Boy-Who-Lived, the one who had defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and brought peace to the magical world.

All those who were dissatisfied with Voldemort's dark rule, or who had friends and relatives who died at the hands of Death Eaters, were naturally grateful to Harry.

One by one, wizards began to stand up to greet Harry, giving brief self-introductions.

Someone even wanted to buy Harry a drink, but was sternly refused by Hagrid.

After all, they had important business to attend to, and Harry was not of drinking age.

After all this, Hagrid looked at the Dursley family behind him with a smile, as if to say, Please re-acquaint yourselves with Harry Potter. He is not someone you can bully.

Although Dumbledore and McGonagall had told Hagrid that the Dursley family had reconciled, Hagrid still wanted to be one of Harry's pillars of support. After all, Harry's parents and Hagrid had been members of the Order of the Phoenix, comrades who fought against Voldemort together.

"Dolly, it's okay."

Vernon felt a little uneasy, not because he was being ignored.

He was a professional, after all, and had seen situations like this before.

He was just worried that his daughter, having come to this strange and dangerous world, would become the one who was bullied.

Especially with that look Hagrid had just given him, Vernon couldn't help but overthink.

"If you're not happy here, we can learn a few spells and then drop out."

"Anyway, our purpose in coming here is to control the magic inside you. Who would really like this place?"

Vernon spoke quietly, but the surrounding wizards still heard him.

Immediately, pairs of astonished eyes turned to the three of them. Someone even asked in an unfriendly tone, "Muggles?"

Petunia's eyes filled with fear, and she tried to pull Dolly behind her.

However, Dolly stepped forward and said with a smile, "Yes, we are Muggles."

"Is there a rule that Muggles can't learn magic?"

A cold sneer tugged at the man's lips, and he was about to say something snide.

But he suddenly realized something, and a drop of cold sweat trickled down his forehead.

Discriminating against Muggles was actually quite common among wizards, especially in a place like a pub.

After a few drinks, things people wouldn't dare to say normally would just slip out, and not many would take it seriously.

But what was the situation now?

The savior, Harry, was right here. He was the one who had defeated Voldemort.

Voldemort and his gang of Death Eaters, who tortured and killed Muggles and Muggle-borns, had become rats that everyone in the magical world wanted to exterminate.

In this situation, what would be the consequence of saying something discriminatory against Muggles in front of Harry?

He would probably be attacked by the crowd, even in a pub, right?

"No, of course they can."

The man replied in a slightly hoarse voice. "Congratulations, little witch. You'll love the magical world."

"Definitely, I guarantee it."

With that, he turned away and started drinking.

The atmosphere in the pub finally relaxed a bit. Then, people started to greet Dolly.

Although these kind wizards didn't think that Dolly had actually set a verbal trap, the fact that she had bravely stood up was already beyond most people her age.

Another promising young wizard!

It couldn't be helped. Compared to the Muggles, who were numbered in the billions, the number of wizards was just too small.

Even though the probability of a wizard being born in a Muggle family was very low, the decline of pure-blood wizards was an unstoppable trend.

Look at all those noble families, they couldn't even have a few children. How were they supposed to continue the glory of their family?

Oh, except for the red-haired Weasley family.

At this point, Harry also realized something was wrong and quickly walked back to Dolly's side.

He hadn't forgotten his vow to protect Dolly's safety.

Dolly smiled at him and then asked, "How does it feel to be the center of attention?"

"If you like it, it will take a lot of effort to maintain this feeling in the future."

From the original books, Harry undoubtedly enjoyed this feeling and had been carried away by it more than once.

However, Harry did have some leadership qualities. His only problem was that he wasn't well-rounded enough and needed Hermione as his external brain.

But now Hermione wasn't here, so the external brain had naturally become Dolly.

So Harry said in a low voice, "Not great. I don't even know what's going on."

"It makes me feel very uneasy, like I could fall at any moment."

Dolly looked at Harry in surprise. "I didn't expect our Harry to be so sensible."

"Alright, sister, you're only seven days older than me. Don't always talk like you're so much older."

"Seven days still makes me your sister. Forever your sister."

With that, Dolly gave Hagrid a polite smile and said, "Mr. Hagrid, please don't do this kind of thing in the future."

Hagrid was a little nervous and uneasy. He hadn't expected Harry to care so much about Dolly and the Dursley family.

The little arrangement meant to make Harry happy now seemed to have backfired.

"After all, if so many people like Harry, it means there must be some who hate him, right?"

Hagrid nodded. That was indeed the truth.

If there had been a hidden Death Eater in the crowd just now, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Hagrid was a little dejected, but he still led the group to the backyard of the Leaky Cauldron.

He then tapped a few bricks on the wall. The bricks twisted open like sliding building blocks, and a gate to the magical world slowly opened.

On the other side of the gate was Diagon Alley, the most prosperous street in the entire British magical world.

Although it looked like a small medieval street, the bustling crowd, the wizards of all kinds in their robes, and the traces of magic everywhere made it impossible to compare it to a normal Muggle shopping street.

Even Vernon, who was still muttering to himself, was dazzled.

He truly realized that this was another world. Poverty and shabbiness were just appearances; the magic that was everywhere was the key to understanding everything.

"This is the place where Lily used to come."

Petunia's face was full of nostalgia, and a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes.

It was as if every shop held Lily's footprints, which, in fact, it did.

"Dad, Mum, let's take a good look around later."

"This way, you can learn more about magic and won't think of it as something dangerous anymore."

This was what Dolly wanted to do most today.

Only by putting Petunia and Vernon at ease could Dolly live comfortably at school.

Otherwise, who knew how many concerned letters she would receive from her parents.

"Let's go to Gringotts first and exchange some Galleons there," Hagrid said, taking the lead and pointing to a crooked white building in the distance.
