Chapter 1: WRITER'S NOTE
Writer's Note
Hello to whoever will be reading this book. Before we begin, please note, this is fiction. Not everything in this story is true or real. Most are made up. Also, I'm not Korean. I only want to try something different.
I'm not good or perfect, if there's any mistakes, please alert me.
I won't say this book is good or perfect but I still hope you like it. Even if, is just a little.
Take care, and I hope you journey with me and the characters throughout this book.
That will be all.
“Say more”
God, you scared me. *Sigh, If I may ask, who are you?
“A character in this book. You didn't invite me so I invited myself”
I wonder why you didn't ask why I didn't invite you over.
“Hae Jin, that's my name. I'm one of the main characters”
I know.
“Of course you do”
God, not again.
“You keep creating annoying characters, deal with it”
*Sigh, I have no choice, do I?
“I’ve read your other book. Legend Of The Demon king. Not bad, but I bet there are a lot of mistakes. I wonder if you write with your eyes closed”
……………I have no words.
“I thought so before I even spoke”
Great. Now can you leave? I'm about to start.
“Make this good. I don't want any mistakes”
I can't promise. Like you said, I write with my eyes closed.
“Seriously?”
No, I really can't promise. It is not on purpose.
“If you say so”
Well,............. let's make this clear. Never show up uninvited. You scared the crap out of me when you spoke.
“I did whisper into your ear”
Never do that again.
“I hear you. Relax, will you?”
No one else came with you, right?
“I came in peace and alone”
Great, now leave.
“But I just came”
Will you leave or should I kick you out?
“.........”
Choose.
“I'll leave”
Better, and don't forget what we talked about.
“I won't, but I can't promise to…….”
I don't want to hear it. Just do what I said.
“You can be scary, you know?”
Give me a break, will you? Just leave already.
“But I came for you. I'm here to keep you company”
I don't need it. Leave already.
“What are we talking about?”
Oh, shit! Don't whisper into my ear and where the heck did you even come from?!
“Sorry, I heard the story is about to begin so I came to introduce myself”
The f**k?
“I'm Hae Jin”
Don't introduce yourself!
“Sung-Yoon”
Don't either!
“Nice to meet you”
Don't shake hands!
“This is exciting”
No it is not! I want to leave!
Sung-Yoon: I'm a character in this story.
Writer: Leave already!
Hae Jin: What a pleasant surprise. Me too. I'm one of the main characters”
Give me a break.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah, I came to introduce myself”
“Me too. Came as soon as I heard”
How come you two know about this? Who told you?
“Yeah, I hope we'll be good friends”
“Likewise Hae Jin”
You two know you won't remember any of this when the story begins right?
“...........”
“............”
That's what I thought.
“I'll look for you Hae Jin!”
There's no need.
“Me too Sung-Yoon”
Seriously, there's no need.
“I really like you Hae Jin”
You two just met.
“Me too, Sung-Yoon. I feel this connection”
Unbelievable.
“I know we can be very good friends, Hae Jin. I can feel it”
I'm feeling something else.
Both, “What?”
Annoyance. I'm actually amazed you heard me just now.
Sung-Yoon: Not going to happen again.
Hae Jin: That's right.
*Sigh,........
Hae Jin: So tell me about your other story, Legend Of The Demon king.
I thought you agreed with her.
Sung-Yoon: I love novels, but let me tell you, don’t drop this book for it. I won't take it well and you won't take it well either.
Writer: I've heard you but I can't promise.
Sung-Yoon: Seriously?
Writer: Just joking.
Sung-Yoon: Better.
Writer: It is about changers, half humans, half demons. Demons, angels and ruthless humans.
Sung-Yoon: That sounds……..I don't know, let me process it.
Writer: Just go read it.
Hae Jin: So the main character is an angel?
Writer: Part angel, part demon.
Hae Jin: I see, I'll check it out.
Writer: Great, please do.
Sung-Yoon: What about this book?
Writer: I can't share.
Sung-Yoon: Come on, just a little bit.
Writer:........... Fine, you’ll forget all about this anyways.
Sung-Yoon: Yes!
Hae Jin: Please share.
Writer: You know, I like it a lot when you are respectful. Keep it up.
Hae Jin:..... I feel I should……
Writer: Then I'll keep my mouth shut.
Hae Jin: Relax, I was just joking.
Writer: Fine, but I won't say much. Just what we all know.
Hae Jin: What do you mean what we all know. I haven't seen the synopsis.
Writer: What the heck are you doing here then?
Hae Jin: Just tell us.
Writer: No! Go read it or I won't say a word!
Sung-Yoon: Such an annoying writer.
Writer: Don't worry, it is no news. I hear it all the time.
Sung-Yoon:...... Speechless.
Writer: Go read it.
Hae Jin: Done!
Writer: Where did you even read it from? You have no phone.
Hae Jin: I used a laptop.
Writer: I'm seated right beside you and I see no laptop.
Sung-Yoon: We're seated?
Writer: Don't be a spoiler Sung-Yoon.
Sung-Yoon: You can't blame me.
Hae Jin: I'm in your head, remember.
Writer: Then just say so. That's creepy by the way.
Hae Jin: I feel the same.
Writer: Fine, let's just say you've seen and read it. Now, what do you think?
Hae Jin: I'm a ghost.
Writer: I know. So, what do you think?
Hae Jin: Why the heck do I have to die so early?
Writer: You're still alive aren't you?
Hae Jin: But I'm dead. No one can see me.
Writer: Tae Jin can.
Hae Jin: But I'm still dead.
Writer: Seriously, shouldn't you be worried about something else?
Sung-Yoon: Yeah, that's a kid.
Hae Jin: I can't be dead.
Writer: Face reality Hae Jin.
Hae Jin: He'll grow up won't he?
Writer: This is fiction everyone! Fiction!
Hae Jin: I see even you haven't come to terms with it.
Sung-Yoon: I wonder if the FBI will be around.
Writer:.............. I hope I don't get arrested.
Hae Jin: I should be worried about that.
Writer: This is fiction. This is fiction.
Sung-Yoon: Stop convincing yourself.
Writer: But it is.
Hae Jin: Now I'm worried.
Writer: Everyone! Just relax! It is fiction.
Sung-Yoon: I can see it is working. Keep convincing yourself.
Writer: This is fiction.
Hae Jin: Enough about this! Let's talk about something else.
Writer: This is taking too long, when are you guys leaving?
Hae Jin: Can you just shut up and enjoy our company?
Writer:..............
Sung-Yoon: Yeah, shut up.
Writer: I'll give you two five more minutes, before I snap.
Hae Jin: Like I was saying Sung-Yoon.
Writer: Be more concerned! I'm not joking!
Hae Jin: We should stop talking about it.
Sung-Yoon: I agree with Hae Jin. There’s nothing we can do.
Writer: Unbelievable, am I invisible?
Sung-Yoon: I hope I also find love.
Writer: Let's all hope for the best.
Sung-Yoon: You're suppose to say you will. I will, right?
Writer: Let's all hope for the best.
Sung-Yoon: Shut up if you won't reveal.
Writer: *Sigh, I hate these characters.
Hae Jin: But we kinda like you.
Writer: Really?
Sung-Yoon: You look like a puppy.
Writer: I'm not a dog.
Hae Jin: Yeah, you bring us to life.
Sung-Yoon: Yeah, I only like that about you.
Writer: So sweet. I'll make sure you have a happy ending.
Sung-Yoon: That's so nice of you.
Writer: I wasn't talking to you.
Hae Jin: *Laughing
Sung-Yoon: Better change your mind before I end you.
Writer: End me now! I'm tired of life!
Both:..........
Writer: What?
Sung-Yoon: Never say that again.
Hae Jin: Never.
Sung-Yoon: We'll all disappear if you die.
Writer: Who's dying?..........*Sigh, I'll make this clear. Even if I die, you'll still continue to live. The ones who read this book will keep you alive. You won't disappear, just like I won't when I die.
Sung-Yoon:.......
Hae Jin: Why are we talking about death?
Writer: I know right. It seems we're talking about everything……..
Sung-Yoon: Still, I don't want you to die.
Writer:..........Keep that thought cause it will help. I need it now more than ever.
Sung-Yoon:...........
Hae Jin: Let's talk about something else.
Sung-Yoon: Yeah. This is getting depressing.
Writer: What do you want to talk about?
Hae Jin: Why can't it be a grown ass man?
Writer: Seriously? Still on that?
Hae Jin: I mean, come on, you should understand me.
Sung-Yoon: I understand you Hae Jin. Even I won't like the FBI knocking on my door.
Writer: You two do know you're in Korea, right?
Hae Jin: The FBI doesn't operate here?
Writer: How should I know? You should!
Hae Jin: Then research! I'm a freshly created Korean, remember?!
Sung-Yoon: I actually think they do. Seriously, there's no FBI in Korea?
Writer: God,.......this is getting annoying.
Hae Jin: Change it!
Writer: Change what?
Hae Jin: I don't want a kid!
Writer: And who told you he wants you?
Hae Jin: Is he?
Writer: I thought you read the synopsis.
Hae Jin: That's okay.
Writer: You took it too well.
Hae Jin: Not like nothing can be done. Now, change it. Not a kid.
Writer: I thought you said he'll grow up.
Hae Jin: Change it.
Writer: I can't.
Hae Jin: You can! Just type!
Writer: It is not that easy. Sigh, relax, he'll grow up.
Hae Jin: I want a ‘her’ next time.
Writer: You're dead.
Hae Jin: But I'm still alive.
Writer: My words against me.
Sung-Yoon: Just accept it.
Writer: Fine. Then I'll kill him, write a second season and get you a ‘she’. Like that?
Hae Jin: I don't want anyone to die because of me.
Writer: Then you'll break up, I'll write a second season and get you a ‘she’.
Hae Jin:...........I don't know. Something feels off. You accepted it too quickly.
Writer: What the heck do you want bro.
Hae Jin: Fine, I accept this. Let's see where it goes. If it is bad, then I'll go with what you said.
Writer: Are you forgetting? You'll forget everything we just talked about.
Hae Jin: Right……Let me think about it.
Sung-Yoon: What about me? I want love too.
Writer: You don't need it. You're a strong independent woman.
Sung-Yoon: I'm alive?
Writer: You're a strong independent woman.
Sung-Yoon:...........Just say you won't give me one.
Writer: Who knows, let's see.
Sung-Yoon: Just give a yes or no!
Writer: Yes!
Sung-Yoon: I have a man? I'm straight, right?
Writer:.............
Sung-Yoon: You're quiet.
Writer: You're a strong independent woman.
Sung-Yoon:............This is going nowhere. I'm leaving.
Hae Jin: I got an answer!
Sung-Yoon: Finally, took you long enough.
Writer: Sarcastic.
Hae Jin: I got an answer.
Writer: What is it Hae Jin?
Hae Jin: I'll get into your head and learn it.
Writer: That's creepy. Also, you'll forget to get into my head and learn it.
Hae Jin: I didn't think about that.
Sung-Yoon: Of course not.
Hae Jin: Help me Sung-Yoon.
Sung-Yoon: Have you seen my mood?
Hae Jin: Please. I thought we’re friends.
Sung-Yoon:............Fine.
Hae Jin: Thank you.
Sung-Yoon: Here's what I think. Give up and accept your fate.
Hae Jin: You're not helping.
Writer: Gosh, this is funny. She's right. Give up and accept your fate.
Hae Jin: I hate you two.
Writer: I'll make it as good as I can. I can't promise, but I'll do my best. Trust me.
Hae J
in:...........
Sung-Yoon: Can we leave now?
Writer: Please do. I want to begin as quickly as I can.
Sung-Yoon: If anyone ever reads this, please enjoy it.
Hae Jin: Yeah.
Writer: Don't look so dejected Hae Jin. You have my word. Forget we ever had this conversation and start afresh. All will be well.
Hae Jin:.........The f**k I care. I'm leaving.
Writer: See you two later!!
Sung-Yoon: I wish it is never.
Hae Jin: Who cares.
*Sigh, they're finally gone. Anyways, please enjoy. I hope you have a good time.
