Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Blood Moon's Power
"Make way! Make way!"
"Bastard!"
Paah!
"Didn't we tell you to move?"
Suddenly, a group barged through the crowd with a domineering air, their presence impossible to ignore.
"Hey, look! It's the Blood Moon Group!"
A wave of surprise and awe rippled across the field as murmurs spread.
"Who's the Blood Moon Group?" a newcomer asked, his curiosity piqued.
"They're the best group in the Sin Faction," someone replied proudly. "They've got many high-level aspirants among their ranks. If you're part of the Sin Faction, getting an invitation from them is an honor."
"Oh, that's amazing! Are you a member of theirs, too?" the newcomer asked eagerly.
The human scratched his head awkwardly and replied, "Heh, of course not. They don't accept anyone with a Talent below fourth grade."
"Ahh, that's bad. I only have second Grade talent.. "
---
Kian and the other two overheard the conversation and turned their attention to the group with intrigue.
The Blood Eagle Group members were fully equipped with powerful-looking gear, and a sinister menace lingered in their eyes, making it clear they belonged to the Sin Faction.
Their first stop was Dragzul's side, moving with an air of confidence and dominance.
Leading them was a strikingly handsome young human with a commanding presence.
He towered over Dragzul, exuding effortless superiority, and his eyes glinted with a keen interest.
Dragzul felt uncomfortable under the arrogant gaze of the man standing before him.
"Hey, who are you all? Why are you blocking my way?" Dragzul asked impatiently, his tone laced with irritation.
The leader of the Blood Moon Group smirked and replied, "So, you still have some arrogance left in you. No worries—it'll be gone after one mission."
He continued, "We're from the Blood Moon Group of the Sin Faction. We heard you've got a fifth-grade Talent, and the Supreme Leader has ordered us to bring you in. Come along, boy. Don't waste time here—we're the best of the best."
Dragzul's demonic aura seemed to falter, subdued by the oppressive pressure radiating from the Blood Moon members.
"Alright, at least give me some time to think..." Dragzul replied cautiously.
He didn't know anything about them and thought it would be unwise to trust their claims based solely on others' comments.
The Blood Moon leader smiled slyly. "Sure, take your time, little investigator. But let me tell you—you won't find anyone better than us."
With that, the leader turned and began heading toward Kian's group.
Kian's team grew tense as the Blood Moon members approached them. The sinister aura radiating from their Sin Faction origins had already planted seeds of dislike in their hearts.
"You dare, Eagle! Where do you think you're going? That's the Virtue Faction! We can't let you cross over there."
Suddenly, the Blood Moon members' path was blocked by a group from the Virtue Faction.
They stood tall, upright, and valiant, shielding the newcomers of Virtue Faction from the sinister clutches of the Blood Moon group.
The Blood Moon group leader, named Eagle, narrowed his eyes, his expression turning cold.
Paah!
"What's it to you, weaklings?"
Eagle's slap sent the Virtue Faction member sprawling to the ground, his soul visibly flickering from the impact.
"How dare you block the Blood Moon's path, you third-rate group!" Eagle snarled.
The injured member lay motionless, the severity of his soul wound causing gasps of alarm from others in the Virtue Faction.
"Is he dead?" someone whispered in horror.
"Oh no... The Blood Moon group is pure evil!"
The murmurs of fear and disdain were ignored by the Blood Moon members, who instead turned their sharp gazes toward Silvy and Ben.
Eagle's demeanor shifted instantly to a mockingly welcoming tone.
"So, you're the Heavenly and Dual Talents of the Virtue Faction. Come along, you two. Sorry, but we'll be taking you now," he muttered with a cruel edge in his voice.
Without hesitation, his hand shot out arrogantly, gripping Silvy's delicate hand as if she had no choice in the matter.
Silvy frowned while Ben panicked, flailing his arms in exaggerated distress.
"Help! Help! This is kidnapping! Where's that old man? Are there no rules here?" he shouted, but his cries fell on deaf ears.
The crowd around them averted their eyes, unwilling to confront the Blood Moon group. Heads hung low in shame, their silence speaking louder than words.
Silvy's usually calm demeanor cracked, her face showing clear displeasure.
"Hey! Let me go! Where are you taking me? I don't want to join your stupid team!" she spat hatefully, her voice sharp and defiant.
Eagle smirked, his grip tightening. "Oh, you will, sweetheart. Once you get to know us better..."
His dismissive attitude only fueled her anger, while the rest of the Blood Moon members completely ignored Ben's protests, treating him as nothing more than background noise.
Kian, however, was an entirely different story. They didn't even spare him a glance, brushing him off as trash, unworthy of their attention.
Kian felt a momentary sense of relief at being overlooked. But that relief quickly turned to worry as he glanced at his two companions, uncertain of how to help them.
Even though it seemed reckless, Kian decided to take a gamble.
He darted forward and positioned himself in front of the Blood Moon group, blocking their path just as they turned to Dragzul.
"Sir, we're from Virtue faction. Please, let my teammates go. We need time to think, just like you gave him," Kian requested, pointing at Dragzul.
For a moment, there was silence. Then, laughter erupted from the Blood Moon members behind Eagle, their mocking jeers echoing across the area.
"Hahaha... is this guy serious?" one of them sneered.
"Did the trash finally decide to talk?" another added with a wicked grin.
"Haha... Man, I thought there was poop on the ground. How can you two take this trash with the lowest grade talent into your team?" one man commented with disdain, looking at Ben and Silvy for answers.
"It's none of your business!" Silvy said with hatred. "And Stop molesting me, you gross human."
Ben and Silvy were touched by Kian's effort to help, despite knowing he was no match for them.
But the situation still remained helpless.
Even their own talents failed him before Blood Moon's overwhelming Soul Force.
