Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Giving You a Chance to Kill Me

Facing the overwhelming, almost tangible killing intent emanating from Scaramouche, Lin Yide remained composed and calm, as if the icy hostility couldn't touch his heartstrings.

He stood up from the iron-framed bed and said indifferently, "Since you want to kill me, I'll give you a chance. Follow me to Tatarasuna."

Upon hearing this, Scaramouche's face twisted into a maniacal smile, and he sneered, "Oh? Are you worried that fighting here might harm those insignificant humans?"

Lin Yide shook his head slightly, a trace of pity appearing on his face. He said softly, "No, you're overthinking it. I just pity you, a waste and a fool, which is why I'm giving you this chance to kill me."

Scaramouche burst into laughter, his voice filled with disdain and arrogance. "Hahahaha! That's the most absurd joke I've ever heard!"

However, Lin Yide remained unshaken by the mockery. He spoke calmly, "This isn't funny. I suggest you step outside and take a look. You'll find two hundred Fontaine military autonomous humanoid machines waiting, their cannons already aimed at you."

Scaramouche's laughter froze on his face. He could no longer laugh so easily. Although he prided himself on his strength, facing two hundred Fontaine military machines at once was no small feat. If other powerful Vision holders joined the fray, he might very well be defeated.

He snorted coldly, "Since you're asking for death, I'll oblige." With that, he immediately stood up and walked toward the door.

As soon as he stepped outside, he was met with the sight of densely packed, neatly lined-up military humanoid machines. Their cold, emotionless cannons were locked onto him, ready to fire shells capable of destroying a small town with a single command.

Suddenly, a cold smile flickered across Scaramouche's lips. That fool Yide was truly an idiot. Instead of using these machines to attack him while he was unprepared, he chose to duel at Tatarasuna. People who believe in justice and fairness really aren't that bright.

Just as Scaramouche was about to leave, he noticed Imai Jiro standing nearby, watching him with a complex expression. Scaramouche walked past Imagawa without a word or glance, moving forward indifferently.

But after a few steps, he heard a concerned voice from behind, "Kunikuzushi, make sure you come back safely!"

He let out a self-mocking chuckle and continued striding forward without looking back, leaving behind a lonely figure.

About half an hour later, Scaramouche and Lin Yide arrived at a desolate area in Tatarasuna, one after the other.

As he set foot on this land again, painful memories flooded Scaramouche's mind, twisting his face with resentment and malice.

"Scaramouche, judging by your expression, are you recalling your days of forging iron in Tatarasuna?" Lin Yide asked in a light tone.

Scaramouche's face darkened, and he loathed anyone bringing up that past. He gritted his teeth and said, "I swear, I'll slowly torture you to death!"

"Oh, really?" Lin Yide responded with a faint smile, unfazed by Scaramouche's threat.

In his hand, a jet-black one-handed sword materialized, reflecting a cold gleam under the sunlight.

Scaramouche's aura suddenly shifted, as if a demon had crawled out of the abyss, exuding a terrifying, malevolent energy.

In that instant, Scaramouche lunged at Lin Yide like a bolt of purple lightning, his right hand transforming into a ghostly claw wreathed in dark purple lightning.

A sinister smile spread across Scaramouche's face, as if he could already see himself tearing out Lin Yide's heart.

However, in the next second, his expression froze.

A pure white ice shield appeared out of nowhere, blocking his path. The sturdy ice layer firmly halted his otherwise unstoppable attack.

At the same time, Lin Yide's black sword thrust toward Scaramouche's chest at an incredibly tricky angle.

Scaramouche's reflexes were quick. He sidestepped at the last moment, narrowly avoiding the fatal strike. The black blade grazed past his chest, sending a chill through him.

A wave of fear washed over him. If he hadn't reacted fast enough, he would have been severely injured.

At this moment, Scaramouche completely set aside his arrogance and underestimation.

"Yide, you're indeed strong, but this is where it ends."

As soon as he finished speaking, a powerful Archon-like energy erupted from Scaramouche's chest. His purple eyes deepened, eventually turning into a profound black.

With a cold shout, his figure moved like lightning, charging fiercely at Lin Yide once more.

This time, Scaramouche's claw, carrying the force of a thunderstorm, pierced through the previously indestructible white ice shield.

However, just as he thought he was about to succeed, a purple lightning shield appeared before him, blocking his path.

To his astonishment, he faintly saw a blue water shield standing quietly behind the lightning shield.

Scaramouche's face showed disbelief.

How was this possible?

He had never seen anyone who could control three elements.

Before Scaramouche could suppress his shock, Lin Yide's black sword, now imbued with ice, lightning, and water elements, came at him.

The three elements coiled around the black sword like agile snakes, emitting a chilling light.

Scaramouche tried to dodge, but the sword was too fast. He could only watch as it slammed into him with tremendous force.

The impact sent him flying dozens of meters. He tumbled through the air before crashing heavily to the ground.

Superconduct, Electro-Charged, and Frozen reactions erupted on his body one after another, like a raging storm, wreaking havoc on his form.

He felt as if countless needles were piercing his body, the intense pain making it hard to breathe.

With just this one strike, Scaramouche suffered unprecedented damage.
