Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 368: Government officials

As the portal's power reached 100%, a bright light slowly illuminated the circle at its center. The circle, initially facing upward, began to rotate slowly before stopping to face forward, forming a majestic entrance and exit.

Soon, a curtain of light resembling flowing water started to coat the circular gate, creating an effect like a window into another dimension. The five pillars surrounding the portal emitted intense beams of light into the sky, forming straight lines that seemed to pierce through the heavens.

The staff stationed around the platform stood frozen, captivated by the wonder before their eyes. As the light from the five pillars ascended, their eyes were filled with awe.

"Is it active now? This portal is enormous," said one of the staff in disbelief, trying to see the tops of the towering pillars.

"Of course, it's an interrealm portal," replied his colleague in a similar tone, still staring at the extraordinary light display. Find adventures at empire

It wasn't just the staff near the portal who noticed the phenomenon; people far from the location could see it as well. From tall buildings, the light beams from the five pillars were clearly visible piercing the sky.

On the city streets, many people stopped, mesmerized by the breathtaking sight. Some began raising their phones, recording and taking pictures, then uploading them to social media in hopes of gaining attention.

"So powerful," Lein murmured, feeling the immense energy radiating from the portal.

It felt like invisible waves gently yet powerfully striking his body. Lein stood still for a moment, observing the portal with keen attention. Before attempting to use it, he opened the system panel in front of him, his fingers swiftly typing a message to someone.

Moments later, a small portal appeared nearby. A greenish light radiated from the portal, and from within, a shirtless man stepped out. On his back was a massive golden hammer tied with sturdy ropes, reflecting the glow of the main portal's light.

"Good afternoon, Lord Lein. Is there anything I can assist you with?" the man said in a deep yet polite voice.

His eyes immediately focused on the colossal portal before him, standing majestically in the middle of the platform.

"What a powerful portal," he muttered softly, almost unconsciously letting his mouth hang slightly open. His steps brought him closer, his hand touching the portal's status panel, trying to read the data displayed.

"Wait for the others. You're coming with me to Guandu Realm," Lein said casually but with authority.

His mind was now focused on the primary purpose of this journey: to check on the seed store he had established in Guandu Realm. He hoped his clone had been performing well, maintaining the business there.

Shortly after Bagus arrived, the soft hum of machinery filled the air. A futuristic flying car descended slowly near the portal platform. Its doors opened automatically, and several staff members from the World Market Trade Alliance stepped out with precision.

At the forefront of the group, a middle-aged woman walked gracefully. Her hair was neatly tied up in a bun, exuding a professional aura so strong it was hard to ignore.

Her gaze was calm yet sharp, reflecting her experience and authority. Behind her, two men in white uniforms walked briskly, maintaining a high level of vigilance as they guarded the woman. They were special bodyguards assigned to protect important officials.

The group was rounded out by about twenty black-uniformed staff, both men and women, marching in unison, creating a formal and well-organized atmosphere.

"Good afternoon, Sir. Fatmawati is at your service," the middle-aged woman greeted while slightly bowing. Her voice was calm yet warm, displaying perfect etiquette.

Lein returned the greeting politely, "Good afternoon, Madam Fatmawati. I apologize for disrupting your time. I'd like to request your assistance in inspecting our branch store in Guandu Realm." Lein's demeanor was respectful, reflecting the high regard he held for the woman standing before him.

As a leader, he deeply respected the experts and professionals who helped maintain stability in the Celestial Divine Realm.

Fatmawati was not just an ordinary official. She was one of the main pillars of the government, a professor and doctor assigned to oversee the economic sector of the Celestial Divine Realm.

Officials like her were not interested in pursuing physical strength, but their dedication to knowledge had resolved many challenges Lein faced in managing the Celestial Divine Realm.

Gradually, Earth's technology began merging with the technology of the Celestial Divine Realm thanks to their efforts. Airplanes, floating cars, and even a new internet system were the results of their relentless innovation.

To ensure their safety, Lein provided special escorts. Each professor was guarded by two Tier-Master level bodyguards, symbolizing how crucial their roles were in this world.

"No need to be formal, Lord Lein. I am ready to assist," Fatmawati replied with a firm yet warm tone. She stood tall with her assistants, waiting for further instructions from Lein.

Lein gave a small nod, observing the group in front of him with thoughtful eyes. Although he appeared calm, his mind was clearly preoccupied. He was still waiting for someone else.

Meanwhile, Bagus, who had been busy inspecting the portal, approached them. His face still bore traces of amazement at the portal's beauty and power. "Hello, Madam Fatmawati. How are you?" he asked with his characteristic relaxed smile.

"Very well, Mr. Bagus," Fatmawati replied, maintaining her professional demeanor.

Bagus nodded, then shook Fatmawati's hand respectfully. Afterward, he glanced at the two bodyguards standing behind Fatmawati. His eyes reflected curiosity, as if he wanted to know more about them.

"And you, where are you from?" Bagus asked curiously, his eyes focusing on one of the bodyguards behind Madam Fatmawati, noticing the man's extremely pale complexion as if he rarely saw sunlight.

"I am from Germany, Sir," the bodyguard replied in a calm yet confident voice.

"Oh, from Germany," Bagus muttered, nodding slightly. His expression shifted as if trying to recall something from his memory. A few German phrases he had learned in school suddenly came to mind. He attempted to say them, though with a hesitant and broken tone. "Wie geht es Ihnen?"

The bodyguard gave a faint smile upon hearing Bagus's far-from-perfect accent but politely responded, "Mir geht's gut, danke!"

Bagus simply returned a wide smile and a satisfied nod, even though he didn't fully understand what had just been said. In his usual laid-back style, he gave a thumbs-up, signaling "OK." His comical expression lightened the atmosphere.

Afterward, Bagus turned his attention to the group of black-uniformed staff standing behind. With enthusiasm, he began greeting them one by one, his smile never fading.

Lein, observing all this from the side, could only let out a long sigh. A resigned look crossed his face. Of the twelve core members of the alliance, only Bagus was the most unpredictable.

His personality was so active and cheerful, often crossing boundaries. Yet, it was precisely that personality that made him approachable to everyone. Lein knew that although Bagus's antics often made him shake his head, there was a reason he chose this man to accompany him today.
