Huo Yuhao asked with a calm smile. Shi Dongsheng fell silent at his words.

"My teacher wouldn't have let us come to such a dangerous place without a good reason. There's no need to worry, Captain Shi. With sea soul beasts of this scale, I might even be able to handle them alone."

Shi Dongsheng gave Huo Yuhao a deep look, then nodded without hesitation.

"Alright. I trust you. Just don't push yourself. I'll head south, you two take care of the north."

"Understood, Captain Shi."

Activating their ninth-grade flight soul tools, Huo Yuhao and Meng Hongchen soared toward the northern breach where sea soul beasts were flooding in. In the distance, the linked defensive soul tool barrier flickered under the pressure of the relentless assault.

Through the Spiritual Detection Sharing domain, tactical units on the northern front were notified of their arrival. Though many were skeptical that just two people could turn the tide in such a desperate situation, they still held a sliver of hope that something might shift in their favor.

With Captain Shi Dongsheng, a powerful eighth-grade soul engineer, reinforcing the south, the true turning point now rested in the north—where Huo Yuhao and Meng Hongchen were heading.

As the third wave of ten-thousand-year sea soul beasts continued approaching from afar, Huo Yuhao and Meng Hongchen held hands, racing ahead. With the speed of their ninth-grade flight tools, it took them only seconds to reach the front.

Upon arrival, they saw tactical squads already locked in fierce underwater combat with the invading sea soul beasts. They wore diving and propulsion equipment, activating mobile soul tools while fighting. Waves of sea soul beasts were pouring through the breach, and even more were battering the barrier outside, desperate to force their way in.

The scene was harrowing. Swarms of savage sea soul beasts surged forward like a flood. The tactical squads fought valiantly, but the beasts seemed frenzied, as if driven mad by some unknown force. Blood dyed the sea completely red, sending a chill straight to the heart.

Countless sea soul beast corpses floated on the surface, along with white, yellow, and purple soul rings.

But seeing such a massive gathering of sea soul beasts, Huo Yuhao actually smiled. Hovering above the battlefield with Meng Hongchen, he turned and said,

"Senior Sister, just focus on helping me replenish my soul power. If I faint from overuse, I'll be counting on you to drag me back."

Meng Hongchen rolled her eyes.

"Got it. Seriously though, I wanted to show off a little too! But you've got way too many broken-tier skills, don't you?"

Huo Yuhao chuckled. Through the domain, he broadcast a message to the soldiers below, currently engaged in brutal combat.

"Brothers, I'm about to go big—mind giving me some space?"

Hearing his voice in their minds, the soldiers all glanced up toward the two figures in the sky. They didn't know what "go big" meant, but they understood that this outsider planned to use a soul skill against the invading sea soul beasts.

Could he really pull it off?

Though some were doubtful, they had already witnessed the power of Huo Yuhao's exceptional spiritual domain. And with Captain Shi's prior orders to cooperate fully, they chose to trust him and began retreating from the immediate battle zone.

The berserk sea soul beasts, of course, didn't realize this retreat was part of a trap. They continued to rush forward, climbing over the corpses of their fallen kin in a relentless advance.

Huo Yuhao closed his eyes tightly, circulating his soul power and using his spiritual domain to sense the distribution of all the sea soul beasts. He was waiting for the perfect moment—to maximize the effect of his attack.

The retreating soldiers watched anxiously. At this point, the number of sea soul beasts that had entered the shield exceeded what they could handle. If Huo Yuhao failed to take out enough of them, then even without the third wave, the Sunlight would already be in critical danger.

"Noon has come."

Huo Yuhao murmured, quoting a line from a game he had loved in his past life. The moment had arrived.

At once, a tremendous wave of spiritual energy and bone-chilling cold burst from his body, centering on him and spreading rapidly outward. In an instant, the sea within a kilometer radius turned to ice. Sea soul beasts caught in the frigid zone slowed dramatically, some freezing to death outright from the extreme cold.

Even more widespread than the freezing aura was a powerful mental shockwave. It swept through the area, sending sea soul beasts into chaos. Many fainted, others became disoriented and began running wildly in all directions. The once-organized assault turned into a complete mess. In the confusion, many beasts were killed by their own rampaging allies.

These were Huo Yuhao's two domain-type soul skills unleashed at full power: Spiritual Interference Field and Domain of Perpetual Ice. The effect was devastating. The forward momentum of the sea soul beasts was halted completely. Their offensive had collapsed.

And now that they were incapacitated, Huo Yuhao would deliver the finishing blow.

His eyes snapped open, blazing with terrifying purple light. The right bone of his arm also shone with a deadly combination of purple and earthy golden light.

Rumble!

The sky suddenly changed. What had been merely gloomy before now became oppressively dark purple. Swirling vortexes of violet energy began forming rapidly across the skies.

Within seconds, a thousand meters of ocean was covered in spinning purple maelstroms. Without warning, countless pillars of destructive violet light rained down from the vortexes.

It looked as if some wrathful deity had descended. The destruction beams pierced the ice and struck the sea soul beasts below without resistance. Any beast touched by even a thread of this light was instantly vaporized into dust—silent and absolute—leaving behind nothing but a solitary soul ring.
