Capone: Fortress of Ambition

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Jack the Drought (Part 2)

On the tenth day, they finally escaped the hellish sea and quickly found an island to dock at.

Honeydew Island!

It was an island lush with honeydew melons, featuring a commercial town where they resupplied and rested.

"Godfather, bad news! Jack's pirate ship has caught up to us again!" One of his men ran over, flustered and pointing at the ship silhouettes appearing in the distance.

Of Jack's original five-ship fleet, only two pirate ships remained; three had been swallowed by ocean whirlpools in the hellish sea.

"It seems the lesson wasn't harsh enough," Bege sneered. The Jack of this period wasn't the one with a one-billion-Berry bounty; Bege truly didn't fear him.

Jack's pirate ship, the Mammoth, rapidly approached Honeydew Island. A colossal figure descended from the sky, slamming into the ground with a tremor and creating a large crater.

From the dust emerged a massive silhouette. The man had a ferocious appearance, wearing a metal crocodile-like mask over his mouth. Two tusk-like ornaments adorned his head and shoulders respectively. His shoulder pauldrons were studded with long spikes, and he wore his hair in a ponytail with two braided sections.

His attire was identical to his appearance in the original story.

"Savage Elephant Jack," Bege narrowed his eyes. At this time, Jack's epithet wasn't "the Drought" but "Savage Elephant," which matched his appearance.

"Capone Bege, I'm going to crush you with one hand!" Jack was utterly enraged. Three of his mere five ships had been destroyed, a loss that pained him deeply. He swore to kill Bege in the most brutal way possible.

Jack let out a low roar, his muscles bulging. The terrifying power within his body seemed to materialize, coiling around him, visible to the naked eye as if light enveloped him.

"Boom!"

Jack charged forward furiously, finally unleashing his full power.

"This guy is tough-skinned and thick-hided, a good training dummy. Haven't you all been wanting to spar with a master? Now's your chance," Bege said with a smile. This was an excellent opportunity for Modi and the others to experience the strength of a truly powerful opponent.

"A pirate with a mere 400 million bounty? I'm not interested," Moria said, arms crossed, showing no interest in Jack. Riki was similarly uninterested.

"Captain, I'll take him," Marklode stepped forward, somewhat intrigued.

"Marklode, this fellow is an Ancient Zoan, Mammoth Fruit user. His strength is terrifyingly immense. Don't be careless," Bege said, puffing on his cigar with a smirk.

"Don't worry, Captain," Marklode replied, full of confidence.

"Bone Giant!" Bone fluid surged from Marklode's right arm, rapidly spinning, accumulating, and solidifying on his limb to form a three-meter-long giant bone fist.

His body shot forward, the massive bone fist smashing towards Jack.

Jack threw a punch in return, terrifying power coiling around it, seemingly transforming into a giant mammoth. It collided violently with Marklode's fist, and the bone fist instantly shattered. Marklode was sent flying by the impact.

The bone shield on Marklode's back broke apart, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He couldn't get back to his feet amidst the shattered earth.

"That guy… he shattered Marklode's Bone Giant fist with a single punch!" Expressions of shock appeared on the faces of Moria and the others.

"Watch me stomp you to death!"

Jack leaped up with a savage grin, instantly soaring tens of meters into the air. His right leg transformed into a colossal mammoth leg and descended vertically, like an enormous beast crashing down.

"Not good!"

Marklode's face changed drastically, and he instantly dodged. Jack slammed down, pulverizing the ground within a radius of tens of meters, causing it to collapse into a deep pit. Countless cracks spread further outwards, and an astonishing shockwave, carrying dust, swept in all directions.

Jack burst out of the deep pit. He didn't go after Marklode but charged directly towards Bege.

"Bege, I'm going to kill you!" Jack grabbed the two long tusk-like ornaments, which unsheathed to reveal two bizarrely shaped large blades.

"If I let you touch the Captain, would I still have the face to remain in the Fire Tank Pirates?" Bone fluid churned all over Marklode's body, solidifying into menacing spiked armor. He charged towards Jack without hesitation.

Countless bone spikes shot through the air. Jack swung his strange blades, deflecting all of them.

"Bone Sea!"

Pools of pale bone fluid flowed out from under Marklode's feet, converging into an ocean that surged towards Jack.

Bege watched this scene, knowing Marklode was starting to fight with his life on the line. Using such a large amount of bone fluid placed an immense burden on his body. Bege estimated that after this battle, Marklode would need at least a few months of recuperation and a large intake of calcium to recover.

Jack ignored the Bone Sea entirely, striding through it as he charged Bege. But the Bone Sea seemed to come alive, climbing up Jack's body. The bone fluid rapidly solidified, spreading further up his form. In an instant, Jack was turned into a bone sculpture.

"Boom!"

The white bone shattered, and Jack broke free, his muscles visibly swelling inch by inch, his eyes wide like copper bells.

At this moment, Marklode rushed over, flinging his hands towards Jack, and sharp bone spikes shot out one after another.

Jack swung his twin blades, blocking all the bone spikes. Then, with a step that shattered the ground, he charged Marklode, who retaliated even more desperately, firing off a barrage of bone spikes.

Some spikes weren't blocked and pierced Jack's body, but his speed didn't decrease in the slightest. He forced his way to Marklode and slashed down.

Marklode condensed a bone blade in his hand, which clashed with Jack's large blade. The bone blade snapped instantly. Jack's blade struck Marklode's menacing bone armor, directly shattering it and sending Marklode flying, leaving a gruesome wound on his chest.

Hank instantly transformed into his Man-Beast form and charged forward with a Soru, his serrated dagger plunging directly into Jack's back.

"It won't go in?!" Hank's expression changed. He had thrust the dagger with all his might, but the entire blade had only gone in halfway, clamped tight by Jack's solid muscles.

Jack's face contorted savagely. He swung his long blade backward at Hank. Hank quickly dodged, but just as he landed, Jack precisely kicked him. Hank spat out a large amount of blood and flew several hundred meters, crashing through four or five large trees before fainting.

Jack roughly pulled the serrated dagger from his back, ignoring the torn wound, and charged furiously towards Bege again, the force of his sprint kicking up a vast cloud of dust.

Many of Sam's mid-tier combatants dared to intervene but were all swatted away with a single slap, sent flying while coughing up blood.

"This guy's body is terrifyingly strong," Moria's eyes gleamed with excitement.

At this moment, Weevil stepped in front of Bege, his bisento in hand, his face filled with killing intent. A brutal and ferocious aura surged from him like a tidal wave.

"You want to kill my brother? I'll kill you first!" Weevil gripped his bisento tightly and charged Jack.

"Small fry, get the hell out of my way! I'm going to kill Capone Bege!"

Jack roared, leaping up explosively, attempting to jump over Modi.

But Weevil also leaped into the air, slashing his bisento at Jack. Jack raised his twin blades to block. The bisento slammed onto the twin blades, and the immense force knocked Jack back.

"Small fry, get out of my way!" The ferocity in Jack's eyes intensified. His arms bestialized, and he strode towards Weevil.

Weevil showed no fear, similarly striding towards Jack.

The two clashed directly with brute force, each blow heavy and powerful. The sonic booms from their impacts made everyone's ears ring. After several rounds of exchange, both Jack's twin blades and Weevil's bisento shattered. They immediately engaged in hand-to-hand combat, and Jack sent Weevil flying with a single punch.

In terms of raw strength, Jack was clearly superior.

Jack's savage eyes widened, glaring at Bege.

"Go to hell, Capone Bege!"

He stubbornly charged Bege once more.

"Iai Slash – Sword Qi Storm!"

Modi's expression was solemn. He slowly drew the sword at his waist. A torrential downpour of sword energy gushed forth, instantly vanishing and reappearing in mid-air. The Iai slash erupted with terrifying sword qi, and as this energy emerged, a storm seemed to form in the air.

"Small fry, get the hell out of my way!" Jack's fist instantly hardened with Armament Haki. The black giant fist shot out, striking the Sword Qi Storm. The terrifying shockwave and the Sword Qi Storm collided. It was as if two tempests had met and were crashing against each other.

Jack shattered the Sword Qi Storm with one punch, but he was also pushed back, his body covered in sword marks, blood trickling from his lips.

"Giant's Thorn!"

Unseen, Marklode had appeared behind Jack. Surging bone fluid solidified into a five-meter-long giant bone spike, aimed at the skidding Jack.

"Pfft!" Jack's body slammed onto the bone spike, which pierced through him, impaling his shoulder. Jack spat out blood, motionless.

Everyone stared at the heavily wounded Jack, panting heavily.

"It's over," Moria stated calmly.

"Not by a long shot," Bege said, expressionlessly puffing on his cigar.

"What do you mean?" Moria and the others frowned.

Jack, lying on the ground, coughed up a mouthful of blood and climbed back to his feet. He grabbed the bone spike embedded in his back with his massive hand and pulled it out.

"Those attacks just now… they were somewhat useful. Almost killed me."
