big brother shina: reborn in the Uchiha clan

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Rallying Allies

Shina and Itachi knew the situation was growing dire. The clan was on the brink of collapse, and the hardliners, led by Daisuke, were manipulating fears to gain support. To counter this, they decided to rally those who still sought peace—a silent majority who needed guidance to stand against the tide.

Their first step was to reach out to influential members of the clan who hadn't yet aligned with either side.

---

The brothers began with Seiji, a skilled and well-respected Uchiha known for his even temperament. They found him at the training grounds, overseeing a group of young shinobi practicing their sparring techniques.

When the session ended, Shina approached him with a wave. "Seiji-nii, got a moment to talk?"

Seiji glanced at him and Itachi, wiping sweat from his brow. "Shina, Itachi. What's on your minds?"

"It's about the clan," Itachi said, his voice calm but deliberate. "We need to discuss what's happening—and what's coming."

Seiji gestured toward a shaded bench nearby. "Alright. Let's talk."

Once seated, Shina got straight to the point. "You've seen how the hardliners are stirring things up. Daisuke's pushing the clan toward a coup, and we're running out of time to stop it."

Seiji frowned but remained composed. "I've heard the talk, but there's more to this than words. What are you asking of me?"

"We need your help," Itachi said. "You're respected, and people trust your judgment. If you speak out against the coup, others will follow."

Seiji leaned back, his gaze thoughtful. "You're asking me to take a dangerous stand, one that could alienate me from the clan—or worse."

"I know it's a lot," Shina admitted. "But if Daisuke succeeds, there won't be a clan left to protect. This isn't just about loyalty; it's about survival."

After a long pause, Seiji sighed and nodded. "You're right. I've always believed in the clan's strength, but war with the village will destroy us. I'll help you, but we must tread carefully."

---

Their next stop was Akane, an elder who was known for her wisdom and neutrality. She had always advocated for balance and moderation, and they knew her support would carry significant weight.

They found Akane tending her garden, her serene demeanor a stark contrast to the tension gripping the clan.

"Shina, Itachi," she greeted them warmly. "What brings you here?"

"We need your guidance," Itachi said, bowing respectfully.

Akane set down her tools and invited them to sit on the veranda. "Tell me what troubles you."

They explained the escalating tension, Daisuke's schemes, and the growing divide in the clan. Akane listened carefully, her expression unreadable.

When they finished, she folded her hands in her lap. "I feared this day would come. The Uchiha have always been proud, but that pride can be our undoing. Daisuke is feeding the flames of anger and resentment, and if he's not stopped, he'll lead us all to ruin."

"That's why we need you," Shina said. "You're one of the few people everyone respects, even the hardliners. If you speak out, it could turn the tide."

Akane studied them for a moment before nodding. "I'll do what I can. But you must be prepared for resistance. The hardliners won't give up easily, and their anger won't disappear overnight. You'll need to show the clan that there's a better path."

"We're ready for that," Itachi said firmly.

---

With Seiji and Akane's support, Shina and Itachi began meeting with other clan members, carefully building a coalition. They knew their movement was fragile, and every conversation had to be handled with care.

Late one evening, as they regrouped in a secluded area near the edge of the compound, Shina leaned back against a tree with a satisfied smirk. "Seiji's in, Akane's in, and we've got a few more on board. Feels like we're finally getting somewhere."

Shisui, sitting cross-legged on the ground, gave a small smile. "You two are doing incredible work. I didn't think we'd gain this much traction so quickly."

"It's not enough yet," Itachi said, his tone serious. "Daisuke still has the majority on his side, and his influence is growing. If we don't act soon, it'll be too late."

Shina's smirk faded as he turned to his brother. "What's the next move?"

"We need to expose Daisuke," Itachi said, his voice cold and resolute. "Publicly. If we can reveal his true intentions and show the clan what he's really after, we can turn the tide."

Shisui's eyes narrowed. "That's dangerous. If you push him too hard, he might act out of desperation."

"That's a risk we have to take," Itachi said. "The longer we wait, the more ground we lose."

Shina cracked his knuckles, his grin returning. "Well, then. Let's make a plan. Time to put Daisuke on the defensive."
