Astral's Adventures

A body came flying by Jaimie as she hoisted her shield up. It was the top of Nightmare's torso. The three of them watched as the body landed on the ground in front of them lifeless. In a state of shock as their conversation with Astral ended.

Astral didn't even realize the fact he killed one of the combatants who were attacking him. He was in a frenzy as the situation around him tensed up, he couldn't get through the masses of Candyland clones and Overlord minions.

All Astral felt in the moment was the anger and hate that was fueling him. A pike ran through his side from God Emperor as Astral turned a full one hundred and eighty degrees, facing him as the blades struck down God Emperor. Now full absorbed in the battle, the only melee user standing between him and the twin jewels was Diddler.

Something much worse was waiting for him however. Jaimie looked deep into the city as she saw Astral fighting versus so much and wanted to help. But something else would happen. James held his head down as they were losing the war. The fronts were holding due to Adam's wish.

"Wait, Adam used his vehicles he had in storage. What does that mean?" Angel looked over to Jaimie as the three of them heard a cough for their attention to be pulled elsewhere. The only man they could not beat alone.

"It means your friend who put his life on the line to buy you time, is buying as much as he could." Titan's voice rang out as Jaimie hopped in front of the twins faster than Adam moved as Titan was taken aback by the speed. James stood up with his claws ready as Angel gripped her spear tightly. "If it makes you feel better, all of his notebook was emptied by the time I killed him." Titan opened his hands as they all looked.

Adam's head rested in his palms as they all became immobilized by the item in his possession. "If you think your fate will be any different I dare you to try." He saw them freeze up, especially Jaimie as she was halted in everything she felt. "He was a great fight, all the things he had inside of his notebook proved to be a fair match for my speed and abilities."

James wanted to move. And as much as Angel wanted to do. They both were waiting to make the first move after Jaimie did anything, she remained frozen at his words as the other two realized they needed to do something. "How long till Astral finishes the others, five minutes?" Titan began to ramble more as the twins slowly stepped in front of Jaimie as she did nothing to stop them.

"Look, the twin jewels are impressive mages, Diddler and God Emperor are great with their weapons, but they just don't have that extra gear we have, right? I mean, my sources tell me you took out Diddler's Jester, and you killed Mu straight up while he was possessing a powerful man."

The two were shocked as Titan spoke the truths. "I can't cleanse the curse Mu put on you, and I won't but all I can do, is delay it. I would prefer if this fight was with all of us at our fullest. And with your ability, you can keep up with the inhuman power levels demanded from me." Titan held his hand up as the cloudy eye of Angel faded to a small corner of her eye.

She saw him in full vision as the two were ready, they trained just for this and to completely stall till Jaimie came around. James elbowed Jaimie as no reaction came from her. "You both are great at what you do, now show that power to the strongest entity of them all. Unless you think Astral is stronger than I am."

The two vanished from sight as Jaimie stood alone. "The thing that will keep me above Astral is the mere fact he has been doing this for less time than I have, and I spend all my lifetime preparing for battle." The twins listened from specific spots all around him, constantly shifting. "But I suppose for this fight you two will be my only play toys." Titan dropped the skull of Adam to the ground.

It hit the ground softly with a thud as Jaimie fell to her knees with it. This was the final straw for James who took action. Slamming into Titan at full speed. Sending him through a skyscraper as James kept the chase on, pouncing on him as Titan went back to the basics. Rolling backwards he stood back up.

Blocking each blow from James with ease. But the claws kept digging into his skin and kept the pressure on and blood flowing. Titan was amazed by what the wonderchild could do. "You have been trained to specifically hold me off."

"Nah, you were the bar to beat." James spat out as he landed a cross slash on his chest before jumping and drop kicking him. Titan did not slide as far back as he stood in the middle of a street with Angel standing still, the rifle in her arms from Astral as she pulled the trigger. The light round pierced Titan's shoulder as he was caught off guard. More light rounds rang through him as he tossed up a magical barrier that absorbed the bullets for a moment before it shattered into pieces. They homed in on the location where Angel was as they hit the ground.

James rushed in and started opening up more wounds on Titan as he was blocking the attacks, each claw that got stuck in his arms snapped off and stayed while James would just make another. Keeping the intensity of it all on. Another deep slash and all Titan could feel was blood leaking from his chest. Soaking James in a shower of red as Titan backed up.

"Ignite." Titan snapped with his hand as the blood on James' body began to boil. Without care or reason James slammed into Titan with full speed. Slamming the man down the street as all the blood flew off of James, breaking his collarbone in the process. Titan felt the blood for a moment as it evaporated in moments touching him.

"Smooth thinking kid." Titan commented as he felt several small slashes cut his layer of skin as two hard slashes cut down to his bone on his shoulders. Angel slid in next to James as he focused his healing on the collarbone. The two of you work well together. Congrats."

"It however is the end of you." Titan stood still as the twins rushed at him. He stood his ground as James summoned a spear from his side satchel. Titan threw a punch at Angel as James blocked it with his spear. Titan's barrage kept going as the two alternated the offensive and defensive efforts of the two. Titan couldn't get through without trying more. The loose feathers of Angel started to accumulate around her head as things were bound to escalate once more.

Titan knew the two of them could not pressure him or defeat him once he started to use magic. Until that point happens, the two could stall. 'I want to see more from these two, not just fancy footwork and some feathers that cut me open.' Titan kept blocking the blows as they both went on the attack, the flurry of spear attacks almost blinded him as they went for his eyes as he wondered where the third was.

Jaimie was on her knees as she crawled over to Adam's head and picked it up with misery in her bones, she felt like nothing else could go wrong with life. She looked into the lifeless eyes of Adam as the glasses fell to the ground. Hearing them crack she felt a shift back into reality. "I NEED TO SAVE THEM, I WON'T FAIL YOU ADAM!" Jaimie came to her senses as she prepared to rush in.
