Ascension of the Monster Queen

As Nessa was sleeping that night, she began having dreams of a destruction to come, it was something that felt real to her and as she began seeing how bad it was with a different color flaming spreading everywhere.

Nessa felt as though it was going to reach her and she woke up from her sleep and looked at her right hand, which had begun glowing, reacting to defense and she exhaled deeply.

'What the hell was that? This is not the first time I have seen a dream like this, what on earth does this even mean?' Nessa wondered as her brows furrowed, thinking about it and since she was still tired.

The girl placed her head on her pillow and she sighed then closed her eyes, after which, she fell asleep, but this time, there was no more of the dream, not yet at least.

The next morning, when Nessa woke up, she stretched off but was still bothered then she looked at the time and saw she slept in a bit and she got out of her bed immediately.

"I have to get going, damn it," She said as she rushed to grab her clothes then went to freshen up immediately.

As Nessa was taking her bath, she felt a sting on her back and she gritted her teeth, wondering what was happening then she exhaled deeply, trying to just let it be since it would be of no use asking the system to check, since it won't know either.

A little while later, when the girl finished taking her bath, she got dressed then went into the room to dry her hair, which she had washed.

"Good morning," The demon said and she turned around immediately, causing her hair to hit the side of his face.

"I am sorry," She said as she stared at him, due to how close she was but yet couldn't see his face and he glanced at her then moved her hair off of his face and she looked at him.

"I am a little at fault as well, there is no need to apologize, you are close, do you want to see my face?" He asked and a blank expression appeared in her eyes.

"Hmm, even if I did answer that, I am pretty sure that I won't be able to, don't try and play with me, you might get hurt, unless you want to?" She asked as she looked at him and a smirk appeared on his face then he glanced at her.

"Hmm, I am not sure whether I should answer that or not, what do you think, my lady?" He asked as he leaned in closer to her and she pulled back a little and his eyes narrowed.

"You are too close," She responded as she moved away from him and he scoffed then she sighed before lowering her head a little as she continued drying her hair, which was still wet.

"Is something wrong?" He asked and she glanced at him.

"No, are you ready for more work today?" She asked.

"Already started, you could say since last night," He responded and she turned to look at him.

"Eh? Are you serious?" She asked and he nodded, while going to the balcony door.

Nessa stopped drying her hair, since she was finished and she looked at him, when she noticed that he was paying close attention to the things around him and she scoffed.

"Hey, how old are you?" She asked and he turned around to look at her then tilted his head a little to the right since her question came as a little surprise to him.

"Well, I was not expecting you to ask that, why do you want to know?" He asked.

"Curious," She responded.

"I am a little bit older than you are," He said and she scoffed.

"Are you really though?" She asked and his eyes narrowed as he looked at her then began thinking about a few things and she peeked at him then he sighed.

"Forget it, maybe or maybe not, you will know soon enough, shall we head to breakfast, the king wants to meet with us?" He asked and just then she remembered, what he had said to her the day before.

"Ah, yes I remember, then, let's go have breakfast then talk to the king after," She responded and he nodded then they left her room together and at the same time, they ran into Zack and Mikala.

"Ah, Mikala, Zack," Nessa said and Mikala looked at the demon then at Nessa and a smile appeared on her face.

"Good morning you two," Mikala replied and Nessa's brows furrowed when she saw the way the girl was looking at them and the demon scoffed, knowing what she was thinking and Zack sighed.

"Stop it, don't jump to conclusions," Zack said and a grin appeared on her face and Nessa sighed then placed her hand on the girl's shoulder and Mikala flinched.

"Nessa... I wasn't thinking anything," She said and Zack laughed and Nessa chuckled. Stay tuned with empire

"I didn't even say anything as yet, stop thinking what you are, there is nothing like that, he just came to get me from my room, he is my assistant after all," Nessa replied as she walked past Mikala then glanced back at the demon who chuckled.

"Shall we go to breakfast now? I heard the king has an announcement to make today as well," Zack said and they looked at each other, wondering what it was.

"He does? Well, that's a bit odd, he didn't even say anything to any of us, I guess we should go before we miss anything he has to say or so on, come on guys," Mikala replied as she took off and Zack scoffed, when he noticed Nessa was looking at him and he smiled nervously.

"I can see it, there is no need to hide it, there is nothing wrong with that, as long as your heart is in the right place, Zack," She said as she left and Zack left staring at her, then he smiled and all of them went together to the dining hall, where upon entering, they saw everyone else was there.
