Looking at my improved stats, I couldn't help but grin. "I'm getting closer to being ready for Alucard," I thought, considering paying him a visit.
Exiting the dungeon, I flopped onto my bed, exhausted but satisfied. As I scrolled through my inventory, something caught my eye—an item I'd completely overlooked:
Blacksmith Set:
"This set can only be placed in a large open area. When activated, it will transform into a fully equipped blacksmith station. Comes in capsule form. Press the button and toss it where you want. You will have 10 seconds to do so."
Curious, I grabbed the small capsule, reminiscent of something out of Dragon Ball. Deciding to try it out, I left my room.
Walking into the living room, I saw Asia and Koneko chatting. When they noticed me, they smiled. Suspicious. Very suspicious.
"Hey, girls. Wanna see a magic trick?" I asked with a grin.
Koneko crossed her arms. "I'm a devil. I've seen magic before."
Asia tilted her head. "And I use healing magic daily."
I rolled my eyes. "Just humor me, okay?"
They exchanged glances, then followed me outside to the backyard. There was a barren patch of grass, a perfect spot for what I had in mind. Holding up the capsule, I pressed the button.
"What's that?" Asia asked, curious.
"You'll see," I replied with a smirk, tossing it into the middle of the dead grass.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, with a faint beep, the capsule exploded into a puff of smoke, revealing a fully equipped blacksmith station.
The anvil gleamed under the sunlight, a forge roared to life, and a variety of tools hung neatly on the station's racks.
Koneko blinked.
"Wait for it," I said with a smirk, turning to Asia and Koneko.
As the girls watched, a cloud of thick smoke erupted from the capsule. Once it cleared, what stood before us was nothing short of impressive—a fully equipped blacksmith's garage.
An anvil gleamed in the center, racks of tools lined the walls, and a roaring forge radiated heat. Everything a blacksmith could ever need to create weapons, armor, or anything else.
I turned to look at Asia and Koneko. Their eyes were as wide as plates, their expressions a mix of awe and disbelief.
I couldn't help but laugh, especially at Koneko's reaction. It was rare to see her show emotion, and the sight of her genuinely surprised face was priceless.
Of course, she quickly noticed me laughing and blushed furiously before flicking me on the forehead—hard.
"Ow!" I whined, rubbing the spot.
"How did you even do that?" Koneko asked, crossing her arms.
"Magic," I said with a grin.
"But how?" Asia chimed in, her curiosity shining through.
"Science and magic," I replied cryptically, enjoying the mix of intrigue and exasperation on their faces.
Koneko sighed. "Of course."
Just then, a notification popped up in my vision:
[New Skill Acquired!]
Blacksmithing: Level 1/100
I smiled at the notification, eager to try my hand at the craft. "Alright, girls, I'm going to start working in here. Let me know if you need me."
Knowing the forge would get hot, I pulled off my shirt, revealing a black tank top underneath. As I moved to set up my workspace, I noticed my muscles had become more defined—an unintentional benefit of my training and leveling up.
I glanced back to see Asia and Koneko staring at me, their faces bright red. I couldn't resist teasing them.
"What's wrong?" I said, smirking. "Like what you see?"
To push it further, I struck a flexing pose just to mess with them. Their blushes deepened, and I knew I'd crossed a line when—
Flick!
"Ow!" I whined again, rubbing my forehead.
Koneko glared at me, cheeks still tinted pink. "Serves you right."
….
Hours later, I'd made some solid progress in my craft. My blacksmithing skill had leveled up significantly:
Blacksmithing: Level 17/100
Using the materials in my inventory, I forged a pair of gauntlets for myself and another pair for Koneko. I reinforced them with dragon bones, and when I finished, I decided to inspect them using Observe.
[Dragon Gauntlets]
• Class: S
• Effect: Enhances Strength, Endurance, and Agility by +10 each.
I grinned, impressed with my handiwork. These would definitely come in handy.
Satisfied, I headed into the kitchen to find Koneko. She was focused on cooking, her movements precise and deliberate. A mischievous idea popped into my head. Quietly, I crept up behind her and—
"Boo!" I shouted.
"Ahh!" Koneko yelped in surprise, spinning around and instinctively punching me square in the face.
I stumbled back, quickly glancing at my health bar. She'd done 60 damage with that punch—not bad for her size. I rubbed my jaw and gave her a sheepish grin.
"Oh no, Shiro! Are you okay?" she asked, rushing over to me with genuine concern.
I waved her off, trying to downplay it. "I'm fine. A weak punch like that won't hurt me."
Her expression shifted, and I immediately knew I'd messed up.
Flick!
"Ow!" I whined for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
Koneko huffed, crossing her arms. "So, what did you want?"
Still grinning, I reached behind me and revealed the gauntlets I'd made. "To give you these."
Her eyes widened as she stared at the gloves, then back at me. For a moment, she seemed at a loss for words.
