Saeko Busujima: "Ahem, perhaps I can explain what vectors are."

Saeko Busujima: "Simply put, a vector is a quantity that has both magnitude and direction."

Saeko Busujima: "As for vector manipulation…"

She didn't continue, thinking her guess might be too far-fetched.

Tatsuki: "You guessed right. Vector manipulation is the ability to freely control the direction of vectors and, therefore, manipulate the forces they represent."

Tatsuki: "However, the scope of vectors in this ability extends far beyond their definition in physics."

Tatsuki: "It's not limited to physical vectors like momentum or electromagnetism—it also includes directional physical phenomena like light rays, radiation, infrasound waves, oxygen levels, and so on."

Tatsuki: "All of these fall within the range of what vector manipulation can control."

Tatsuki could only describe it as hippopotamus physics—don't try to define it with conventional physics!

March 7th: "Wow… my head is spinning. I recognize every word, but when you put them together, I don't understand a thing!"

Aqua: "This goddess doesn't need to understand. Divine power is all that matters!"

Exusiai: "I get it. That's incredible! It feels so much stronger than Originium Arts."

Saeko Busujima: "The ability to freely manipulate vectors… truly unbelievable."

Tatsuki: "Haha, no matter how strong the ability is, it still needs upgrades."

Tatsuki: "Anyway, no more talk for now. Feeling generous—here's a red packet!"

[Tatsuki has sent an apocalypse points red packet!]

[Exusiai has claimed it!]

[March 7th has claimed it!]

[Aqua has claimed it!]

[Saeko Busujima has claimed it!]

March 7th: "Wow! I got 100 points—luckiest of the group! Thanks, boss! Love you!"

Exusiai: "Got 80 points. Thanks, boss!"

Aqua: "Why am I the lowest again? Only 50 points! Has the goddess's luck abandoned me?"

Saeko Busujima: "70 points. Thank you, Tatsuki-kun."

Tatsuki didn't mind.

Three hundred points weren't much compared to the ability he'd drawn.

Plus, he'd tested all the new group features in one go—totally worth it.

"Tatsuki, can you hear me?"

A clear, anxious voice broke through his thoughts.

Tatsuki's attention snapped back to reality, only to find himself enveloped in darkness.

Instinctively, he reached out his hand.

"Ah!"

A startled cry rang out.

"…"

Tatsuki froze in silence.

It seemed his hand had touched… somewhere it shouldn't have.

He quickly pulled his hand back.

Awkwardly clearing his throat, he tried to play it off.

"Ahem… um, what just happened?"

"…"

After a brief silence, the voice in the darkness trembled slightly as it responded.

"The zombies outside seem to be making strange noises, so I turned off the lights," Yukino explained.

Tatsuki made his way to the window, this time careful not to accidentally touch Yukino as he had earlier.

He lifted a corner of the blanket blocking the window and carefully opened it.

The noise from outside was chaotic—a cacophony of growls and roars.

"Roar!"

"Graar!"

"Hiss!"

The sounds were relentless, with groups of zombies howling as if they'd been injected with adrenaline.

Tatsuki quietly shut the window and replaced the blanket.

He voiced his suspicion. "I think it's because it's nighttime. The zombies seem to be more active now."

"Let's avoid using lights at night to keep from attracting them. I'd really like to get some proper sleep."

"Understood," Yukino replied softly.

The room fell into silence.

Eventually, Tatsuki broke the awkwardness.

"Uh… should I go to sleep first, then?"

"Alright."

Hearing the sound of Yukino getting up from her bed, Tatsuki lay down on his.

Yukino returned to her bed across from his.

In the darkness, Yukino gently smoothed her skirt and bit her lip.

She could still feel a faint warmth where Tatsuki had accidentally touched her earlier.

Adding to that, it was her first time sharing a room with a boy.

Her nervousness, embarrassment, and restless thoughts made it hard for her to fall asleep.

Tatsuki, on the other hand, was exhausted from the day's work.

Before long, his steady breathing signaled that he had fallen asleep.

Hearing this, Yukino tried to relax as well.

She focused on her breathing and closed her eyes.

Rustle, rustle.

The faint noise stirred Yukino awake.

She opened her eyes to see Tatsuki already up, bare-chested, stretching his arms and shoulders.

Sitting up, she caught his attention.

Noticing her, Tatsuki wiped the sweat from his forehead and turned to her. "Did I wake you?"

"No, I just woke up," she replied.

Tatsuki sat across from her, using what seemed to be a clean towel to dry his sweat.

Yukino's eyes drifted to his smooth skin and well-defined muscles, paired with his healthy, handsome face.

For a moment, she found it hard to look away.

She began to understand why some girls were so enamored with athletic and attractive boys.

"Hm?"

Tatsuki noticed her gaze.

Flustered, Yukino quickly averted her eyes and awkwardly changed the topic.

"What's your plan for today?"

"I'm planning to clear more zombies. But honestly, I'm worried about leaving you here alone," Tatsuki admitted.

Feeling his concern, a warm sensation rose in Yukino's chest.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me. It's because of you that I'm still alive. I don't want to be a burden to you. If I can repay you, I wouldn't mind dying to do so."
