Today, Kaiser wakes up earlier than usual. The morning sunlight filters through the window, bathing the room in a warm golden hue. He uses this quiet time to exercise, feeling every steady breath blend with the crisp morning air. Afterward, he quickly gets dressed and prepares to leave his room for class.

The first class will be Monster Ecology. It is an important theoretical subject at the academy, teaching the behaviors and traits of various monsters. Kaiser is now seated in a large lecture hall with a high ceiling and tiered rows of seats. He chooses a spot in the back of the class, where he can avoid the teacher's gaze and observe everyone else without being disturbed

Although Kaiser doesn't particularly enjoy theoretical subjects, it doesn't mean he isn't good at them. On the contrary, he excels at memorization and analysis. The problem lies in his inability to focus during such lessons. His mind often drifts to distant thoughts, dreaming about more exciting things beyond the classroom. Because of this, Myreni has often been exasperated by his absentmindedness

Sitting there, Kaiser quietly practices mana control using the bracelet on his left wrist. Meanwhile, his gaze sweeps across the students gradually filling the room. Many are chatting enthusiastically, creating a lively atmosphere for the first class. At times, Kaiser considers approaching someone to make a new friend, but he always dismisses the thought 'Not necessary right now' he tells himself

While lost in his thoughts, a cheerful voice calls out from behind him

"Hey, Kaiser, good morning!"

Kaiser lifts his head and turns to see a girl with snow-white hair approaching him. A faint smile crosses his face, reminding him how much he enjoys spending time with her

"Good morning, Amelia," he replies warmly

"How was your day yesterday? I was completely exhausted" Amelia says as she sits in the seat next to him, her face showing traces of fatigue. She props her chin on her hand and sighs

"I had to meet so many people, talking to them was so draining" she complains

Kaiser raises an eyebrow, feeling both sympathy and amusement at her grumbling

"That doesn't sound fun at all. Lucky for me, I had a great day yesterday" he says, his tone light and teasing

"Really? What happened?" Amelia asks, her eyes lighting up with curiosity

Kaiser leans slightly closer, his smile taking on a playful edge

"Nothing much. I just met a really cute girl" he says, a mischievous tone in his voice

Amelia freezes, her eyes widening in disbelief. Before she can say anything, Kaiser continues, his tone still casual

"I even got to visit her house. We spent the whole afternoon together."

Those words hit Amelia like a sudden blow to her mood. Her eyes tremble slightly, and her lips press tightly together. Before long, her eyes glisten with unshed tears

"Y-You jerk!" she yells, her voice filled with indignation

Her sudden outburst echoes across the room, drawing everyone's attention. Nearby students whisper to each other, trying to guess what's going on

"How could you hang out with another girl while I was running around so busy? You're the worst!" she exclaims, her voice trembling with frustration

Kaiser tries to stifle his laughter, but the smile on his face only grows more evident. He says nothing, merely watching Amelia with a teasing glint in his eyes. This only makes the white-haired girl angrier

"What are you laughing at?!" Amelia yells again, her voice still full of indignation

Kaiser finally bursts out laughing and decides to respond

"Amelia, you've got it all wrong. I just said that to tease you. Don't be mad" he says, his tone gentle

Amelia pauses, her eyes filled with doubt and her voice tinged with confusion

"Really? You were just joking about spending time with another girl?"

Kaiser looks slightly sheepish as he rubs the back of his neck. "Well… that part is true," he admits, his voice dragging out hesitantly

"What!?" Amelia exclaims, shock filling her expression. She straightens up, her face a mix of surprise and confusion

Kaiser quickly raises his hands, trying to calm her down

"But it's not what you think!" he says, his tone more serious "She's just someone teaching me how to take care of roses"

His words leave her momentarily baffled. Kaiser then explains Helen's situation to Amelia

"So… to support Helen financially, you asked her to teach you how to grow roses?" Amelia asks

"That's right" Kaiser nods earnestly

"So, the time you spent with her yesterday was just for learning about roses and not… something else, right?" Amelia continues, her tone still skeptical but much calmer now

"Exactly" he confirms, nodding again. This time, however, a mischievous smile returns to his face "I only said that to see your cute reaction"

His words hit Amelia like a surprise attack, making her blush furiously. She turns away, trying to hide her embarrassment. Her lips press together before she mutters softly

"You idiot…"

Kaiser simply smiles. Despite her scolding, he feels an inexplicable warmth from teasing her
